I have re-watched The Lord of The Rings - Return of The King,

I really love good orchestral scores...especially the strong
brass and percussion.

The best part of the Last of the Mohicans is the score. Well, and the tomahawk fights. :) Yhe novel is boring as Hell and bears little resemblance to the movie. They've even got a Clannad song in it (I Will Find You). Not to mention the scenery at Chimney Rock State Park in NC. One of my favorite movies and I DO have the musical score on CD. (Used to be on cassette.)

My all- time favorite film score was Barber's Adagio For Strings in Platoon. While not an original piece to the movie, it was the most evocative pairing of music and action I've ever heard.

I would have killed Barnes. He reminded me too much of me. Except I knew where to draw the line. He didn't.

I love Viet Nam war movies, but the acting in Platoon was my favorite. Superb all around, and the book was even better.

I got the soundtrack (and the movie). You get a live version of okie from Muskogee you can't get anywhere else :).
