Report: Federal Officials Ignore Evidence About Location of Hillary Clinton’s 33,000 Emails

FBI documents show that Hillary Clinton’s missing 33,000 personal emails were copied and stored in at least four previously unknown extra locations, but federal officials are refusing to search those locations, says Paul Sperry, an investigative journalist and author.

For months now, we’ve been told that Hillary Clinton’s 33,000 missing emails were permanently erased and destroyed beyond recovery. But newly released FBI notes strongly suggest they still exist in several locations — and they could be recovered, if only someone would impanel a grand jury and seize them.

The emails were created during Clinton’s use of a home-built and largely unprotected email system for her personal and government emails, and also for her management of the scandal-wracked, foreign-funded foundation while she was working as Secretary of State.

Clinton insists she’s handed over all of the government emails — which actually belong to the taxpayer — and insists she didn’t break the law by mixing personal and government business or by storing and swapping classified information on her own email network. The hidden 33,000 emails are just emails about her personal life, she says.

Top Democrats have quietly slammed Clinton for her recklessness and ethical short-cuts, but the FBI leadership decided that she should not be charged with crimes in the run-up to the 2016 election.

Since that decision was announced, there’s been growing evidence that the FBI and the Department of Justice handcuffed the FBI investigators and granted favorable treatment to Clinton’s staff.

Now Sperry shows how Justice Department and FBI officials have also declined multiple opportunities to find copies of the missing 33,000 emails that would provide more evidence about whether Clinton was obeying or violating many federal laws:

In a May interview with FBI agents, an executive with the Denver contractor that maintained Clinton’s private server revealed that an underling didn’t bleach-clean all her subpoenaed emails, just ones he stored in a data file he used to transfer the emails from the server to Clinton’s aides, who in turn sorted them for delivery to Congress.

The Platte River Networks executive, whose name was redacted from the interview report, said PRN tech Paul Combetta “created a ‘vehicle’ to transfer email files from the live mailboxes of [Clinton Executive Services Corp.] email accounts [and] then later used BleachBit software to shred the ‘vehicle,’ but the email content still existed in the live email accounts.”

Unless one of Clinton’s aides had the capability to log in to the PRN server as an administrator and remove a mailbox, her archived mailboxes more than likely still reside somewhere in that system. And they may also materialize on an internal “shared drive” that PRN created to control access to the Clinton email accounts among PRN employees. PRN has been under FBI order to preserve all emails and other evidence since the start of its investigation last year.

Clinton’s missing “personal” emails may also be captured on a Google server. According to FBI notes, Combetta “transferred all of the Clinton email content to a personal Google email address he created.” Only the FBI never subpoenaed Google to find out.

The FBI documents also reveal that Hillary’s server was mirrored on a cloud server in Pennsylvania maintained by Datto Inc., a tech firm that performs cloud-to-cloud data protection.

When PRN contracted with Datto, it requested that Hillary’s server be backed up locally and privately. But the techs forgot to order the private node, and they sent the server backup data “remotely to Datto’s secure cloud and not to a local private node.” The FBI never subpoenaed Datto’s server, either.

the level of "carelessness" with gov't data outlined here is kind of horrifying.
the amount of backup data that's seems to be in the wind on various servers is amazing.

In that vain also what about all that data the NSA scopes up from EVERYONE in the US and stores.
since the emails made it onto google servers no less then it's a pretty safe bet that the NSA also scooped it up.
And they also probably got it off of some of the other cloud sources mentioned as well.

Plus think it to should be noted here that again we have leaks that tell us more than any "official" investigation has.
Many people like to dismiss this type of info based on the news source and the lack of MSM repeats and the lack of "official" confirmation.

'someone would have talked' ... 'if this is true then that mean SO many people at the FBI would be involved.' And the FBI's ... Law enforcement's Integrity... is not to be questioned. right. Leo's are 99% good so they wouldn't just let people get away with crimes right?

Well it seems some good cops are talking but the higher ups are determined that Hillary get a pass.
Here again we'll hear some give the excuse, well if she has committed a crime then she would have been prosecuted.
Sad fact is far to many gov't officials and LEOs ...local state and federal... act in corrupt ways from time to time and cover each others arses..

The evidence seems to say that in this case Hillary Clinton's ...probably criminal... actions are being covered up/muffled systematically by a group of people in the FBI and the DOJ in the right places to get it done.

I don't think it's fair to make it partisan.
Seems to me it has more to do with power, contacts, and the generally corrupt establishment.

And Here we Go Former NSA says the NSA DOES have all the emails. and the FBI can get access them

Speaking on Aaron Klein's Sunday radio program (http://www.breitbart.com/jerusalem/2016/07/31/exclusive-nsa-architect-agency-clintons-deleted-emails/), “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio,” broadcast on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and Philadelphia’s NewsTalk 990 AM, Binney raised the possibility that the hack of the Democratic National Committee’s server was done not by Russia but by a disgruntled U.S. intelligence worker concerned about Clinton’s compromise of national security secrets via her personal email use. Binney was an architect of the NSA’s surveillance program. He became a famed whistleblower when he resigned on October 31, 2001, after spending more than 30 years with the agency. He referenced testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee in March 2011 by then-FBI Director Robert S. Mueller in which Meuller spoke of the FBI’s ability to access various secretive databases “to track down known and suspected terrorists.”
“Now what he (Mueller) is talking about is going into the NSA database, which is shown of course in the (Edward) Snowden material released, which shows a direct access into the NSA database by the FBI and the CIA. Which there is no oversight of by the way. So that means that NSA and a number of agencies in the U.S. government also have those emails.”

“So if the FBI really wanted them they can go into that database and get them right now,” he said of Clinton’s emails as well as DNC emails.
Asked point blank if he believed the NSA has copies of “all” of Clinton’s emails, including the deleted correspondence, Binney confirmed.
“Yes,” he responded. “That would be my point. They have them all and the FBI can get them right there.”
Binney then went on to speculate about something even more shocking: that the hack of the DNC could have been coordinated by someone inside the U.S. intelligence community angry over Clinton’s compromise of national security data with her email use....

http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2016/07/nsa-whistleblower-clinton-emails-damaged-u-s-national-security-much-manning-assange-whistleblower.html

FBI director Comey said (http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/07/politics/james-comey-hillary-clinton-david-petraeus/) today that Hillary Clinton running emails containing government information on an unsecured, private server was not as bad as former CIA director Petraeus sharing classified documents with his lover.
But the highest-level NSA whistleblower in history, William Binney – the NSA executive who created the agency’s mass surveillance program for digital information, who served as the senior technical director within the agency, who managed six thousand NSA employees, the 36-year NSA veteran widely regarded as a “legend” within the agency and the NSA’s best-ever analyst and code-breaker, who mapped out the Soviet command-and-control structure before anyone (https://player.vimeo.com/video/146053444) else knew how, and so predicted (https://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/nov/09/a-good-american-review-nsa-whistleblower-william-binney-911-world-trade-centre) Soviet invasions before they happened (“in the 1970s, he decrypted (http://www.aec.at/aeblog/en/2016/03/21/williambinney/) the Soviet Union’s command system, which provided the US and its allies with real-time surveillance of all Soviet troop movements and Russian atomic weapons”) – explains why Comey’s statement is nonsense....

....Binney explained to Washington’s Blog the serious nature of Clinton’s breach of GAMMA classified information:

The compromise of this kind of cryptology success has a number of impacts on the ability of NSA to produce accurate intelligence on foreign targets of highest interest.
(1) This lets the leaders of a foreign country know that their communications have been compromised and thatwe read what they are saying, planning and intending to do.
(2) It compromises the fact that a particular type of encryption is readable. Not just the leadership; but, also all the others in that country and around the world that are using that encryption.
(3) It lets our potential adversaries know our technology capabilities in attacking encryption.
(4) If other countries (like Russia or China or any others) know the encryption system involved, then they too will look at it for any weakness or flaws that would allow reading the system.
(5) It alerts adversaries to look into that system for structural errors in encryption design also look for human error in using the system or a combination of both that would make the system vulnerable.
(6) This presents the country using that system the opportunity to feed false information into the intelligence produced by NSA which means the free world.
(7) For NSA, this means that they have to find other ways to validate any intelligence they get from this encryption to insure the validity of the information they get.
The target country may stop using that encryption for leadership (as was the case with GAMMA GUPY) but may continue to use it at other levels of communication; but, over time, they have been alerted to this weakness and will move as fast as they can to replace it with other encryption.
GAMMA GUPY was the U.S. spy program (http://www.nytimes.com/1985/05/20/us/getting-an-earful-from-soviet-radio-telephones.html) which installed an antenna on the roof of the United States Embassy in Moscow to eavesdrop on top officials of the Soviet Union in Moscow as they chatted with each other on their car telephones. When nationally-syndicated journalist Jack Anderson reported on GAMMA GUPY in 1971, it alerted the Soviet leadership (https://books.google.com/books?id=x_K2rb-OShMC&pg=PA152&lpg=PA152&dq=%22jack+anderson%22+Gamma+gupy%22&source=bl&ots=es9BV4_45D&sig=yZ6lpw-kkD6PnHPdT2XNkrzfTj0&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi9tqqxmOLNAhUE22MKHeWZAG0Q6AEIIDAA#v=on epage&q=%22jack%20anderson%22%20Gamma%20gupy%22&f=false) … so they immediately stopped talking in a way that could be overheard.
Binney continued:

This [Clinton’s email hijinks] is real serious, on the order of what Jack Anderson compromises in 1971 dealing with the “Gamma Gupy” source.
This is the most sensitive intelligence, and [Clinton] and her staff took it out of classified reports and put excerpts in open source on her server.
***

All in all, this is a rather devastating compromise of technical capability and a commensurate loss of high value intelligence.
I know this kind of technical explanation is rather difficult for the public to understand and comprehend, but it is rather devastating to people responsible for intelligence production.
In my view, this is much worse than what Julian Assange or Chelsea Manning or any of the other whistleblowers have done.
Some are in prison for as many as 35 years. Others have just been ruined and kept from getting anything but menial jobs. But, those in high positions get a pass for much worse offenses.
