I regard him as a tragedy. Prior to him, our generals ran the wars. Since him, we've stalemated or lost every one and always with a Dem President. The only Dem that did anything was JFK in 62. The rest have just screwed everything up.

They were all for it. The Japs were estimated to kill 150 to 200 thousand of our troops should we invade Japan then.
The two bombs killed close to 250,000 Japs with zero losses on our side.
