So Christie tears down Rubio and then drops out a few days later. I think that Jeb Bush and Trump should both be writing big checks to Christie right about now. Maybe Kasich, too, if he has any money left in his account.

Christie is a seasoned politician and Trump is just, well, Trump. Rubio doesn't seem to know how to attack. I suspect he will learn, but will never be good at it. It doesn't seem to be in his character.

Christie was hoping to do better in New Hampshire. I'm sorry he dropped out, but I'm glad he did what he did.

A meltdown like that against Hillary would be a disaster, and even worse against Putin and ayatollahs.

Are you speaking of Christie meltdown or Rubio?

It wasn't a meltdown. That's a melodramatic take, by a media that longs to say such things.

Yeah, I wouldn't say meltdown... he got rattled and he didn't recover instantaneously like a seasoned pro. It was pretty bad considering the stakes and every millisecond scrutinized by millions.

He said he didn't realize how badly he'd bombed until he saw the reactions on Twitter. He's aware and I'm sure he's kicking himself hard.

What he kept repeating was the solid gold truth, obama has been deliberate in these so-called "mistakes."
As usual they found a way to deny that truth and castigate its messenger yet again.
The obama's "mistakes" have been systematic and all harmful to USA and most very helpful to certain foreign nations. And they've been sustained for over 7 years now..
Hardly mere happenstance.
I am not big on Rubio but with it being the truth he repeated I do not see it as a meltdown at all.
The media went with that narrative and made it stick.
To me thats only because its easier to accept that lie than it is to accept the truth about obama's actions being deliberately destructive to this nation(which they are)!--Tyr

Is that what the media is calling it? Maybe I'm in the wrong profession..

Or maybe not. I do have scruples.

I agree Obama knows what he's doing. But Christie rattled the Hell out of Rubio. I didn't listen to what the media said. I surmised that on my own.

I think Obama has goals, but he doesn't know for sure how to get there. His first move should have been immigration. Then he would have had all the Democratic voters the party needed forever.

I take your meaning, but that wasn't the point I was trying to make. My point was that Christie seems to be more focused on making it harder for other Republicans to campaign, than he is focused on helping himself campaign. He damaged Romney's campaign 4 years ago during the Sandy storm, and now he's trying to damage Rubio's campaign. He always hurts the people that are closest to his own views.

I didn't think he did that bad, once he recovered after the first part. He seemed tired. The media has to kick someone and Trump didn't give him a chance to get him on that-though they sure did undercover the p***y comment by both candidate and support of that by audience at rally.

I think that Rubio can recover, but this election so many things are not within normal.

I don't think they uncovered what was being broadcast across the world. :) And while I'm no fan of the word, I kind of agree with him to an extent towards anyone not tough enough on terrorists. I would prefer all options back on the table when dealing with these scumbags. His supporters loving his comment and cheering loudly has no bearing really on anything whatsoever, other than to show that he has a ton of support.

Underreported is what I wrote, as opposed to the unceasing coverage of 'robo Rubio,' which continues.

You expressed my thought about the media better than I did. They are, at the root, in the sensationalism industry. And the public, as aboutime often says, are so easily led.

Aside from that basic root = sensationalism, they are almost 100% political, as in the bag for the Dem party.
Media has now become the very thing that it once guarded against!
Yet still claims its the guard dog!!
It it is , then that guard dog damn sure has rabies......
As the dem party is anti-God, anti-Constitution,anti-justice, pro-abortion,pro-amnesty, pro-illegal immigration,
pro-advancement/protection of our nation's enemies(muslims, etc.).................Tyr

They sure have a different way of Trump coverage than any 'conservative' I've ever seen. I'm of the opinion that they are working for 'exposing' the populist/nationalist thread running through Trump's support. Eventually they will focus on his areas of agreement with Bernie.

That Trump coverage is him manipulating them and not only is it working like a charm but they in their typical lib stupidity can not see that he is doing exactly that.
Or else they can not consciously admit it because that would mean he is by far smarter than they!!!
Any lib is loathe to admit that anybody is smarter than they .
Especially any person opposing some of their core ideas!
Trump treats dealing with them as a business deal, and he is the best in the world at making deals.
Were that not true , he'd not be a billionaire and making mincemeat of the Dems, the Leftists, the Libs and the GOP LEADERSHIP. One should consider the brain that could, can and has been doing that IMHO.
THE OBAMA WON WITH A SLAVISH SYCOPHANT MEDIA, TRUMP WILL WIN BY VIGOROUSLY OPPOSING THAT SAME SOCIALIST MEDIA.
Thus the pendulum that swung so very far left (THANK OBAMA),shall quite likely swing back very far right .
For should it not do so,this nation will fall and fall far faster than even many of us currently seeing this believe IMHO.

THE OBAMA AND SOME FEW TOP MEMBERS IN THE DEM PARTY LIKELY KNOW THE TRUTH OF THIS SIMPLY BECAUSE THE FOREIGN ENTITY IN CHARGE IS LIGHT-YEARS AHEAD OF THEM IN INTELLIGENCE AND LONG RANGE THINKING.-TYR

I disagree on both counts. Christie was trying to win or at least have a solid showing in new Hampshire. It didnt happen, so he dropped out. This wasn't a hit and run. He was running out of money.

As for Romney, if anyone damaged Romney's campaign, it was Romney. And I say this as someone who voted for Romney in the primaries and donated to his campaign. Even have the "R" lapel pin to prove it.
