Saturday, January 23, 2016 02:25PMSIOUX CENTER, Iowa --
Republican presidential candidate (http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/elections/republican-presidential-candidates.htm) Donald Trump (http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/donald-trump.htm) joked today that he could "shoot somebody" in New York City but still not lose what he called his loyal supporters.

"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?" Trump said to laughter at a rally he held at a Christian college in northwest Iowa. "It's like, incredible."

As he spoke, the billionaire put his fingers into the shape of a gun and acted out pulling the trigger.

He was speaking at Dordt College, in Sioux City, Iowa.

Hillary could LITERALLY directly lead to the death of Americans...She could LITERALLY commit financial crimes...she could LITERALLY betray the most-sensitive of our Nation's Secrets...and not lose any supporters.

Trump was making a point - Hillary is a two-bit criminal with blood on her hands.

If that was his point why was he talking about his supporters and not Hillarys?

that wasnt his point. His point was "Americans are ready for what he brings".

He was bragging about how great his support his. Perhaps a dumb time to use "gun" stuff though. Either way, non story.

Well the explanation regarding a reaction to Hillary's most loyal supporters made a sort of sense, though I couldn't find any such explanation while searching. They both have very loyal supporters.

Seems it was more of a response to National Review.

Sooo um, there are Trump supporters here. If Trump stood in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody.. would you still vote for him rather than not vote at all ... and let Hillary win?

If we REALLY want to debate something that will never happen, and where he was speaking about how great his support is...

I don't think anyone will be voting for someone likely going to jail, and no, even if he doesn't I wouldn't. BUT, I would find a good person to support on the right should he have to drop out, and find the person who next has the most I agree with. I certainly wouldn't go Hillary and certainly wouldn't stay home out of spite and help Hillary. There are lots of good candidates on the right, enough to where I certainly won't be home.
