I was reading a series of articles detailing the series of recent conversations between Trump and Obama. It seems that the two have discussed everything from political appointments to world affairs.
Obama has been drawing a lot of heat from his own party for his frequent talks with Trump. Some Dems view it as "helping the enemy." Obama has said he is "no longer willing to play politics" and wants to help Trump as much as possible.
Some of Trump's advisors have also been upset about the President-elect listening more to Obama than them. I doubt he cares.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/07/politics/trump-obama-appointments/ Trump is a business man, one of the primary reasons I voted for him, he didn't get where he is today without listening to people and taking their advice seriously. I realize that most see him as an egomaniac, but this is the same man who (during his TV show) admitted that he was wrong when discussing hiring based on having, or not having, a degree. I would hope that Obama wants Trump to do well, obviously we, as a country, want to succeed and whether or not he personally likes Trump that should be the end goal.
