Jim's award post got me thinking about coffee. Granted it doesn't take much to do that as some think I drink coffee as a profession. I generally buy my coffee 10lbs at a time so I don't get nervous about running out.

I have tried different coffee every time I go to a new city to see what folks like but I keep coming back to my favorite.

Peet's Major Dickason's coffee.

What is your favorite brand of coffee?

Long as it ain't no toot-fruity crap, it doesn't matter. I drank my coffee for years out of a little tan packet in a canteen cup. If I got the crap the squids made on the ship I felt entitled.

Keurig coffee cups, which is Green Mountain coffee. I still enjoy a cup of Dunkin Donuts if I'm out around here, but 7-11 coffee when in NJ which is much better, IMO.

No one better say that nasty Starbucks liberal fruitcake latte, better put marshmallows in my drink crap. Stuff is gross and highly overpriced. And the store attracts cockroaches.

Green Mountain "Lake and Lodge" - as long as it's served by a red-headed nymph-ette barrista...:coffee::cool:

7-11 coffee used to be good here but now it just tastes dirty. I have to try Dunkin Donuts coffee at donut shop. I didn't like it brewed at home.

I get Starbucks when we're out because theres a Starbucks on nearly every corner.

I drink my coffee black. I like it bold and strong.

If instant coffee, and I can't be bothered to make coffee any other way, I'll use Tesco Gold instant coffee.

Otherwise .. I've recently rediscovered Gevalia coffee, and I'm using the Tassimo pod type.

Better yet ... I buy coffee from 'Redber.co.uk', and order Kenya Peaberry and Old Brown Java ground coffee .... used in an Aeropress machine ...

Hah. I'd like to see your ass make that fru-fru shit work in the field. THAT would be some entertainment. You know will get you the most money in the field? Powdered Gatorade. If you ever drank out of a plastic canteen you'd know why.

Green mountain, either the breakfast blend or Nantucket blend.

I can drink most any coffee, as long as it's not instant or decaf.

I like Peet's a lot, Dunkin' Donuts too! I don't like canned coffee as much as the premium brands, but did like Kirkland brand when I shopped at Costco.

Best coffee was Brazilian bag brought home from Brazil. Had to grind, but by far and away best ever!

Never understood the point of decaf. And I hate hazelnut. Otherwise I am not picky at all.

What the crap is wrong with you? I'm going to have to reassess your value.

Trust me, and I can't speak for anyone else, but when you got to get up at 0430 and shave out of your helmet, coffee works. You have to be all squared away when the troops get up.

God I hate that time of morning, did it for 3 years. Coke got me through, still grumpy, but at least I was awake

Best coffee I ever had in my entire 69 years, was that First cup my grandmother made on her stove. She bought the coffee at a local ACME, and I got to push the button that GROUND the beans and made everything smell WONDERFUL.

Sitting at the kitchen table. She poured the cup, and I used a Can of CARNATION milk to lighten it, with 2 spoons of sugar....for taste. I think I was only 5 years old. And have never had a cup that good since. Thanks Grandmom!
