Kind of dead center on my chest bone, thorax or whatever the hell else you want to call it. About an inch and a half below that soft spot where they would cut you for a tracheotomy. I have added a crappy picture below. Anyway, it doesn't move, not that kind of lump. It feels more like "bone", on top of the bone there. Its roundish in nature, about the size of a small bubble gum. It doesn't hurt, but in just the past few days it has had a little bit of a pinch feeling if I touch it, but that couldn't be because I obsess with it all of the time. I read a lot about anything from calcium deposits to worse. YES, I have FINALLY made a doctors appointment, but still nervous waiting until then. Anyone heard of such a thing, or ever had this? You can barely tell in the picture, but trust me, it's there! This is mostly just to show the location without having to describe it.

A very small, beginning Lipoma?

Just too hard to tell. Does it feel fluid and fleshy at all? It could
very well be a fatty cyst.

If you can move it by fingertip pressure it could be a cyst.
If not, it might be a calcium growth. I've had two of those
that went away.

A very small, beginning Lipoma?

Was one on my list - but mine is not moveable, and hard to the touch. And as of recently, starting to have a tad of pain, even if barely measurable.

A lipoma is a benign tumor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benign_tumor) composed of adipose tissue (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adipose_tissue) (body fat). It is the most common benign form of soft tissue (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soft_tissue) tumor.[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipoma#cite_note-1) Lipomas are soft to the touch, usually movable, and are generally painless.

Not at all, feels exactly the same as the bone around it, like a tiny golf ball is slowly making it's way out, and just the very small dome has seen its way so far. It stays exactly in place, even if I wanted to move it I couldn't.

Then it is not a fatty cyst.

I had two of what you are describing...one on a wrist and the other on my ankle. They
dissipated, but on the chest might be a good idea to go ahead and have it checked.

Try hailing Perianne for an opinion.

so, been around any aliens lately? Have weird dreams about being abducted? Does it feel like it might have teeth?

Just messing around...have it checked. I hope it's nothing serious.

I just wonder what he's going to do about that weird bump on top of his neck.

My appointment isn't until the 21st, but I'll be good for 2 weeks I suppose. This is definitely not fatty in any way at all. Hopefully they'll be able to tell easily, but my guess is that they will rip me off for an Xray and then tell me I need to go see someone else for something else in order to know for sure. :(

I'm more worried about the damn prostate exam still. You can stick your finger in my mouth or ear and I won't worry much about that.

Time to be graphic (ladies don't look :laugh2:)

You know what the worst part of the exam is? They use enough KY to fill up the crank case on your car. You're dripping that crap out for the rest of the day. Bend over and say ahhh!:laugh2:

Once you turn 30 in the Corps you're done. Physically with prostate check every 3 years. So I'm looking at the Filipino Lt Commander who is female and she's the doctor. I turn to the Petty Officer at the desk and say what the hell is this? His reply: "So you're saying you'd rather have me find you a guy to stick his finger your ass?" Hoe the HELL am I supposed to win THAT argument? In my mind saying well, looks like I got a date with a female LtCmdr.
