Update: Fox News issued a statement detailing that its chairman and CEO, Roger Ailes, has spoken to Donald Trump over the past three months about appearing on a May 23 Fox Broadcasting special with Megyn Kelly. The results of the meeting, which was requested by Kelly, will be discussed Wednesday night on Fox News' The Kelly File.

Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly met over lunch Wednesday at Trump Tower, andeveryone's buzzing about it (https://twitter.com/search?q=trump%20kelly%20lunch&src=typd).

So what's it all mean that Kelly swung by to talk with Trump, the Republican front-runnerwho feuded with her and Fox News (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/01/27/donald-trump-fox-news-twitter-debate/79401090/) for the better part of the past year?

Well, that's hard to say.

Kelly, whom Trump has called "crazy (https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/711209847702749184?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)" and "highly overrated (https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/711631122036293632?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)," entered Trump Tower at 11 a.m., NBC News reported (https://twitter.com/AymanM/status/720310412328054785), and left about an hour later.

Trump's representatives had no immediate comment for CNN, nor did Kelly's employers at Fox News, which has accused Trump of having an "extreme, sick obsession (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2016/03/19/fox-says-trump-has-sick-obsession-megyn-kelly/82010026/)" with Kelly.

CNN cited an unnamed source who said Kelly initiated the meeting.

Kelly planned to discuss the meeting on her program Wednesday night, reported CNN, raising the possibility that the anchor could have a sit-down interview with Trump in the future.

Trump has feuded with many, many people (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/02/18/donald-trump-pope-francis-feuds/80562210/) (even the Pope (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/02/19/pope-donald-trump-vatican/80622288/)) over the course of his campaign, but few proved as controversial as his spat with Kelly.

The front-runner turned on Kelly after she questioned his controversial remarks about women during a GOP debate, a question Trump found the unfair. He has lambasted Kelly regularly in the months since (https://twitter.com/search?q=megyn%2C%20OR%20kelly%2C%20OR%20megynkell y%20from%3Arealdonaldtrump&src=typd&lang=en) and even skipped a debate (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/01/27/republican-debate-donald-trump-fox-news/79393118/) because she was co-moderating it.
Kelly has scarcely responded, leaving the feud fairly one-sided. "I neither like nor dislike him (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/01/27/republican-debate-donald-trump-fox-news/79393118/)," she said.

Weeks ago, Kelly spoke perhaps presciently to Variety about whether she'd ever interview Trump again.

"To be honest, every time I prepare an invitation to sit down with him, he attacks me on Twitter or elsewhere. I had always been hoping I could reach out to him at a time when he wasn’t angry. I don’t think it would be a good interview if he was angry at me — but then he never stops with the attacks. I was just about to ask him to sit down with me two weeks ago, but then he started up again out of the blue."

So is Trump still angry with Kelly? CNN did the investigative work to find out.

"He has not attacked Kelly via Twitter since April 1," the network reported.

Thing is, and no offense to anyone, but he's been running the whole time on drama. When there's no drama, you don't hear his name. There is no substance to any stance he has. We DO know he understands or at least overuses ad nauseum the words "wonderful" and "incredible". Otherwise, he says nothing. O'Reilly even repeated me last night ... he can't do a damned thing he's promising. And I almost never agree with O'Reilly. But he nailed it to the wall on that one.

And I'm 100% with you on this one. I'm so sick of not being to turn on the TV without Trump's ugly mug running his suck it's pathetic. When I turn on a channel that says it's news, I expect the freakin' news. Not Trump's latest whinefest. If he plans on even attempting to win he needs to grow up and quit acting like this is jr high school.

Trump is the biggest drama queen the lieberals have ever known. And they've known a ton of em. Add to that his ugly, scowly face (a constant in the universe), his hyperbole and hyperventing Trumpy tantrums... and I'm already so sick of the sight and sound of him I may commit hari kari at the thought of him being splayed on the media even more than he is already. I'll have to go completely 'off grid' to survive his ugly puss as the nominee.

I can't stand it and it's a lose/lose deal. If it ain't "Harry the Eagle" Trump, it's Bernie or Hillary or O-blah-blah. Get off my tube. Y'all are talking stupid, petty crap while ISIS is growing.

And now the secret is out. Mr "We Won the War" has Marines in combat in Iraq. Guess it wasn't so "won" after all.

On the verge of being won, definitely stabilized after the surge was finally implemented, Obama pulled out. Now it starts again.

We've all been played, the feud was all planned out. Nothing is real in the media entertainment world. Everyone won in this feud.
