This is kinda what I've stated a few times. I think the country IS ready for a third party president, they just need the right person at the right time. Trump, like him or not, came at the right time and that's why he's gotten to where he is today, win or lose in November. I think similar needs to happen with a 3rd party candidate. The right person to come in at all the right time and the country will be clamoring for him/her. Only a matter of time now.

Gallup Poll: Most Voters Want Major Third Party
Nearly 60 percent voters believe America needs a third major political party, according to the latest Gallup poll released Thursday.
The result regarding view on need for third-party:
57 percent Agree;
37 percent Disagree.
There is an increase in the views this year as compared to previous presidential election years. In 2008 and 2012, Americans were evenly divided on the need for a third party with 46 and 47 percent respectively saying a third party was needed.
Independents have been the ones who have preferred the idea of having third party the most.
While 73 percent of independents would like to see a major third party, 51 percent of Republicans and 43 percent of Democrats favor such a formation.
The poll, which interviewed 1,020 adults, was conducted between Sept. 7 and 11. It has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
