State Department calls on Russia not to deploy complex "Iskander" in Kaliningrad

Mon Nov 21, 2016 | 3:29pm EST

Russia's deployment of its S-400 air missile defense system and ballistic Iskander missile in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad "is destabilizing to European security," the U.S. State Department said on Monday in response to reports citing the head of the defense committee in Russia's upper house of parliament.

"Russia has made threats to move its Iskander missiles to Kaliningrad for the past decade in response to a variety of developments in Europe, none of which demand such a military response," State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters.
"We call on Russia to refrain from words or deeds that are inconsistent with the goal of promoting security and stability," he added.

I read both links. I don't see where you get that Nato is looking at invading Russia. Indeed that article is focused on preventing Russia from invading its neighbors.

An answer wouldn't be too much to expect. Why is Russia Hell bent on reigniting the Cold War?

If you've read both the links you must have noticed that this is the title of the article.
And the displacement additional American troops and missile launching sites next to our borders in Poland and Romania Russia considered as a Threat. (To understand this, remember the causes of the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.) And Russia warned that we'll make the reciprocal steps.
If Europeans agreed to become a target, this is THEIR decision. http://www.kolobok.us/smiles/standart/dntknw.gif

Why indeed ? Russia is hell bent on providing provocations.

By the way ... Abdul Ruff, the author of this piece, has written some 'interesting' articles. For example:

http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/news/editorial/2015/11/17/9623-palestine-why-israel-cannot-become-a-normal-nation.html

One may suspect if Israel - and not USA - controls the world and global as well as regional politics. It is however atrocious that Israel, an illegal entity and state terror organization, has become an important world player, thanks only to US backing.

Today Israel is a nation without any credible legal or moral basis for its existence except that USA is backing it, has stepped into being a criminal state targeting Palestine children, while Israeli leaders are committed to military crimes and blatant lies. And, Jews are made to believe by their rulers that their bluffs are the truth in bits. Lies are essential for colonist nations like Israel-USA twins to justify their illegal occupation and genocides ....

What we have here - VERY obviously - is a Leftie thinker, obviously rabidly anti-semitic and given to any level of disgusting demonsing propaganda in order to get his twisted message across. He's no fan of objective truth, and his bias against the US is patently obvious in itself.

I'd suggest that his output, therefore, is NOT to be taken seriously.

Balu, seriously; is this the best you can do ?? You REALLY need to wean yourself away from the material of sick, agenda-driven, anti-American propagandists !!

Which country divided Europe and MADE ITSELF a threat to others with continued hostilities? Y'all bored or what? Because I got news for you and your propaganda, Ivan, y'all ain't shit. You start up another arms race ands we'll just bankrupt your asses again. Just won't take as long this time.

True!
But more wise to know and remember the History:
The directive of the Joint Defence Planning Committee number 432 / A of 14 December 1945 a plan called «Peancer». In it for the atomic bombing 20 major cities and industrial centers of the USSR have been identified, which are expected to lose 196 atomic bombs.
In 1946, during the Iranian crisis headquarters of US General Dwight Eisenhower (later US President) was a plan «Totality», which provided relief of 20-30 atomic bombs on 20 Soviet cities: Moscow, Gorki, Kuibyshev, Sverdlovsk , Novosibirsk, Omsk, Saratov, Kazan, Leningrad, Baku, Tashkent, Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Tagil, Magnitogorsk, Molotov, Tbilisi, Stalinsk (Novokuznetsk), Grozny, Irkutsk and Yaroslavl etc.
May 1, 1960 over Sverdlovsk was shot down by S-75 a spy plane U-2 piloted by Francis Gary Powers. The next day in our flat my father and his colleges celebrated this event as they designed that very AA missile and it had worked fine.

Even if we believe this stuff (and I'm reminded how fond you are of propagandising, evidently in an anti-American way) ... consider. The age you're considering was many decades ago. Political realities, then, were VERY different, and politicians' motivations were governed by those realities.

Has it occurred to you that America, at that time, considered Russia to be a belligerent nation ? Has it occurred to you that the Warsaw Pact PROVED THEM RIGHT ... as did their takeover, for example, of East Germany, and the building of the Berlin Wall ?

Has it occurred to you that the Cuban Missile Crisis, OF RUSSIA'S MAKING, brought us to within minutes of THE EXTINCTION OF THE HUMAN RACE ?

BALU .. surely, by now, Russia has had ample reason to, finally, understand that its belligerence on the world stage HAS to stop ?

Because if this still isn't understood ... I balk at the aggressive and myopic psychology which, despite history's many lessons, STILL wants to empire-build, and STILL push its confrontational propaganda on us all.

I'm wasting my time with you, Balu, aren't I ? Tell me that I'm not. Go on. Make my day. TRY.

Sir Drummond. Just a reminder, if I may. But Balu is finally proving what most of us learned when we were in school, growing up...about how far BEHIND the people of Russia really are.
It's entirely possible that Balu, and his friends are...at last...finally learning about the World, and their own History for the first time. So, talking politically about WWII as he does...just might be as far as his education has grown? Perhaps the Communist prevention of knowledge to the people is far behind the rest of the modern world.?

Just a thought.

... and a very interesting one, Aboutime.

I'd simply say, though, that Balu and people like him need, also, to be WILLING to learn truth. That's maybe the biggest problem. I strongly suspect that Balu has a totally closed mind ... because those who've fed him their propaganda have done so with considerable skill.

Hopefully Balu will prove me wrong. We'll see, in the fullness of time.

"We call on Russia to refrain from words or deeds that are inconsistent with the goal of promoting security and stability," he added.

ruslanbag43. You sound like Balu. Both of you need to catch up with the History leading up to the 21st century.

In answer to your question. YOU only need to look toward your IDOL Putin, a sometimes described FORMER member of the KGB...but we all know, he's a lifelong member.
Putin wants to REBUILD the former U.S.S.R. Empire of Stalin, and Lennon.
If you are so blind, and uninformed to recognize that. You need to do some studying, and VERY SOON.
