I probably have lost count how many times i've seen women in the sink area of a men's room. There are some bathrooms where, after you pay your 50 cents or 1 Euro, you stand there facing one of two rooms. Both have proper closets - full-length walls and doors - for the toilets and a back room with urinals. Men and women use either - whichever is open.

I've seen Dad's hold their kids off the side of the road so the kid can pee.

So the gender-bathroom thing is pretty silly to me.

EXCEPT. Americans are crazy. Just like the destruction that would happen if the US adopted German traffic laws and regulations - including speed limit policies - (and I suspect the carnage would be worth it eventually), Americans seem more prone to be perverts - maybe it's just the larger sample size?

But that's where the full-size rooms/closets come into play - where the common area is only the sink.

Why don't more american public restrooms have those closets? Because Americans would DESTROY them; have sex in them, do drugs in them, etc, etc, ad nauseam.
