I don't expect this will generate much discussion. Still, it's worth posting this ... just to celebrate the fact that terrorist supporters over here in the UK don't always get their own way.

Cause for some celebration ...

Radical Islamic cleric Anjem Choudary has been found guilty by a British court of supporting the Islamic State group.

Reporting restrictions on a July 28 verdict by London’s Old Bailey court were lifted on Tuesday, which allowed the public to hear about the 49-year-old preacher’s fate. He and a 33-year-old associate, Mizanur Rahman, face up to 10 years in prison for inviting support of a banned organization.

Choudary showed no emotion after a jury of six men and six women found him guilty in late July, the U.K. Telegraph reported Tuesday. Sentencing for the two men will happen sometime in September.

“The evidence now shows that Anjem Choudary is one of the most dangerous men in Britain,” wrote BBC correspondent Dominic Casciani as news of the verdict broke. “Not a bomb-maker. Not a facilitator. But an ideologue, a thinker, who encouraged others not to stop and think for themselves before they turned to violence to implement their shared worldview.”

Interesting that a BBC man should think this, considering the platform they gave Choudary in the past ... !! ....

Angry listeners have today questioned why BBC bosses chose to give hate preacher Anjem Choudary the prime interview slot on the Today programme after two Muslim converts were found guilty of hacking a British solider to death.

The radical Islamist appeared on the corporation's Radio 4 show where he refused to condemn the horrific murder of Lee Rigby on the streets of London, despite repeated calls from presenter John Humphreys to do so.

Muslim converts Michael Adebolajo, 29, and Michael Adebowale, 22, were yesterday convicted of the young soldier’s brutal murder.
The pair were told they face life behind bars and will be sentenced in the new year.

Sir Drummond. Might this be that RAY of light at the end of that long tunnel? For your sake, and the preservation of the U.K. I hope it gives all of you HOPE!

By the way. Perhaps getting the BBC slapped....for a change for their hypocrisy is something to applaud as well???

We certainly need that hope, Aboutime.

As for the BBC - they were the main offenders. But they weren't the only ones ... it turns out that Sky News interviewed him on the night before his conviction !! They've been airing snippets from that interview ever since the news of the conviction came through ....

He should have had true justice delivered in that verdict my friend. They should have shot the bastard mere minutes after the guilty verdict.
They should be deporting every muslim in their tiny little nation.
Small ray of hope this is, but its better than nothing I suppose..-Tyr

Sir Drummond. Just wondering here. Do they still use the TOWER of BIG BEN as a place to provide Solitary Confinement for idiots like Choudary??

(IF NOT.....WHAT A CONCEPT?)

Tyr, my friend, sadly we are supposedly more 'enlightened' than that (it's what generations of being contaminated by Leftieism has done to us over that time).

The death penalty hasn't existed here for generations. Indeed, the UK always refuses to grant extraditions to any nation which does have the death penalty, unless cast-iron guarantees are received to say that the one being extradited cannot be put to death by that nation (.. such as yourselves ..).

Choudary hasn't been sentenced yet, but speculation has it that he'll be in jail for around 10 years. And ... this WORRIES our authorities, because they suspect Choudary might try to radicalise other prisoners.

We will never see mass deportations of Muslims. We're too busy giving them prominent positions ... such as London Mayor ......

I think you're confusing Big Ben with the Tower of London (entirely different buildings, in different locations). The Tower of London was in use hundreds of years ago, as a prison, in the days when royalty still ruled us.

These days the Tower of London is merely a tourist attraction, there as a monument to our more 'barbaric' past ... 'better', it's thought, to give prisoners access to Sky TV and mete out ludicrously lenient sentences.

Might be a ray of light if they hang his sorry butt on London Bridge.
