From Sky News ... an exit poll covering Georgia. Trump 48, Clinton 47. If I heard correctly, they said that the Democrats won it last time around.

Trump up 2% in FL... that's a crucial one.

A good indicator ... I hope. Our people say that Florida, also Pennsylvania, are indeed crucial.

I received an email from the Tea Party people. According to them, there's a report of a voting machine (not sure if it's just the one) which had refused to accept Trump votes in Pennsylvania. Gives credence, possibly (depending on the cause), to Trump's belief that the election is rigged ...

I now see Clinton with a 1-2% point lead in Florida, depending on where you look. I'm afraid as time goes on, and certain districts come in, she will pull away with Florida. :(

It sure as hell helps her!! Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania

Most of the others always go the same way. These states are "toss ups" that can go to either candidate, and then win the election. But IMO, those 5 will be the most important. But I'm not a pro on how the whole thing works, Kath and a few others understand that more than I do. I just know the popular vote, which doesn't determine a winner though.

I've been flipping between stations. ITV; BBC; Sky News; and believe it or not, Al Jazeera .. all are covering this election in great detail.

This gives me very much of a 'deja vu' feeling. Back on 23rd June, we in the UK had our 'Brexit' Referendum. Then, few people really, truly believed that leaving the EU would be the decision our Referendum gave us. The polls said it wouldn't happen. The TV channels agreed.

But, on the night, the pollsters were confounded. The TV channels became more subdued, more soberly attentive, to what was REALLY happening ... as the night drew on. Throughout it all, the voting inched further and further in favour of Brexit. Then, by morning, we knew the true mood of the UK as a whole, and Brexit had been decided upon.

Tonight (it's coming up to 6.30 am, locally, as I type) .. I have the feeling of a US-style rerun of that same experience. As yet, it's just a LITTLE too early to say with certainty that Trump will win, though it definitely looks like it ! And whatever channel I watch (including Al Jazeera) there's the same mood of being confounded by the blast of reality each has been fed a dose of. Trump has done better than anyone really believed he would.

Each station reports the subdued shock that the 'Hillary' camp has experienced tonight. I think I've enjoyed that, most of all.

So anyway, I'm about to catch a couple of hours' sleep !! It may not be a 100% certainty yet .. QUITE .. but I'm hoping, expecting, to wake up to news of a known, established, Trump victory.

And in my own way, when I do, I'll be celebrating .... !!

I'm looking forward - I hope I can, anyway !!! - to coming back on here in a few hours to congratulate you all on your good fortune.

Have a great night, folks !!:salute:

Somehow, I don't think that you're seeing Hillary supporters there !!

All of you who did the right thing and went out to vote for Trump .. you stood up for your country, and saw to it that America's spirit was properly represented. What a brilliant day.

I envy you all. Here's to a brighter future for America !!
