Making this a separate topic because I would like opinion on this two-option question:

Would conservatives be better off with the Senate confirming Obama's current choice for Supreme Court justice, an older and politically moderate Merrick Garland, or stand their ground and risk Hillary Clinton appointing a younger and more liberal justice if she gets in the White House?

Think so? I know it won't matter to the mindless 'Gimme!' crowd, but it'll finish her political ambitions and force her to withdraw.. Just the taint of being indicted will crater her campaign, nevermind being convicted. And the FBI isn't going to kick out the recommendation unless it's an airtight case - they know DOJ won't do anything with it unless it is.
