View Full Version : Juvenile teenage shenanigans

First call I took in my office this morning was from Huntington Beach PD.
Two staunchly conservative families woke up this morning to find Clinton campaign signs in their yards and Sanders stickers on their vehicles. Since the primary suspects are known accomplices of my daughter, I got a call. She wasn't involved because she was home last night. I am not familiar with any of the kids.
My daughter has stated that she knows nothing of the prank or what kids might be involved. Which I would expect. Snitches get stitches.

My question is -- how would you react to the same situation? Obviously you would be forgiving of a harmless juvenile prank.

What does Bush have to do with Clinton and Sanders? Nothing, that's what.

Sticking to the topic, I don't suppose that you personally view defacing another persons property as anything more that a juvenile prank...until it happens to you. Liberal progressive socialists are like that.

Assuming no monetary damage was done such as scratched car paint, I would take it as a joke. REMOVING my stickers or signs is a different matter because it's repression of free speech.

Hmmm....so maybe a burning cross on someone's front lawn is merely a joke as long as no monetary damage is done. I will keep that in mind.

I have to ask.

Gabby, what would you do if a couple of teenagers stuck a Trump bumper sticker on your car? I bet you would NOT view it as a harmless prank!

No, you didn't.

You've been living in Texas for years now, out of Houston. Before that, Dallas.

Your 'daughter' was also posting from a suburb of Houston.

You need professional help, and I'm not being mean. You have some sort of pathological need to lie, and that's not healthy.

Wait a second here ... are you telling me there is no bogey man? That it's all a sham? I AM HEARTBROKEN! I so truly believed that Gabby was what she claimed to be. Next you'll be telling me she is really a man.... Is nothing sacred anymore????

I use a proxy server. It does reveal my exact location. For the sole reason that psychopathic pervs like you might come after my daughter.
I feel sorry for your family. They must suffer having the endure the rants of a sick parent.

I have had signs placed on my lawn and stickers stuck on my car. They are all easily removed.

If anyone around here raves and rants, it's YOU. You're the biggest cheapshot artist on the board. And if your daughter has to endure YOUR political crap, I'd say she probably wishes some perv would take her away.

Yeah, AT&T and Cingular wireless don't do proxies. I suppose you mailed your phone to Houston, Pasadena, Dallas and other outlying areas in Texas so you could get that origin IP?

How does the PD know the suspected accomplices are friends of your daughters, but YOU don't know them??????? Seriously?? How is that possible.

Your daughter knows who they are and I suspect, so do you.

Personally I'd throw the signs away. No big deal.

Stickers on cars however, is classic vandalism. They're extremely hard to get off (unless they're the magnetic ones). I'd sue the families, if there were permanent damage to my car.

NOT a harmless prank.

Thanks, but it's not hard. All staff can pull up IP addresses, and it's a simple matter to see where the poster is posting from. We could narrow it down to her general neighborhood, but I'm not interested in that. A suburb of Houston is close enough.

I build cellphone networks for a living... it's just funny seeing both Tailfins and Gabby trot out their nebulous ideas of Proxy and think that it will fly.

Jim is actually better at tracking down people than I am and has impressed me a few times with it.

The point of this is exposing her for the fraud that she is. Pointless lying and making things up is just stupid and a complete waste of everyone's time.

He's full of crap! I'm not using a proxy, it's my wireless 4G, often while I'm in a restaurant with nothing better to do. More than likely the different IPs are different cell towers. Mentioning DDOS was sarcasm, and PMed to a red letter staff member that is was only a sarcastic remark. I log off in case there's page refreshes or something like that which might eat up my 4G data. If he were truly on the ball, he would see that the different IPs are in a 25 mile radius from each other.

No, now you're back to using a straight connection from Time Warner out of Frisco, Texas, like you normally have done for quite a while now. Except when you were 'stealth' and using google proxy. You hacker!

I guess you're still pissed about getting a digital boot in your ass last week, but that was entirely your fault... don't blame me for your inability to follow the rules. There aren't many of them.

Since you and Gabby share an intense love of trolling, and you don't live that far from each other - may I suggest you two get together and set up a study group? Muzzie Mondays, maybe?

Your first task should be to show Gabby how to connect to your Google proxy - you've demonstrated that you at least know how to do that. But the most important step, after connecting to a proxy, is to continually use it every single time - otherwise, people would know you live out of Frisco. Or Houston.

Don't forget to have Gabby introduce you to the muzzie family across the street in California. That'll be quite a road trip for you both, but I understand they're very nice.

You two will make a cute couple. Don't forget to post pictures!

And yes, you can use a proxy on a laptop with Firefox. I can block my IP from showing, but it slows things down.
Some of you are too old and foolish to know what is going on.

What does AT&T U-Verse mean to you? Yeah, that's your ISP. Not a proxy.

I brought up the cellphone postings to further reinforce that you live in Pasadena, out of Houston. You've posted quite a few times from your cell and it's all logged with every post you've made.

I'd recommend that you stop digging yourself in further, it's embarrassing to watch.

The only stealth is that Debate Policy is NSFW so I'm very careful not to access it over the corporate network or VPN.

I'm interested in the IP addresses because I wonder what kind of footprint I leave when out and about.

You're all wet on the proxy idiocy. The different IP addresses are a result of posting in a variety of public places. I like to take breaks outside the office.

The police department must have been on one of those lunch dates Gabby and her daughter have as they rid the world of wrong. Yes in a city like Los Angeles the police know all the kids and who they hang with. My guess is Gabs got a call from the police department alright. but it went more like, " do y'all want fries with those burgers "

I really shouldn't even bother with you... but I'm in a generous mood this morning.

Your cell is assigned an IP by your provider via DHCP from a pool of available numbers. Your phone will retain this IP until you turn it off or move outside the coverage area, or is renewed by your ISP after a week or so. When you turn it back on or move back into service, your phone will renegotiate and be assigned another IP - which may be the same number, but the odds are that it will be different. That number will only be affected in the last octet; the rest will be the same because they're owned by the provider.

When you were connecting via google proxy, you were doing so from a computer, not a phone. I thought it was amusing to watch you lurk as a guest monitoring your latest feeble attempt at trolling, but whatever turns you on.

What about restaurant Wi-Fis and Cable company hot spots? I don't use Google Proxy. I'm only asking this to get at the full answer.

While it's not personally a big deal for me, your publicly posting people's location and ISP could deter people from joining the message board. Again any "evasiveness" on my part is to make sure that any computer that ever uses the company VPN never connects to DP. The anti-Muslim posts could run afoul of company diversity policies. Why take the chance?

I don't work with IP related tasks. My world deals with straight C# and Java code. I suppose that kind of stuff could help with my debugging tasks some day.

The ISP discussion was to expose a liar when she claimed to be living in CA, combined with a bogus story of a police department calling her.

If she would have done the sensible thing and just confessed to lying about her area, it would have ended there.

Instead, she foolishly doubled down on it.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

That's beyond my pay grade as an occasional poster. I'm just bringing up what jumps off the page. At least the full story of how I connect is known. This serves as a good public reminder. Imagine if you were going to bail a relative out of jail and post to a message board while you wait with someone asking: "Why are you posting from the County Jail?"

I don't think the police should even suspect your daughter's friends. They should just go to the closest Clinton headquarters and talk to the adult volunteers. The skulking around in the darkness sounds like Hillary's standard operating procedure.
