I am not posting this to be racist or to sound racist. And no, I also don't explain myself as a result of white guilt. I just think there can be good discussion about this group, and many of the members actions, without having things get racial and offend others. I disagree with this group 100%, but I also believe there are many good people involved with very good reasons and don't mean any harm. But they aren't the ones who got things started, who pull the puppet strings...

American pop singer Beyoncé Knowles brought a radical version of black liberation politics to the national stage during the Super Bowl halftime show in February. Along with a squad of backup dancers sporting Black Panther berets, Beyoncé performed her new song, “Formation.” At one point in the performance, the dancers raised their fists in a black power salute. At another point, they fanned into a giant X, seemingly paying tribute to radical black Muslim activist Malcolm X.

This was during the Super Bowl, the biggest television event of the year. The television network giant abc gave a huge national platform to this message!

It is important that you understand what was really behind that message, and how it is part of an extremely dangerous trend in America today.

Black Panther Party

The Black Panther Party was a black nationalist and revolutionary Marxist organization. It was active in the United States from 1966 to 1982. Its core practice was sending out armed citizen patrols to confront local police officers. Between the autumn of 1967 and the end of 1970, nine police officers were killed and 56 were wounded in altercations with the Black Panthers.

Officer John Frey of the Oakland, California, Police Department was shot to death by Huey P. Newton, the cofounder and self-proclaimed “minister of defense” for the Black Panther Party. After Newton’s arrest, the Black Panther Party’s “minister of justice,” H. Rap Brown, actually praised his actions.

“Huey Newton is our only living revolutionary in this country today,” Brown declared at a “Free Huey” birthday rally on Feb. 17, 1968. “He has paid his dues. How many white folks did you kill today?”

The Black Panther Party became famous for its antipolice chants. Its Oakland chapter was commonly heard shouting, “The Revolution has come; it’s time to pick up the gun. Off the pigs!”

Why would a wealthy American pop singer like Beyoncé want to portray a group like the Black Panthers in a positive light?

Few people are even asking important questions like this. Far too many are absorbed in a fantasy world and do not recognize how serious the problem of race relations in America is becoming.

Black Lives Matter

The Super Bowl halftime show was only one of several moves by Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z to link their names with the Black Lives Matter movement. Jay-Z’s streaming music service, Tidal, donated $1.5 million to Black Lives Matter and other social justice organizations in February.

Beyoncé’s music video for “Formation” contains sequences involving white police officers harassing black youth and includes an image of graffiti that reads, “Stop Shooting Us.” At one point, it shows police officers with their hands up, surrendering to a hooded teenager.

What is Black Lives Matter all about? This movement started in 2012 after George Zimmerman shot and killed African-American teenager Trayvon Martin. On the surface, it can look like a simple racial justice movement. Like Beyoncé, however, many Black Lives Matter activists are resurrecting the violent symbolism and antipolice rhetoric of the Black Panthers!

Alicia Garza, one of the three founding members of Black Lives Matter, candidly cites Assata Shakur as a key influence. Shakur is an African-American activist who was a member of both the Black Panther Party and the Black Liberation Army. After killing a New Jersey state trooper, she fled to Cuba and received political asylum from Fidel Castro. Despite the fact that Shakur is on the fbi’s Most Wanted List, she still receives asylum in Communist Cuba.

President Obama recently opened full diplomatic relations with Cuba—in spite of such abominable crimes continuing to this day!

Still, most of the supine U.S. media and a lot of Americans support the president’s action.

Bible prophecy proclaims that Americans are going to bitterly regret doing so. The end result is going to be diabolical!

“Assata Taught Me How to Fight” is now a common placard seen at Black Lives Matter protests.

Like the Black Panthers, the Black Lives Matter movement is also becoming known for its chants comparing American police officers to pigs. “Pigs in a blanket, fry ‘em like bacon,” is one variation used prominently at a rally in Minnesota last year.

The leaders of this movement are scrutinizing and magnifying the issue of racism among America’s law enforcement officers for evil purposes. They are using it dishonestly to justify some terrifyingly dangerous behavior! They are stirring up emotion and anger—but none of it is intended to solve the problem. They want revolution and war!

Do you recognize how dangerous these trends really are?

People in communities are developing a mistrustful, hostile, antagonistic attitude toward law enforcement. In extreme cases, they are even killing police officers. Meanwhile, police are pulling back from doing their jobs for fear of attack, or losing their jobs or going to prison for doing anything that could be perceived as racist. At the same time, the federal government is undermining local law enforcement and stripping it of power in an effort to centralize policing power on the federal level.

Democratic Party Support

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are good friends with President Barack Obama. The couple threw a fund-raiser for the president in 2012 that raised $4 million. “Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent,” the president said.

President Obama is also a strong supporter of Black Lives Matter. He skipped the funeral of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia on February 20 but made time earlier that week to meet with Black Lives Matter leaders. “They are much better organizers than I was when I was their age, and I am confident that they are going to take America to new heights,” President Obama said of Brittany Packnett, DeRay Mckesson and other activist leaders he met with that day.

Mckesson is an activist recently hired by Yale University to give a two-day lecture on the Black Lives Matter movement. In his lecture, he taught students that looting is a justifiable form of protest!

What is really going on here? Is it OK for some of our top leaders—including the president—to support Black Lives Matter?

Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders have both come out with strong verbal support for the Black Lives Matter movement. During a speech he gave at Liberty University, Senator Sanders even went so far as to claim that America was founded “on racist principles.” Many Black Lives Matter activists would agree with Senator Sanders on this point.

Alicia Garza was paraphrased during a February 18 event at Mizzou University as saying, “The goal of the Constitution was to make an agreement between factions known as states, which were built on the backs of black slaves.” She described constitutionalism as racist, saying: “The people vowing to protect the Constitution are vowing to protect white supremacy and genocide.”

That is a satanic lie! The truth is that America’s Constitution has given more freedom to more people than any other government charter in history! It was the system this document built that allowed the United States to become one of the first societies in history to completely abolish slavery. The U.S. Constitution is a noble document that has inspired and enabled so many to attain accomplishments that any other system anywhere else in the world would have denied them!

These comments from leaders of the Democratic Party and the Black Lives Matter movement amount to a contemptible attack on the U.S. Constitution—the supreme law of the land! Maybe they are only saying such things to get votes. Regardless of the motive, however, such vile statements are stirring up a lot of anger and bitterness against the system of government established by America’s framers.

Attack on the Constitution

Blake Simons, a University of California–Berkeley student and Black Lives Matter activist, wrote a chilling article on November 4 peddling the same lies.

“Our Black Lives Matter protests have stormed the country, yet cops continue to kill us daily, and the judicial system continues to justify our deaths with acquittals, non-indictments and light sentences—all in the name of upholding the Constitution,” he wrote for the Afrikan Black Coalition group.

How is the Constitution even relevant in the discussion about racism within law enforcement?

Maybe, in the minds of these activists, the founders’ determination to keep law enforcement on the local level is the issue. The Founding Fathers wanted to prevent the federal government from having centralized policing authority in order to curb potential abuses of power. Today, activist critics claim that local law enforcement is fundamentally racist, and that the solution is federal intervention. There is no evidence to support this criticism—and no evidence that federal policing would solve anything. It really amounts to a federal power grab!

So what is this activist’s problem with the Constitution? He explained: “I have come to realize that the Constitution is the root of virtually all our problems in America” (emphasis mine throughout).

“In order to understand the injustices against black folks in United States, we must look back to its foundation,” Simons continued. “The U.S. is a country that was founded on slavery, genocide, rape and white male patriarchy. The colonizers that we condemn for enslaving Afrikans [sic] and murdering indigenous peoples are the same people that produced and upheld the document we use to govern our nation to this day. Our bloodshed is rooted in this nation’s founding document, the Constitution. A body cannot be separated from its head and remain living. The Constitution and all the evil that it allows to be perpetuated are the head of White America, or more so corrupt America. Racist America. If you separate the head, the racism will die.”

Where is this kind of thinking leading? This question is especially concerning when you consider the attacks on the Constitution in recent years—along with divisive and racist rhetoric—coming from some of the highest leaders in the land!

The authors of the Constitution, wrote Simons, “owned black people as slaves and participated in calculated genocidal tactics against the black race. … A constitution written by only white men will never serve the interests of black people. The Constitution was written for the ruling class of white men which constructed whiteness to be more valuable than any other race. When we discuss institutional racism, it is essential that we realize the Constitution created it.”

The reality is almost precisely the opposite! It was initially a hypocritical failure to apply the central principles of America’s founding documents that enabled slavery to exist. It was the language of the Declaration of Independence and the legal structures of the Constitution that helped undo the injustices of slavery. Abraham Lincoln begrudgingly tolerated slavery while it was legal in the Southern states, until he was able to invoke Article v of the Constitution to emancipate slaves and make them full citizens of the United States!

Black Panther Constitution

Toward the end of his article, Simons revealed his true agenda in attacking the U.S. Constitution.

He quoted the Declaration of Independence, a document written by some of the same men who authored the Constitution: “Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”

“Do we not have the right to abolish the laws that oppress us?” Simons asked. “It is time to claim the Declaration of Independence and apply it to our struggle as colonized black people in America. The United States has declared war against us; it is time we demand a new constitution or tell America that she will get the bullet.”

This man is not content that the United States is led by an African-American president, and that African-Americans hold so many important leadership positions.

This is the kind of toxic thinking coming from the Black Lives Matter movement that is being endorsed by President Obama. The president promised to bring us together. He has done the exact opposite!

Just what is the president’s agenda? Most people are too deceived or too cowardly to answer that question!

These are the kinds of attitudes and problems that are bringing this country to its death!

Not many other nations are ruled by minority groups—not even in Africa! Does Blake Simons believe he would be better off in any African nation?

He wants to abolish the Constitution and replace it with a new one, an idea developed by the Black Panther Party in 1970: “We must pick up where the Black Panthers left off and declare a new constitution, or it will be the bullet. … If America truly wants to be a nation that values the lives of all people, it has one option, and the option is a national constitution convention. This is the last hope America has to become whole. If America fails to allow all people of this nation to write a new constitution, then it will be the bullet.”

The Black Panthers convened their Revolutionary People’s Constitutional Convention in 1970. At the convention, Huey P. Newton spoke of the need for a socialist revolution.

Now—whatever your race, whether black, white, yellow or any other color—would you really want to live under a Black Panther constitution?

The Black Lives Matter movement, despite its leaders harboring such radical ideas, is rapidly moving from the fringes into mainstream America. To whatever degree this kind of dangerous thinking moves along with it, this nation will suffer for it!

A Strategy for Destruction

During the height of the American civil rights movement, Herbert W. Armstrong wrote from a unique perspective—not white or black, but based on the eternal truths of the Holy Bible. For decades, he warned that the sins of the American people would allow political leaders to come to power who would stir up race hatred as a tool to undermine the rule of law!

Race is a highly charged subject in the United States today, and in many other nations. Past wrongs and present inequalities create fertile ground for hurt, frustration and anger. Many prominent leaders, both black and white, are deliberately fueling those grievances for their own political gain. They are using race as a deadly weapon! The problems that will result are far more dangerous than they realize.

Mr. Armstrong wrote in his March 1969 Plain Truth personal: “Why are our people unable to recognize the Communist line—the Communist plan and conspiracy—in college and university riots, in propaganda accusing ‘police brutality,’ in ‘black power,’ ‘black panther’ and other slogans, even in ‘civil disobedience’ and ‘nonviolent’ movements of protest which lead to violence?” He answered with this shocking truth, “The guiding hand in student revolt is the Communist Party. Many students, their emotions stirred and enraged to violence, do not themselves realize this. Yet, actually, these young leaders of the ‘New Left’ movement are going beyond the Communist Party. Their plan is to stir up college-age students to revolt first, and the teenage high school adolescents. If they can corrupt and/or win over tomorrow’s students, they will gain control.”

The New Left was a powerful political movement that swept through the nation in the 1960s and 1970s. Agitators and educators worked to bring about changes in homosexual rights, abortion, gender roles, drugs and other issues. The movement was closely tied to the hippie movement, and it achieved many of its lawless goals. The New Left was almost identical to the Communist Party.

The champions of the movement had stunning success in working their way into key positions in today’s Democratic Party!

These leaders are still using phrases like “police brutality” and “black power” to further their agenda.

In a 1950s tract titled “And Not a Shot Is Fired,” Czech Communist Party theoretician Jan Kozák wrote about how Communists took over Czechoslovakia through parliamentary maneuvers. The strategy he described required pressure for radical change from two directions simultaneously: from the upper levels of government and from provocateurs in the streets.

The Obama administration is using a similar strategy to fundamentally transform America. The president met with a street provocateur that advocates looting as a form of protest! Liberals in academia and the judiciary have long fought legal battles to undermine the Constitution. Now black activists are threatening to join the fight in the streets—some threatening to use real bullets!

Stirred up by our highest leaders and by pop culture icons like Beyoncé, discontent and protests are spreading across the nation. Riots and acts of racist violence are becoming more common and widespread. Where will this end? What happens in America as major groups of angry, violent people are mobilized? What will you have when the Constitution is destroyed?

The U.S. Constitution has probably brought about more racial justice than any other document in world history, aside from the Bible. The people leading the Black Lives Matter movement are not promoting a plan that will bring about more racial justice. Their plan can only end with the overthrow of our constitutional republic!

Two solid things I see with all of this.

For one, All Lives Should Matter until someone crosses that line at their own risk.

The other was mentioned above and I saw it written in another forum 8 years ago:
Hardcore Democrats and Racists believe that all should be RULED and not LEAD
or GOVERNED. There is nothing in our founding documents saying this Country
and it's components - STATES and Territories - were to be ruled!

The Black Lives Matter movement, despite its leaders harboring such radical ideas, is rapidly moving from the fringes into mainstream America. To whatever degree this kind of dangerous thinking moves along with it, this nation will suffer for it!

A Strategy for Destruction

During the height of the American civil rights movement, Herbert W. Armstrong wrote from a unique perspective—not white or black, but based on the eternal truths of the Holy Bible. For decades, he warned that the sins of the American people would allow political leaders to come to power who would stir up race hatred as a tool to undermine the rule of law!

Race is a highly charged subject in the United States today, and in many other nations. Past wrongs and present inequalities create fertile ground for hurt, frustration and anger. Many prominent leaders, both black and white, are deliberately fueling those grievances for their own political gain. They are using race as a deadly weapon! The problems that will result are far more dangerous than they realize.

Mr. Armstrong wrote in his March 1969 Plain Truth personal: “Why are our people unable to recognize the Communist line—the Communist plan and conspiracy—in college and university riots, in propaganda accusing ‘police brutality,’ in ‘black power,’ ‘black panther’ and other slogans, even in ‘civil disobedience’ and ‘nonviolent’ movements of protest which lead to violence?” He answered with this shocking truth, “The guiding hand in student revolt is the Communist Party. Many students, their emotions stirred and enraged to violence, do not themselves realize this. Yet, actually, these young leaders of the ‘New Left’ movement are going beyond the Communist Party. Their plan is to stir up college-age students to revolt first, and the teenage high school adolescents. If they can corrupt and/or win over tomorrow’s students, they will gain control.”

The New Left was a powerful political movement that swept through the nation in the 1960s and 1970s. Agitators and educators worked to bring about changes in homosexual rights, abortion, gender roles, drugs and other issues. The movement was closely tied to the hippie movement, and it achieved many of its lawless goals. The New Left was almost identical to the Communist Party.

The champions of the movement had stunning success in working their way into key positions in today’s Democratic Party!

These leaders are still using phrases like “police brutality” and “black power” to further their agenda.

In a 1950s tract titled “And Not a Shot Is Fired,” Czech Communist Party theoretician Jan Kozák wrote about how Communists took over Czechoslovakia through parliamentary maneuvers. The strategy he described required pressure for radical change from two directions simultaneously: from the upper levels of government and from provocateurs in the streets.

The Obama administration is using a similar strategy to fundamentally transform America. The president met with a street provocateur that advocates looting as a form of protest! Liberals in academia and the judiciary have long fought legal battles to undermine the Constitution. Now black activists are threatening to join the fight in the streets—some threatening to use real bullets!

Stirred up by our highest leaders and by pop culture icons like Beyoncé, discontent and protests are spreading across the nation. Riots and acts of racist violence are becoming more common and widespread. Where will this end? What happens in America as major groups of angry, violent people are mobilized? What will you have when the Constitution is destroyed?

The U.S. Constitution has probably brought about more racial justice than any other document in world history, aside from the Bible. The people leading the Black Lives Matter movement are not promoting a plan that will bring about more racial justice. Their plan can only end with the overthrow of our constitutional republic!

People were warned about Obama. That church he attended for 20 years with that so called, Reverend Wright wasn't preaching love and peace. It was all about Black Liberation. A lot of us knew Obama was going to use his position to divide us even more by stirring up how we are so UNFAIR as people and a country. He used things that were none of his business, Like the professor Gate stupidity, and went on with Martin, Brown, etc to the point of causing riots, lootings and innocent police officers being executed ...

All this about his church, Wright, was swept under the rug by most of the Lamestream medias (abc,cbs,nbc,) and with cable medias: it was Cnn, Msnbc, etc. that we should consider them to be our Enemy, along with this Progressive party calling themselves Democrats. I don't know where it's going but it feels like things are so close to a civil war and to think YOUR OWN President brought this down on us.

At least make an attempt to debate the data and facts outlined instead of trying to take a cheap way out. For example, in one section of this article they write:

But based on what you quoted - I can only assume that we are to believe that this above quoted paragraph is incorrect, and not factual, and that these killings did not in fact happen, and any altercations with the Black Panthers did not happen?

If they truly believe half the crap they spew why don't they LEAVE? if Black lives really mattered to them they would start cleaning up in their neighborhoods with the help from the police instead of using the police as a scapegoat to start riots and lootings. It is my job to figure out what people are thinking and why. With most groups, you can just contact a representative and ask to meet with one of them.
With BLM, I found a student activist and talked with him. It's not like they all come to me. Some effort is involved.

Have you been to a multi-ethnic urban high school lately? There are some very well-informed kids who are quite involved in various projects. Many have LGBT and BLM organizations.
Even an older white chick like myself is welcome at their meetings. They want to get their word out.

I am guessing that an older, close-minded guy like yourself doesn't want to accept the fact that the world is changing, whether you want it to or not. You can either roll with the changes and keep hiding under your rock.

I see it every day when some dumb ass kid comes to me looking for a job with expectations that were put in their heads by folks like you. They have zero experience and think some crusty old bastard like me is just going to hand them the world on a platter because they happen to be LGBT, black/latino/female. They don't have a single creative thought in their head either. The product schools put out these days is dismal (both high school and college). They are very good at spouting liberal drivel though, so you have done your job well.

This thread is old, but the article in the opening post is relevant to what's going on today. It is worth reading that article again. We are in the middle of a communist revolution involving BLM now, and this article from a few years ago talked about it back then.
