Hey folks. How is the weather where you are holed up?

Since late last night here at the Mouth of the Rogue in Gold Beach, we have
gotten over 1.5 inches of rain, with wind gusts up to 55 mph, with more rain to come:
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?map.x=94&map.y=42&minlon=-126&maxlon=-119.98&minlat=38.5&maxlat=42.95&mapwidth=354&site=eka&zmx=1&zmy=1#.VpWEPBUrKM8

The good news for you folks is this system is headed East!

Off shore the seas are getting huge with breakers alongshore upwards of 22 feet.

Gold Beach is in the top left of that graphic. You can scroll down the page
and look at other images as well.

We're pretty cold for this time of year.

And, even though it's the "dry season", we have gotten enough to create standing water in my drainage ditches.

It'll be in the 30's tomorrow A/M. My knees are screaming!

The weather here in the peach state has sucked, the 26th of December was 78 degrees but 5 days later we had a low of 14. Since then we have warmed up to the 50's during the day but still cooling good at night and then ( like this week ) we are in a freeze again, 40's during the day and low 20's at night. Tomorrow is going to be 60 ( yes the bike will be out ) but when I look at the extended forecast its going to get cold as hell again next week. And rain, my goodness we have had rain, up until last week we had rain 5 out of 7 days, I still have a mud pit in my front yard, weird weather sure enough.

We had around 24 inches of rain last month, and about 3.5 the last 36 hours.

After the last two winters I'm not complaining at all.

We had our first real snowfall with drifting. It is pretty cold, around 15 right now. But we only got about 2 inches.

We're half way through January, only Feb. to go and then I can look forward to summer

That is the best part of bad weather, it means summer is coming.

Cold here this morning. It snowed too finally! And the best kind of snow in the world, about an 1/8th of an inch. Enough to look cool, but not enough to have to shovel, and not enough to keep the kid home from school! :)

Jim according to the weather channel on my phone they are saying a Nor'easter is going to hit
the North East this weekend, but there is a high temp coming from the north, But according to the video I watched it looks like North Jersey is the cut off, anything north is suppose to get snow and the further north ya go the more snow is suppose to fall.
