Louisville is technically inside of Kentucky, but the state belongs to the University of Kentucky. Even inside Louisville itself, the city is split between UL fans and UK fans. Outside Louisville, solid UK fans. Those of us who live outside Louisville consider it a bastard child kind of place, as in not really Kentucky.

Today UK beat Louisville 75-73 and yes we were there. At the end of the game, the UL coach, Rick Pitino, gave the UK crowd the middle finger. He is classy that way. He then apparently refused to answer questions after the game. He is probably aware that this might be the last time he will ever coach the Louisville Cardinals against the Kentucky Wildcats. Pitino's Louisville team is being investigated for providing low-class prostitutes to its recruits.

I think every state has a place like that. We even have a country song that goes like We're not from Dallas, we're from Texas.

Perianne, what do you mean by Louisville being a "bastard child"?

@Perianne (http://www.debatepolicy.com/member.php?u=2722), what do you mean by Louisville being a "bastard child"?

Here is an example. The blacks in Louisville think themselves to be like blacks in other large cities. Louisville has not learned how to segregate them like other cities in Kentucky have.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Mall St. Matthews has been closed for the night after several disturbances. Those incidents may have involved as many as 1,000 to 2,000 teens, according to the St. Matthews Police Department.

There has been no confirmation of shots fired inside the mall, although some were reported, and no injuries or arrests have been reported.

Police first responded to the mall around 7 p.m. Saturday in response to numerous unruly youths. According to the SMPD, there were several fights inside the mall and those altercations may have then spread outside.

"We had no indication that anything like this was going to happen at Mall St. Matthews," said Dennis McDonald of the SMPD. "(We) responded to a disturbance, then we began to respond to numerous disturbances inside, and outside, of the mall."

During the disturbances some store owners attempted to close, but in some cases juvenile patrons refused to leave. In some cases, stores were used as safe havens for those trying to escape the chaos.

Eventually, management decided to close the entire mall early.

They should segregate people based on stupidity, not skin color, and let the chips fall where they may.

And what's a Louisville Slugger cost these days? You should get a factory direct discount. :)
