Morning Consult Poll: 46 Percent Say ‘Widespread Voter Fraud’ Will Take Place on Election Day

The latest Politico/Morning Consult poll finds nearly half of respondents think widespread voter fraud may take place on election day.

Voter intimidation, non-citizens voting, and people fraudulently casting ballots for dead people are all on voters’ minds.

Despite concerns about widespread voting fraud, 68 percent of respondents said the losing candidate should accept the results of the election. Only seven percent of Clinton supporters said the losing candidate should challenge the results, while 24 percent of Trump supporters said the same.

Another Politico/Morning Consult poll found that 41 percent believe the election could be “stolen” from Trump, including 73 percent of Republicans, and 17 percent of Democrats. Sixty percent of respondents said Trump would be right to question the election’s results.

Pollsters questioned 1,395 likely voters and 1,598 registered voters from Oct. 19 to Oct. 20. The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus three percentage points.

Jim. I just heard Limbaugh talking about this stuff a little while ago. QUESTION for Politico Whinners?

IF Hillary, and the Dumbocrats are so sure they are GOING TO WIN BY A LANDSLIDE...WHY ARE THEY WORRIED ABOUT THIS?

Usually, in past elections. PROOF has shown...DEMOCRATS were behind any, and all CHEATING.

Guess they just aren't as confident as they thought they were...PRIVATELY???:salute:

We have always been able to accept the man who became President, even if we hated everything he stood for, because we believed the election was fairly conducted.

Now that this particular rock has been turned over, there really is no going back to our naive ways. I am not saying there will be armed insurrection. But I do think the seeds of unrest have been sown, and if Hillary wins, it will be extremely difficult to respect and follow a government you deem corrupt.

The times they are a changin' all right.

Which side is planting the seeds of political discontent?
If Trump was actually confident about winning the election, would he be so verbose about the possibility of voter fraud? I don't think so.

The Politico site, which I have never looked at before, is actually pretty interesting.
There is this story about Trump's shrinking chances in crucial electoral states:

Also went to the Morning Consult site for the first time. They don't seem to be very confident about Trumps chances, either.

I wouldn't characterize anyone as "planting the seeds". I would say the Dems are causing it. I for one am far from needing Trump or anyone to tell me there is bad stuff going on. For one thing, I have lived in and still live near Philly- it's a way of life there.

Anecdotally, but first-hand: I voted in Philly many years ago. When I went to the polling place, I was directed by a poll worker to read for "guidance" a sample ballot taped right next to the entrance. The sample ballot was an exact reproduction of what you see in the booth, but with every Dem's name checked. A bit more subtle than the Black Panthers intimidation of voters, and bussing people to pols and giving them cigarettes/money, but still rather unethical, imo.

There's been plenty of times the left has accused the right of voter fraud, especially that nutter TDM. On the other hand, remember how the first Obama election had armed folks checking out voters at the front of buildings-the media did cover those events. Charges were filed, DOJ decided not to charge.
