Justin has written his first poem.

Xtra Little Poem Into It Joy

Jesus songs are rivers of joy that flows to our hearts
it then flows to other body parts.

Yes! And even sad and angry sometimes as well. My daughter made me sad and angry with the first guy she chose. I tried to warn her but being stubborn like me she refused to hear. Two years with him and she found out the hard way.
No, I have not told her, "I told you so."!!
I've resisted that urge a few hundred times. ;)

Justin says thanks... -Tyr

Justin wrote a poem at school last week. This morning at breakfast he recited it to me from memory.
Actually it was fairly good- considering his age. I then asked him, if poetry has now started to be interesting to him again, especially since these last 4 or 5 months, he loves to read mine out loud.
He answered with a solid yes...
With that reply- I told him to-- go write a poem on paper, and take your time--give it to me when you the author consider it a finished creation..
Here is the poem he wrote, which to me, shows great promise, should he ever choose to become a poet and actually write!
Just remember he is only ten years old. ok?
I just love how he says- when I--was-- a kid! As if he is now grown!----Tyr

Why I Love To Be A Kid

When I was a little kid
I was called little lid
I played a lot of games
I got some fame

Now I am much older
as time ran, I got bolder
I learned how to ride a bike
to go on a wilderness hike

Now I do math, read and write
learned it is best not to fight

When I was a kid I loved my Ipad
that was bought for me by my dad
When I lost it I was sad
And I was extremely mad

When I told dad I did pout and want to fight
He said, son that very bad way is not right
It is not how a kid should be taught
It was your gift, another will be bought.

the end.

That's great, Tyr!! Lead him in that direction. I've always found that all folks, kids and adults, are much smarter for reading more. Everyone I know that were voracious readers were also intelligent folks, and it seems to be that way here for your little fella already!! :)
