The richer folks already pay more in total numbers even if the percentages are the same. Look at how much taxes Exxon pays per year even though they always get scolded. IMO, they already pay their fair share. Percentage wise, I don't think people should have to pay more or less than anyone else. It's simply legal theft is all.

Hillary Clinton called Monday for a 4 percent “fair share surcharge” on Americans making more than $5 million annually, the first of several proposals she plans to unveil this week aimed at ensuring the wealthy pay a higher effective tax rate than the middle class.

"Right now we’re behind and we have to get the wealthy and the corporations to pay their fair share," the Democratic presidential front-runner said at a campaign rally in Waterloo, Iowa.

It seems that Clintons like to call tax hikes "surcharges" to cover for a plain old tax hike. Bill added a 10% surcharge in '93.

If there is anything the Clinton's are better at than Lying, it's being a demagogue. Pure political BS wrapped up to pit one class of Americans against other Americans. Just the way Obama has been doing for years.

For those who may not know: dem·a·gogue
ˈdeməˌɡäɡ/
noun
a political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument.
synonyms: rabble-rouser, agitator, political agitator, soapbox orator, firebrand, fomenter, provocateur
"he was drawn into a circle of campus demagogues"
(in ancient Greece and Rome) a leader or orator who espoused the cause of the common people.

Of course not. Spending Cuts are a lie anyway.

Here's what happens:

Politicians facing spending cuts start lying to the public: "With reduced revenue we have to CUT social programs! and OTHER "free shit" we give you!" - when the fact is they could choose to cut just about ANY program. They fire-up the voting base of 'takers' with threats of cutting off their "Free" cellular service.

We (society) have little hope; it's in our nature to be lazy. And dumb.
