And you KNOW it was formed in a tavern -- Tun Tavern. Wonder how many tankards of ale it took to come up with the numbers.

Only AFTER the meeting, Sergeant Major. Even us jarheads have our sense of decorum. You don't break the chairs before you have to sit in them for 2 hours; otherwise, you stand.

No tat's. They are identifying bodymarks. Besides, I got 2 granddaughters. I got enough crayons to outfit the next war.

Let's not forget that the Marines won the war for this country in the Pacific during World War II. They fought against the toughest of enemies, the Japanese, and prevailed.

Marines have my utmost respect. I will say there were a few Army and Navy guys involved in the Pacific as well....

true dat. There are not too many service members or veterans that I wouldn't go the extra mile to stand by them... exceptions might be the very few that ended up being traitors or served dishonorably ....

Just because I am a peaceful man does not mean I forgot how to create violence and mayhem....LOL... though I may be a bit slower at it than I used to be

I see a fella, usually an older man than me, wearing a hat 'Viet Nam Vet', 'Korea Vet', 'WWII Vet', Marine, etc....
List can be endless.
I walk up and politely extend my hand to him.
