Prayer is important at Florida’s Cambridge Christian School.
“We train our students that prayer is foundational to their walk with Christ,” Head of School Tim Euler told me. “Our faith is founded in prayer.”

So when Cambridge Christian faced off against University Christian School last December in the 2A state championship football game, they asked the Florida High School Athletic Association if they could begin with a word of prayer.

The FHSAA said no.

They told both Christian schools that offering a pre-game prayer was against the law – that it could be viewed as an endorsement of religion since the schools would be praying on government property.

I laugh every time I see one trying to figure out his change when it costs 17.99 and he hands the cashier a 20 spot.. I've seen many of them argue they get back 3 dollars and one cent.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::la ugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
And dont let it be even more complicated math, they look at dey woman for help.. She usually has a better grasp but not that much better...

People pray on government property (which IS "The People's Property") EVERY F'ing DAY. Several times a day. Xtians, Muslims, and...others? I think FL official is just skeerd to follow the law - which does not prevent prayer on EVERY public property.

Yea that changed real quick when every Wednesday became prayer day, the kids instead of going to the cafeteria when dropped off by the buses went to the flag pole as did quite a few parents and said a prayer. We no longer hear a word about prayer in school.

Which is different than the organization appearing to sanction the prayer. Both teams should have gotten together in the middle of the field before the game and said their prayer. Probably would have been more impactful anyway.
