Rubio vows to stay in even if he loses Florida

Even if he loses in his home state of Florida on Tuesday, Sen. Marco Rubio said he will continue on the campaign trail.

“Tomorrow, our plan is to be in Utah campaigning irrespective of tonight," Rubio told Orlando sports talk station WDBO on Tuesday. "It would be a lot better to go to Utah being the winner of the Florida primary. It would give us a tremendous amount of momentum. It would give us 99 delegates, and that’s the way we want to do it tonight.”

Rubio dismissed polls showing him down by double digits to Donald Trump as "crazy," "out of control" and "way out of whack."

"I can't guarantee a win today. I'm telling you I expect to win tonight, but we are not 20 points behind. I mean, that's absurd," he said. "And I think we're going to prove that here in the next few hours."

Rubio's campaign announced his schedule for this week on Saturday, which includes campaign stops in Utah and finance events in California.

Halperin: Trump More Talented At Running For President Than Obama

Bloomberg Politics managing editor Mark Halperin said Tuesday Donald Trump is “one of the two most talented presidential candidates any of us have covered.”

As a panelist on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Tuesday, Halperin said that Barack Obama was a “strong third,” behind Bill Clinton.

Halperin argued that Trump is “one of the two most talented presidential candidates any of us have covered. He just is.”

When asked who the other candidate was, Halperin said, “Bill Clinton.”

A shocked Eugene Robinson replied, “And not Barack Obama? The black guy from Chicago with the name Barack Hussein Obama, who got elected twice?”

Halperin suggested that Obama was a “strong third.”

“Look at what Donald Trump does every day to defy — it just is, in terms of pure political skill,” he argued.

.....

Halperin followed up, arguing that you cannot “overstate how much this is just him.”

Scarborough added, “There is no press operation, because there is no operation. … I got to say, it makes it one of the most remarkable political achievements of our lifetime, what he has done, by himself. It also makes it one of the most dangerous things that we’ve seen in our political lifetime, that somebody could get elected president with absolutely nobody around him because even when you have these giant hulking infrastructures, the transition from being a candidate to being a president is absolute chaos.”
