Bannon looks to be a massive guy. Put him on Trump and do not let him get by a mobile or computer. He's tweeting. :coffee:

Trump: I would have won the election even in a popular-vote system

POSTED AT 8:01 PM ON NOVEMBER 15, 2016 BY ALLAHPUNDIT

Don’t ask me why he’s tweeting about this when he has a transition to worry about. Maybe the grumbling about his win being illegitimate, dumb though it is (http://hotair.com/archives/2016/11/13/gallup-23-of-clinton-voters-say-they-wont-accept-trump-as-legitimate-whatever-that-means/), is getting to him.

It’s an interesting question, though. Is he right?

If the election were based on total popular vote I would have campaigned in N.Y. Florida and California and won even bigger and more easily

The Electoral College is actually genius in that it brings all states, including the smaller ones, into play. Campaigning is much different!

</twitterwidget>He hasn’t always felt that way about the electoral college (https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/266038556504494082), but never mind that. He’s got a point (http://hotair.com/archives/2016/11/12/eric-holder-cmon-lets-get-rid-of-the-electoral-college/)about his chances of winning an election that was decided by the popular vote. Assuming that Clinton would have won the popular vote in a system without an electoral college just because she won it in the system we have now is like assuming that the Cubs would have won the World Series if home runs were suddenly worth two runs instead of one. One simple rule change would have triggered a cascade of strategic shifts, large and small, that might have led to a completely different outcome. If Trump had skipped campaigning in New Hampshire in order to spend more time getting out the Republican vote in California and New York, his raw vote totals surely would have been greater than they were this year.

But what about Hillary’s vote totals? Nate Silver sees room for improvement there too:

The pressure and his narcissistic ego will ultimately be what undoes his "administration". I give it till 2018.

Is this the same "mentality" that said Clinton will win?

And the stocks are tumbling?

They were overnight 11/8, thankfully they realized Barack is still in charge and came roaring back.

She was, underestimated the banjo picker and corn cob pipe smoker vote.

And if he never changed his mind on things , you guys would scream to the rooftops how rigid and set in stone this man is and how that is a fatal flaw in the fast moving, fast changing world!
Seems to me that the same people that ignorantly screamed of obama's messiah like perfection are now screaming about Trump's total imperfection.

With libs its all in with their dumbass fantasies or else you are vilified and demonized to to the damn max..

Millions can not wait to see how he leads this nation, so they jump on anything and everything the man says to find fault.
Well hoss, that can easily be done to any man alive!

These dumbass, spoiled losers need to get jobs, show some restraint, learn the value of silence, stop licking each others asses and calm down IMHO.-Tyr

It's not like he changed his mind on favorite color. He changed his mind about the Constitution based on expedience. An example of small mindedness IMO.

I imagine if he'd lost by Electoral College votes, but 'won' by other measures, his view wouldn't have changed.

Indeed. Same with Boxer and others that really don't look to the future and problems with unintended consequences.

Not going to say I'm perfect at doing that, but I have tried to make it part of my decision making process.

Trump needs to act like a guy who had an historic victory against incredible odds. He bested even overwhelming media bias. I'm sure it is difficult when people are even rioting in the streets against you, but he really must find a way.

I don't disagree with this. My thinking though is he should do what he thinks is right, regardless of other considerations. Now he is in the position to act or rather will be in weeks. Meanwhile, there's no reason to create more drama and fights. At this point he's the biggest guy in the room, no reason to bully. He moves freely. He can laugh at the NYT and MSM in general by just doing what he did last night, 'My work day is done, go home.' Then go about his non-work night of dinner with family and friends. Let the media do their drama.

Exactly.

Truth of the matter is, no matter how much it DOES suck when someone wins by more votes then the other person, but still loses - it should be hard for anyone to state that the smaller states shouldn't have representation, equally. And that their lives shouldn't be decided by a few huge cities.

I'm not saying that part of me also doesn't agree. That's twice I saw it now (I think?) and both times in favor of the republicans. But I still think it's weird, but then I read about the electoral college once again and see the fairness in it.

Bob knight hated the 3 point shot. Never wanted it in the game. He won a title using it. Should he give his title up because he didn't believe in 3 point shot.

Apparently a fantasy for some that they think they can keep Trump from assuming office. Even if Boxer's latest bill happened to pass through Congress, it would have to be ratified by 3/4 of the states before becoming an amendment to the Constitution.... yeah, it's not going to happen....

He's widely known for his 3 point scoring drills. So while maybe he won't state as much, I'd say the answer is a definitive yes.

My point is that jackass Michael Moore will make a movie and attack the electoral college and say Trump was even against it, and proves his point even more that Trump should step aside.
