Why Is Liberalism A Cult?
Liberalism is a dangerous cult. The anti-Bible concept of “human goodness” lies at the root of many cults. Jesus said, “There is none good but God.” Liberalism is founded on the supposed natural goodness of humans, which is a false supposition and an attempt to do away with the need for Jesus.
Liberalism can be known by its fruits. There is risk of confusion of terms, but in practice, Liberalism supports:
abortion / assisted suicide / killing the weak and sick
godlessness / idolatry
promiscuity / fornication / perversion / unequal laws favoring engaging in perversion
drugs
envy / covetousness / communism / socialism / welfare
big totalitarian government utopian promises

exalting the human mind and rationalized speculation
self-righteousness / judgmental attitude / false accusation
aggression against Christians and Jews
aggression to advance liberalism
any tactic (and there are many) that advances liberalism.

national defense for free nations
law enforcement for free nations
free enterprise
anything (such as conservatism) that slows the advance of liberalism.
The more consistently a person follows the tenets listed above, the more liberal that person is said to be. The more a person fulfills the problems mentioned in Romans 1, the more liberal that person is said to be. There are other definitions of the word, liberalism, but this is the most common definition in general use.
The meaning of the word, conservatism, has been changed to mean: anyone who opposes the liberal characteristics listed above. And, liberals have defined three levels of conservatives, receiving increasing levels of liberal hate as you go from "conservative" to "ultra-conservative" and finally to the most hated "ultra-conservative Christian."
What is a cult?
Liberalism is based on the human goodness cult. There is a theory founded on the natural goodness of humans. That theory, which says that natural goodness or righteousness comes from self, could be stated as self-righteousness. According to Webster's Dictionary, the other word or label for this theory is "liberalism." Natural human goodness, the basis of liberalism, were it to actually exist, would eliminate the need for our Savior, Jesus Christ. As Jesus told the Scribes and Pharisees, because they think they have no need, they are still in their sins. Many consider liberalism to be part of the New Age religion.
The government becomes the totalitarian “church” of Liberalism. Every effort is put into creating a situation where Biblical Christianity is not allowed to have any influence in government and the cultic religion of Liberalism has all control of government. Every effort is put into increasing the control of government and using governmental power to eliminate Biblical Christianity, even to the point of taking over authority of parents over their own children.
The Secular Television networks, Secular schools, Secular scientific journals, Secular music industry, Secular news industry, Secular entertainment industry, Secular print media, and Secular radio all are overwhelmingly controlled by Secularists, including Liberalism. Every form of entertainment and information is used as a carrier to indoctrinate into Liberalism. And they are also used to demean, marginalize, condemn, denigrate, and belittle Biblical Christianity.
This is not to say that God doesn't impart any goodness at all to human beings. God created humanity and put a conscience in every person. The Bible is clear on that. The conscience gets seared, becomes evil, becomes insensitive to God, but God put a perfectly good conscience in every person. That’s part of why no one will have an excuse in judgment. The trouble is that it’s impossible for the natural human being, the unregenerate man or woman, to obey that conscience completely. It is true that the Bible says that some have become a law unto themselves and some have tried to follow the actual law of God, the ten commandments and the levitical law, that is the law gave by God to Moses. Had they been able to fulfill it, it would have been wonderful, but humanity cannot do it. We are sold into sin by inheritance, and that will continue until our bodies are redeemed. So, every time anyone tries, in their own effort, to obey their conscience, there is something there to taint it.
Because of the conscience, some people are able to silently, not in self-pride or self-righteousness but simply out of love, help in times of need. They perhaps have not yet totally seared their consciences. It’s like that when a tsunami or hurricane strikes, and even unsaved people come in to help. Many do it for political gain or self pride, however. After Hurricane Katrina, they surveyed the people who had been helped as to where the help came from. It was the Churches 10 to 1 over every other source of help—including the government and the non-profits.
Without the power of the Holy Spirit, though, good works are like good, clean water mixed with sewage. There is always something that is wrong with it. As the Bible says, "Our righteous acts are filthy rags." Even at our best, we are pouring out filthy water, we are dumping filthy rags on those around us. Only the Holy Spirit within us is able to do good. And the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. There is no power for good without Jesus. As He said, "Without Me you can do nothing."
The Cult, Liberalism
Liberalism crosses political parties and national boundaries. It can be found in most churches to some degree. It is the natural tendency of the human to attempt to show its own supposed goodness. The old Adam in each of us is a liberal. The natural mind is a liberal.
It has been falsely stated that liberalism is a philosophy where anything goes and that accepts any idea as valid. The reality is that everyone has very definite ideas about what they feel is right and what they feel is wrong. Some liberals even hold a belief that it is right to believe that there is no right or wrong and it is wrong to believe that there is a right and wrong . . . if you can follow the inconsistency of that belief system. And they are eager to force this odd bit of reasoning on the rest of us. Weird!
Many people, liberal or not, are willing to try to coerce others into conformance to their personal belief system. Note the great liberal effort to push such ideas as liberal attitudes toward morality, political correctness, bogus science, bogus history, promiscuity, and perversion on the rest of society. They have had great success in most countries in using tax-supported schools to indoctrinate the young in these ideas. What would happen if Christians were as dedicated to what they believe? Too many Christians try to hide what they believe. Too many Christians cave in to coercion.
There is a theory founded on the natural goodness of humans. This kind of self-righteousness or belief in the natural goodness of humans is more of a religious theory although some think of it as a political theory. It may affect the political, and in most cases it looks to political power because it doesn't honor the power of God. However, this theory, though political, will surely affect the spiritual. Webster's Dictionary will show us that this theory is called, "Liberalism."

The type of liberalism that professes natural human goodness is a cult.
There are at least two types of liberalism, and this can lead to misunderstanding. One type is self-righteous and the other is humble. One seeks to take money from one group and give it to another group for political power. The other takes money out of his or her own pocket and secretly gives it to those in need. SeekFind.net uses the word, liberal, to mean the self-righteous type of liberal because this is the most common modern usage of the term. Liberalism makes Godliness seem trite or silly. Liberalism makes sin seem normal and righteousness seem strange or bazaar.
Some tenets of liberalism:

Do as thou wilt. Ability to change tenets at any time. Ability to pick one’s own tenets from among many liberal tenets.
Feeling that every person has his or her own reality. Believing in relativism: moral, spiritual, or physical. Feeling that, "My opinion is just as valid as yours." Thinking that all things are relative. Minds closed to the concept of real truth. Believing that there is no such thing as a lie. Believing that there is no right or wrong, no winners or losers.
Trying to convince themselves that there is no real almighty God.
The god of forces, or many gods, or all is god, or no one can know God, or no God.
Ability to hold two or more mutually exclusive tenets to be true at the same time. Compartmentalization of areas of thought to allow for conflicting and chaotic thought processes.
Believing that the government can solve all problems, or believing in socialism in some form and ignoring the violent history of socialism and human "utopia."
Ignoring the violent history of rationalized speculation.
Use of covetousness to rally support.
Desire to give the money of one group of people to a second group of people in order to gain the support of the second group of people.
Drugs and alcohol abuse.
All types of sexual activity outside of marriage between one man and one woman.
Strong emphasis on materialism.
Belief in rationalized speculation as the source for knowledge and wisdom.
New Age religions are promoted.
Biblical Christianity is not tolerated. Minds closed to the revelation in the Bible.
Minds closed to the authority of God.
Minds closed to the atoning work of Christ or even the knowledge that they need a Savior.
Minds closed to the righteousness that is only available in Christ.
Minds closed to God’s ability to reveal Himself to each person.
Minds closed to the Holy Spirit.
Minds closed to the gifts of the Spirit that are only available through Christ.
Minds closed to Biblical Family order and Biblical Church order.
Adding to or taking from the Bible to make it acceptable.
Acceptance of pseudo-science based on rationalized speculation.
Abortion and Euthanasia.
Tendency to speak of passivism while endorsing violence.
Requiring no internal consistency from self or from liberal gurus.
Of course, all of this runs into problems with the Bible, so liberals, in general, try to imply that they can add to or eliminate parts of the Bible. A favorite tactic is to try to say that there are errors in the Bible.
The liberal mind-set is always looking to over turn God's law by any means. One method that they use is simply to be offended. They are easily offended about nothing at all. And they feel that they can be as offensive as a human being could be, but no one should say anything about that.
Liberalism is a smorgasbord dogma, though. That means that some liberals may both believe in “the natural goodness of humans” and also do not believe in “the natural goodness of humans.” Some may even not believe in the prime directive of liberalism (human goodness) at all. They may have been brought into the fold by some other route such as through being seduced into the welfare mentality by looking for some government freebie. They may have been brought in through being brainwashed by the news media, entertainment media, or public education systems.
Inconsistency is no problem under liberalism. Just chalk it up to another "proof" for the chaos theory. Under the rules of liberalism, there is nothing odd about believing that, "I'm a good person," or "most people are basically good," and believing that Jesus was sent to Earth to absolve mankind of its sins. Liberalism can even adopt the anti-biblical, scientifically inconsistent and illogical notion of theistic evolution and think they believe in science. There are at least two types of liberalism, and this page deals with the worldly type, the same type that you hear about on the news. The other type of liberal is seldom referred to by the term, liberal, any more.
Also, you should know that conservatism is not really the opposite of liberalism, but they changed the meaning of that term too.
Conservatism really means to conserve, to keep things the same. But now, the word, conservatism, is used to describe anyone who opposes the list of liberal characteristics.
And you should know that many liberals and conservatives just don't fit the mold.
Liberal: Left Wing

Using the dictionary definition of Liberalism, can give some insight into the twenty-first century use of the word, liberal:
It is the delusion of human goodness that is the root of the great separation between liberalism and the followers of Jesus Christ. Liberalism cannot be reconciled to Christ because it is anti-Christ. The reality is that, even when humanity is at its best, the fallen creature is still in the clutches of the evil one. The only real victory is through Jesus Christ.
Liberalism, in most cases, is marked by a supposed righteousness emanating from the self. This is the true and only self-righteousness, and it is a false righteousness. The only real righteousness that can be attained is available through Jesus Christ. It is God's free gift to whomsoever will accept it.
If we are good, then we don’t need Jesus.
If we are good, then we can do good without Jesus.
Jesus said, “Without Me, you can do nothing.”
If we were to claim to be good, then we would be calling Jesus a liar.
How does a liberal attain such self-righteousness?
Lower the bar. God’s law reminds liberals of their need for Christ, so they don't want any reference to God's Law. This is a major thrust that includes Message Control to encourage the following and more: adultery, fornication, perversion, pornography, drug addiction, entertainment addiction, envy, malice, idolatry, covetousness, stealing, disrespect to parents and authority, and destruction of the Biblical pattern for the home. Along with this goes all the legal maneuvering to eliminate the Ten Commandments from classrooms and public buildings. This is one reason that liberals don't think that the Bible is the inspired Word of God without error. The Bible destroys their self-righteousness and asks them to receive God's righteousness. The trouble is that they love sin more than they love God.
Change the bar. They make up their own morality to suit those things that they want to do. In effect, they define morality and righteousness to mean whatever they are doing.
Eliminate the bar. Some say that everyone should do whatever they want to do.
Make false claims of righteousness, including public relations and doing “works” just so that they can be seen.
Deny reality by not acknowledging their own sinful natures. They proclaim their own goodness in spite of what they really know. All have fallen short. Liberalism once meant the quality of reaching into one's own pocket to help the less fortunate. Now, liberalism steals from one group of people and gives the ill-gotten gain to another group of people in order to gain political power. The meanings of "liberal" and "Liberalism" have changed. Since the word, liberal, is often used in a very deceiving way as it is applied by the media, a more accurate term might be, "New Age Liberal," since many of the so-called liberal people fit the description of one New Age group or another. A definition of New Age can be found here. Here are some of the other characteristics of Liberalism that are related to the central theme, the claim of human goodness. Once again, we must keep in mind that liberalism is a smorgasbord from which liberals pick only those precepts to which they personally want to subscribe. And some people consider themselves liberal simply because they are a captive of the liberal social system, that is, they are getting benefits from the Government and become dependent on the liberals.
Liberal political correctness is simply an attempt to throw off the rule of God and to establish a new human-generated law. The purpose is just to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals by lowering the bar, changing the bar, or eliminating the bar. The liberal simply looks at what he or she wants to do and finds a way to rationalize a supposition that the very thing that he or she wants to do is, in the liberal's fantasy world, the definition of righteousness.
Relativism is simply a means by which liberals can cope with the fact that their political ideas, pseudo-scientific ideas, and immoral morality are contrary to common sense and observation. It is becoming ever more common to hear liberals say that each person must find his or her own truth. If this were true, then there would be no Truth and so it would be OK to lie. If there were no fundamental absolutes as relativists claim, then life would be about winning or losing. That would be shallow and dangerous thinking. The purpose of relativism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals. Since there is no right or wrong, they must be good people?
Socialism and all the social programs are simply attempts to make the Kingdom of God without King Jesus, but with king human. These social programs also have another benefit for liberals: They create dependencies. People who become dependent on the government are merely slaves to the liberals. Only two economic systems exist, Free Enterprise and Socialism. Free Enterprise is considered right wing. Socialism is considered left wing. Liberals favor socialism. Conservatives favor Free Enterprise (although, some dictionaries say that liberalism favors free enterprise--but this isn't the case). Socialism is an economic system based on envy. Free Enterprise allows for ambition and hard work with safe-guards against stealing and fraud. The purpose of Socialism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals. Liberals are so compassionate that they will steal money from one person and give it to another person. Some of them even bring in religion as if Christ had said that they should go out and use the government to coerce the unbelievers into helping the poor.
Communism is simply an attempt to make the Kingdom of God without King Jesus, but with king human. The purpose of Communism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals. Liberals are so compassionate that they will steal money from one person and give it to another person.
Evolutionism is simply an unscientific wish that there were no God and no judgment and no need for obedience to God. The purpose of volutionism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals. Since they refuse to acknowledge God, they can continue to sin and pretend that they see nothing wrong with it.
Intellectualism when it is defined as the notion that the human mind, rather than God, is the source of all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. The purpose of Intellectualism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals and to give glory to human beings.
Judicial Activism is simply a way to set up dictators. It is a way to set up a totalitarian government without waiting for re-training and brainwashing of generations of children through the corrupt liberal "education," "news," "entertainment," and "literature" message control systems. The liberals have found a way to change the constitution and to put control of the government into the hands of a few liberal Federal judges. The method is to put these judges into position and to filibuster the appointment of any judges who will not be liberal activist judges. The judges then declare from the bench that the law and the constitution does not mean what the elected officials wrote, but the law means what the liberals want it to mean. That is what activism is. It is the reconstruction of the law into something that was never written into the law. A prime example is the interpretation of separation of Church and State, which is not in the Constitution. Now, the activists have interpreted the U.S. Constitution to mean the opposite of the protection for the Church that is actually written into the Constitution. Rather than protecting the Church from the State as originally written, they have reconstructed it to say that the State must be protected from Christians. Another example is the rewriting or what the Constitution says and citing the current disgusting moral state of Europe as the pattern which overrides the Constitution. The purpose of judicial activism is to give power to the liberals.
Message Control is simply a way to brainwash adults and children alike through tight control of the messages being put out through the corrupt liberal "education," "news," "entertainment," and "literature" communication systems. The purpose of message control is to give power to liberals and to keep anyone from disproving the self-righteousness of the liberals.
Mocking and Name Calling are simply methods of message control through coercion. Christians are regularly called, "stupid," "dumb," "flat earthers," and the like. Now, some conservatives are returning fire, but Christians (or conservatives) cannot win this type of game. Never wrestle with a pig. Biblical error claims, claims that there must be some error in the Bible, are simply the desperate fantasies of those who hate what God commands in the Bible and would like to imply that their human minds hold authority that is equal to that of the Bible. The Bible tells us all that only God is good, that we are evil by nature, that God has provided only one way by which we must be saved and that way is Jesus Christ. Liberals cannot stand that prospect and are desperate to find some way to keep themselves from facing the facts. The purpose of a biblical error claim is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals, because the Bible tells them they are wicked.
Excessive Spending does several things. It ruins the economy. Liberals of all parties spend like crazy, then blam everyone else using the liberal press to get the message out. If the economy folds completely, then it can be replaced with a socialist economy like all the totalitarian states. In the mean time, high taxes are needed because the liberalism is hoping to create a utopia. It's very expensive to create utopia, you know.
Big Government is the method of bringing everyone into slavery. Government programs help to make people dependent and dependent people are slaves. Those who can't be made slaves in this way can be coerced into subservience through coercion. Liberals need big government to have the power to coerce. Many other liberal issues are actually just ways to increase control. Here is a partial list: socialization rather than privatization, appointment of only liberal judicial activists who legislate from the bench, gun control, crushing taxation, extension of U.N. control, programs that hurt the economy or that cause dependencies on the Government, brainwashing of children into evolutionism, secular humanism, immorality, and other liberal tenets while assuring illiteracy.
The push for more government taxes regulations on businesses and individuals are ways of gaining more control. Unnecessary controls and taxes raise prices, destroy the economy and destroy the job market. Once the economy starts to fail, it creates an opportunity for more regulations plus subsidies. Extreme environmental laws, not based in science, accomplish the same liberal goal, plus the environmentalists are often able to get the political support of the ignorant. The desire to make it easy to bring nuisance lawsuits also hurts the economy. As Ronald Reagan defined it, “If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it.” This is the road to totalitarianism.
Government financial support of humanistic non-profit organizations puts money in the pockets of major liberal campaign contributors. Efforts to make it easy to bring nuisance lawsuits also put money in the pockets of major campaign contributors. The purpose of the money flow is to bring power to the liberals.
Manipulation of the election process is simply a way of forcing the will of liberals on the public. The methods include pushing for policies that make voter fraud easy. Liberals also push for laws that favor liberal campaign contributors: pornographers, abortionists, strip clubs, Hollywood, homosexuals, special interest groups, and similar groups. There are constant attempts to create regulations so that only liberals can influence elections or muzzle the Christian voice and regulate the free speech of Churches. In addition, we have seen increasing liberal violence and hatred against political opponents. The purpose of election fraud is to bring power to the liberals.
Extreme religious zeal for politics are simply the result of the fact that the liberal mindset leaves the liberals with no purpose in life, so they make up a purpose. Unfortunately, that purpose is reprobate politics that goes against every one of God's laws. The purpose of political activism is to bring power to the liberals.
Liberal Christians are simply Christians who are not evangelical. They are not evangelical even though their organizations may label themselves as evangelical and Christian. The fact is that the labels are simply a way to lure the unwary.
Liberal Peace movements and rhetoric are filled with violence against anyone who dares to disagree.
Favoring civil and political liberties? False! Liberalism favors those liberties that are anti-Christ, anti-God, or anti-Christian. It favors those with the liberal viewpoint. Liberals definitely do not favor civil and political liberties for Christians. The group of liberal lawyers that say they are in favor of civil liberties is a prime example of this. This group of lawyers has fought against the truth of creation and for teaching the religion of evolution. It has consistently taken a stand against the morality of the Bible and for every ungodly precept. Liberals are intent on limiting the free speech in Churches. The list of examples could go on.
Favoring the autonomy of the individual? Untrue. This is one of the main misconceptions of liberalism. In fact, liberals do everything to enslave the individual. They enslave many through Government programs that give out benefits or money, converting the Government into a Secular Humanist church and creating dependencies in millions of individuals. Liberals enslave others through high taxes, restrictive regulations, and limits on freedom of expression.
Government by law with the consent of the governed? This clearly is one more misunderstanding of the way that liberalism works. Liberalism limits the freedom of the majority to cater to the minority, which is the opposite of law with the consent of the governed. It does this mainly for political power. There was a time when liberalism thought that popular opinion would give them what they wanted. Now, who are the liberals afraid of? You, the voter. They want the courts to act as despot, as dictator. They can't stand true freedom of choice. They support anti-God, Communist dictators.
Protection from arbitrary authority? This is another misconception of liberalism. Liberalism is the largest source of arbitrary authority. Liberalism loves laws on top of laws and regulation on top of regulation. They think that, if they can find the right combination, they can make everything perfect. Sorry. The coming peaceful government that will bring holiness and joy is called the Kingdom of God. It will take place in the way the Bible says that it will take place. All the arbitrary authority that the liberals want to usurp, mostly through an oligarchy of judges, will not bring what they desire. It will, rather, destroy them.
An economic theory in favor of laissez-faire, the free market? That is a joke. Liberals stand firmly against free enterprise and for socialism. Conservatism tends to favor laissez-fair economic policies and the free market. Liberalism opposes this. It's interesting how the meanings of words change.
Showing or characterized by broad-mindedness? This definition has no basis in reality if we are talking about 21st Century liberalism. Liberals are open to liberal ideas only. Liberals are not open to fundamentalism, for instance. True liberals are not tolerant of Christian ideas and the Biblical world view.
Having political or social views favoring reform and progress? Not really. They don't want to reform a corrupt voting process that encourages cheating at the polls. They don't want to progress toward Biblical righteousness and a closer walk with God. They want to maintain their message control system. They want to progress toward any laws or restrictions that would help liberals to be more liberal.
Tolerant of change? Not if the change is toward righteousness. Not the change toward open sharing of all sides of an issue in public schools and universities. Not the change to stop discriminating against Christians in Government and privately financed media. Only if the change is toward liberalism. They are desperate to change the world into a world that only follows liberalism. They are frantic to change the world to eliminate Jesus Christ.
Giving freely? Not in the sense Jesus spoke of: "Let not your left hand know what your right hand is doing." There is some giving, usually with great fan fare and publicity, which is really just good business PR. There is some giving that is for the purpose of a liberal showing that he or she is a good person. This is not the same as giving freely. In fact, the large majority of liberal giving is the act of robbing Peter to pay Paul in hopes of getting political power in the form of Paul's vote. Some have crept into the Church and have twisted the Scripture, saying that the Church has the responsibility to use the government to coerce unbelievers into giving money, in the form of taxes, to help the poor and many other "causes." Real giving involves reaching into one's own pocket and not even allowing one's own ego to notice. "Let not your left hand know what your right hand is doing." The Bible rightly says, in many place and in many ways, that there is not a just man upon the earth. It says, very clearly, that we need Jesus. It says, very clearly, that by receiving Jesus we may receive forgiveness and also we may receive real righteousness. This is not the righteousness of the human, which would be hypocrisy, but it in the righteousness of the holy Christ living and working in the one who has received Christ.
This one point is the focal point of all of history. This one point is the reason that the United States is divided. This one point is Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
This is the reason that secular humanists, agnostics, and atheists have risen up, from time to time, against Christians.
This is the reason that some Hindu people, some Moslem people, and some from other New Age religions have risen up, from time to time, against Christians.
This is the reason that liberal Christians have risen up, from time to time, against Christians.
The members of the elitist liberal class consider themselves to be above the other members of society. These are the self-righteous. They are the true hypocrites in the sense that Jesus used the word, hypocrite. They consider themselves to be "intellectuals" and love to think of themselves as the elite and good people, but they have lost the ability to reason. Unfortunately, the liberals have gotten the U.S. Government to embrace Naturalism and Materialism (which are simply dogmas that are taken on human faith) as State supported dogmas, since these are increasingly being supported by our courts.

Interestingly, the website, Wikipedia, states that liberalism is not a cult on an archived page that no one is allowed to edit. Wikipedia is controlled by those who are most persistent and willing to wrestle. It is not controlled by truth. The liberal writer in Wikipedia gives no reason for this claim but simply states that Wikipedia does not take seriously the idea that liberalism is a cult while asserting that Wikipedia, in a "straightforward and scholarly way gives information and doesn't dally with sleaze." I guess that by reason of their superior scholarliness, they are declaring liberalism to not be what liberalism obviously is--a cult. Of course, claims that liberalism is not a cult are false claims. No cult likes to be identified as a cult. All cults resort to this same type of argument, and liberalism is no exception.

The meaning of the word, conservatism, has been changed to mean: anyone who opposes the liberal characteristics listed above. And, liberals have defined three levels of conservatives, receiving increasing levels of liberal hate as you go from "conservative" to "ultra-conservative" and finally to the most hated "ultra-conservative Christian."
What is a cult?
Liberalism is based on the human goodness cult. There is a theory founded on the natural goodness of humans. That theory, which says that natural goodness or righteousness comes from self, could be stated as self-righteousness. According to Webster's Dictionary, the other word or label for this theory is "liberalism." Natural human goodness, the basis of liberalism, were it to actually exist, would eliminate the need for our Savior, Jesus Christ. As Jesus told the Scribes and Pharisees, because they think they have no need, they are still in their sins. Many consider liberalism to be part of the New Age religion.
The government becomes the totalitarian “church” of Liberalism. Every effort is put into creating a situation where Biblical Christianity is not allowed to have any influence in government and the cultic religion of Liberalism has all control of government. Every effort is put into increasing the control of government and using governmental power to eliminate Biblical Christianity, even to the point of taking over authority of parents over their own children.
The Secular Television networks, Secular schools, Secular scientific journals, Secular music industry, Secular news industry, Secular entertainment industry, Secular print media, and Secular radio all are overwhelmingly controlled by Secularists, including Liberalism. Every form of entertainment and information is used as a carrier to indoctrinate into Liberalism. And they are also used to demean, marginalize, condemn, denigrate, and belittle Biblical Christianity.
This is not to say that God doesn't impart any goodness at all to human beings. God created humanity and put a conscience in every person. The Bible is clear on that. The conscience gets seared, becomes evil, becomes insensitive to God, but God put a perfectly good conscience in every person. That’s part of why no one will have an excuse in judgment. The trouble is that it’s impossible for the natural human being, the unregenerate man or woman, to obey that conscience completely. It is true that the Bible says that some have become a law unto themselves and some have tried to follow the actual law of God, the ten commandments and the levitical law, that is the law gave by God to Moses. Had they been able to fulfill it, it would have been wonderful, but humanity cannot do it. We are sold into sin by inheritance, and that will continue until our bodies are redeemed. So, every time anyone tries, in their own effort, to obey their conscience, there is something there to taint it.
Because of the conscience, some people are able to silently, not in self-pride or self-righteousness but simply out of love, help in times of need. They perhaps have not yet totally seared their consciences. It’s like that when a tsunami or hurricane strikes, and even unsaved people come in to help. Many do it for political gain or self pride, however. After Hurricane Katrina, they surveyed the people who had been helped as to where the help came from. It was the Churches 10 to 1 over every other source of help—including the government and the non-profits.
Without the power of the Holy Spirit, though, good works are like good, clean water mixed with sewage. There is always something that is wrong with it. As the Bible says, "Our righteous acts are filthy rags." Even at our best, we are pouring out filthy water, we are dumping filthy rags on those around us. Only the Holy Spirit within us is able to do good. And the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. There is no power for good without Jesus. As He said, "Without Me you can do nothing."
The Cult, Liberalism
Liberalism crosses political parties and national boundaries. It can be found in most churches to some degree. It is the natural tendency of the human to attempt to show its own supposed goodness. The old Adam in each of us is a liberal. The natural mind is a liberal.
It has been falsely stated that liberalism is a philosophy where anything goes and that accepts any idea as valid. The reality is that everyone has very definite ideas about what they feel is right and what they feel is wrong. Some liberals even hold a belief that it is right to believe that there is no right or wrong and it is wrong to believe that there is a right and wrong . . . if you can follow the inconsistency of that belief system. And they are eager to force this odd bit of reasoning on the rest of us. Weird!
Many people, liberal or not, are willing to try to coerce others into conformance to their personal belief system. Note the great liberal effort to push such ideas as liberal attitudes toward morality, political correctness, bogus science, bogus history, promiscuity, and perversion on the rest of society. They have had great success in most countries in using tax-supported schools to indoctrinate the young in these ideas. What would happen if Christians were as dedicated to what they believe? Too many Christians try to hide what they believe. Too many Christians cave in to coercion.

Believing that the government can solve all problems, or believing in socialism in some form and ignoring the violent history of socialism and human "utopia."

Use of covetousness to rally support.
Desire to give the money of one group of people to a second group of people in order to gain the support of the second group of people.
Drugs and alcohol abuse.
All types of sexual activity outside of marriage between one man and one woman.

Belief in rationalized speculation as the source for knowledge and wisdom.

Biblical Christianity is not tolerated. Minds closed to the revelation in the Bible.

Adding to or taking from the Bible to make it acceptable.
Acceptance of pseudo-science based on rationalized speculation.
Abortion and Euthanasia.
Tendency to speak of passivism while endorsing violence.
Requiring no internal consistency from self or from liberal gurus.
Of course, all of this runs into problems with the Bible, so liberals, in general, try to imply that they can add to or eliminate parts of the Bible. A favorite tactic is to try to say that there are errors in the Bible.
The liberal mind-set is always looking to over turn God's law by any means. One method that they use is simply to be offended. They are easily offended about nothing at all. And they feel that they can be as offensive as a human being could be, but no one should say anything about that.
Liberalism is a smorgasbord dogma, though. That means that some liberals may both believe in “the natural goodness of humans” and also do not believe in “the natural goodness of humans.” Some may even not believe in the prime directive of liberalism (human goodness) at all. They may have been brought into the fold by some other route such as through being seduced into the welfare mentality by looking for some government freebie. They may have been brought in through being brainwashed by the news media, entertainment media, or public education systems.
Inconsistency is no problem under liberalism. Just chalk it up to another "proof" for the chaos theory. Under the rules of liberalism, there is nothing odd about believing that, "I'm a good person," or "most people are basically good," and believing that Jesus was sent to Earth to absolve mankind of its sins. Liberalism can even adopt the anti-biblical, scientifically inconsistent and illogical notion of theistic evolution and think they believe in science. There are at least two types of liberalism, and this page deals with the worldly type, the same type that you hear about on the news. The other type of liberal is seldom referred to by the term, liberal, any more.

Conservatism really means to conserve, to keep things the same. But now, the word, conservatism, is used to describe anyone who opposes the list of liberal characteristics.

Using the dictionary definition of Liberalism, can give some insight into the twenty-first century use of the word, liberal:
It is the delusion of human goodness that is the root of the great separation between liberalism and the followers of Jesus Christ. Liberalism cannot be reconciled to Christ because it is anti-Christ. The reality is that, even when humanity is at its best, the fallen creature is still in the clutches of the evil one. The only real victory is through Jesus Christ.
Liberalism, in most cases, is marked by a supposed righteousness emanating from the self. This is the true and only self-righteousness, and it is a false righteousness. The only real righteousness that can be attained is available through Jesus Christ. It is God's free gift to whomsoever will accept it.
If we are good, then we don’t need Jesus.
If we are good, then we can do good without Jesus.
Jesus said, “Without Me, you can do nothing.”
If we were to claim to be good, then we would be calling Jesus a liar.
How does a liberal attain such self-righteousness?
Lower the bar. God’s law reminds liberals of their need for Christ, so they don't want any reference to God's Law. This is a major thrust that includes Message Control to encourage the following and more: adultery, fornication, perversion, pornography, drug addiction, entertainment addiction, envy, malice, idolatry, covetousness, stealing, disrespect to parents and authority, and destruction of the Biblical pattern for the home. Along with this goes all the legal maneuvering to eliminate the Ten Commandments from classrooms and public buildings. This is one reason that liberals don't think that the Bible is the inspired Word of God without error. The Bible destroys their self-righteousness and asks them to receive God's righteousness. The trouble is that they love sin more than they love God.
Change the bar. They make up their own morality to suit those things that they want to do. In effect, they define morality and righteousness to mean whatever they are doing.
Eliminate the bar. Some say that everyone should do whatever they want to do.
Make false claims of righteousness, including public relations and doing “works” just so that they can be seen.
Deny reality by not acknowledging their own sinful natures. They proclaim their own goodness in spite of what they really know. All have fallen short. Liberalism once meant the quality of reaching into one's own pocket to help the less fortunate. Now, liberalism steals from one group of people and gives the ill-gotten gain to another group of people in order to gain political power. The meanings of "liberal" and "Liberalism" have changed. Since the word, liberal, is often used in a very deceiving way as it is applied by the media, a more accurate term might be, "New Age Liberal," since many of the so-called liberal people fit the description of one New Age group or another. Once again, we must keep in mind that liberalism is a smorgasbord from which liberals pick only those precepts to which they personally want to subscribe. And some people consider themselves liberal simply because they are a captive of the liberal social system, that is, they are getting benefits from the Government and become dependent on the liberals.
Liberal political correctness is simply an attempt to throw off the rule of God and to establish a new human-generated law. The purpose is just to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals by lowering the bar, changing the bar, or eliminating the bar. The liberal simply looks at what he or she wants to do and finds a way to rationalize a supposition that the very thing that he or she wants to do is, in the liberal's fantasy world, the definition of righteousness.
Relativism is simply a means by which liberals can cope with the fact that their political ideas, pseudo-scientific ideas, and immoral morality are contrary to common sense and observation. It is becoming ever more common to hear liberals say that each person must find his or her own truth. If this were true, then there would be no Truth and so it would be OK to lie. If there were no fundamental absolutes as relativists claim, then life would be about winning or losing. That would be shallow and dangerous thinking. The purpose of relativism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals. Since there is no right or wrong, they must be good people?
Socialism and all the social programs are simply attempts to make the Kingdom of God without King Jesus, but with king human. These social programs also have another benefit for liberals: They create dependencies. People who become dependent on the government are merely slaves to the liberals. Only two economic systems exist, Free Enterprise and Socialism. Free Enterprise is considered right wing. Socialism is considered left wing. Liberals favor socialism. Conservatives favor Free Enterprise (although, some dictionaries say that liberalism favors free enterprise--but this isn't the case). Socialism is an economic system based on envy. Free Enterprise allows for ambition and hard work with safe-guards against stealing and fraud. The purpose of Socialism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals. Liberals are so compassionate that they will steal money from one person and give it to another person. Some of them even bring in religion as if Christ had said that they should go out and use the government to coerce the unbelievers into helping the poor.
Communism is simply an attempt to make the Kingdom of God without King Jesus, but with king human. The purpose of Communism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals. Liberals are so compassionate that they will steal money from one person and give it to another person.
Evolutionism is simply an unscientific wish that there were no God and no judgment and no need for obedience to God. The purpose of volutionism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals. Since they refuse to acknowledge God, they can continue to sin and pretend that they see nothing wrong with it.
Intellectualism when it is defined as the notion that the human mind, rather than God, is the source of all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. The purpose of Intellectualism is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals and to give glory to human beings.
Judicial Activism is simply a way to set up dictators. It is a way to set up a totalitarian government without waiting for re-training and brainwashing of generations of children through the corrupt liberal "education," "news," "entertainment," and "literature" message control systems. The liberals have found a way to change the constitution and to put control of the government into the hands of a few liberal Federal judges. The method is to put these judges into position and to filibuster the appointment of any judges who will not be liberal activist judges. The judges then declare from the bench that the law and the constitution does not mean what the elected officials wrote, but the law means what the liberals want it to mean. That is what activism is. It is the reconstruction of the law into something that was never written into the law. A prime example is the interpretation of separation of Church and State, which is not in the Constitution. Now, the activists have interpreted the U.S. Constitution to mean the opposite of the protection for the Church that is actually written into the Constitution. Rather than protecting the Church from the State as originally written, they have reconstructed it to say that the State must be protected from Christians. Another example is the rewriting or what the Constitution says and citing the current disgusting moral state of Europe as the pattern which overrides the Constitution. The purpose of judicial activism is to give power to the liberals.
Message Control is simply a way to brainwash adults and children alike through tight control of the messages being put out through the corrupt liberal "education," "news," "entertainment," and "literature" communication systems. The purpose of message control is to give power to liberals and to keep anyone from disproving the self-righteousness of the liberals.
Mocking and Name Calling are simply methods of message control through coercion. Christians are regularly called, "stupid," "dumb," "flat earthers," and the like. Now, some conservatives are returning fire, but Christians (or conservatives) cannot win this type of game. Never wrestle with a pig. Biblical error claims, claims that there must be some error in the Bible, are simply the desperate fantasies of those who hate what God commands in the Bible and would like to imply that their human minds hold authority that is equal to that of the Bible. The Bible tells us all that only God is good, that we are evil by nature, that God has provided only one way by which we must be saved and that way is Jesus Christ. Liberals cannot stand that prospect and are desperate to find some way to keep themselves from facing the facts. The purpose of a biblical error claim is to prove the self-righteousness of the liberals, because the Bible tells them they are wicked.
Excessive Spending does several things. It ruins the economy. Liberals of all parties spend like crazy, then blam everyone else using the liberal press to get the message out. If the economy folds completely, then it can be replaced with a socialist economy like all the totalitarian states. In the mean time, high taxes are needed because the liberalism is hoping to create a utopia. It's very expensive to create utopia, you know.
Big Government is the method of bringing everyone into slavery. Government programs help to make people dependent and dependent people are slaves. Those who can't be made slaves in this way can be coerced into subservience through coercion. Liberals need big government to have the power to coerce. Many other liberal issues are actually just ways to increase control. Here is a partial list: socialization rather than privatization, appointment of only liberal judicial activists who legislate from the bench, gun control, crushing taxation, extension of U.N. control, programs that hurt the economy or that cause dependencies on the Government, brainwashing of children into evolutionism, secular humanism, immorality, and other liberal tenets while assuring illiteracy.
The push for more government taxes regulations on businesses and individuals are ways of gaining more control. Unnecessary controls and taxes raise prices, destroy the economy and destroy the job market. Once the economy starts to fail, it creates an opportunity for more regulations plus subsidies. Extreme environmental laws, not based in science, accomplish the same liberal goal, plus the environmentalists are often able to get the political support of the ignorant. The desire to make it easy to bring nuisance lawsuits also hurts the economy. As Ronald Reagan defined it, “If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it.” This is the road to totalitarianism.
Government financial support of humanistic non-profit organizations puts money in the pockets of major liberal campaign contributors. Efforts to make it easy to bring nuisance lawsuits also put money in the pockets of major campaign contributors. The purpose of the money flow is to bring power to the liberals.
Manipulation of the election process is simply a way of forcing the will of liberals on the public. The methods include pushing for policies that make voter fraud easy. Liberals also push for laws that favor liberal campaign contributors: pornographers, abortionists, strip clubs, Hollywood, homosexuals, special interest groups, and similar groups. There are constant attempts to create regulations so that only liberals can influence elections or muzzle the Christian voice and regulate the free speech of Churches. In addition, we have seen increasing liberal violence and hatred against political opponents. The purpose of election fraud is to bring power to the liberals.
Extreme religious zeal for politics are simply the result of the fact that the liberal mindset leaves the liberals with no purpose in life, so they make up a purpose. Unfortunately, that purpose is reprobate politics that goes against every one of God's laws. The purpose of political activism is to bring power to the liberals.
Liberal Christians are simply Christians who are not evangelical. They are not evangelical even though their organizations may label themselves as evangelical and Christian. The fact is that the labels are simply a way to lure the unwary.
Liberal Peace movements and rhetoric are filled with violence against anyone who dares to disagree.
Favoring civil and political liberties? False! Liberalism favors those liberties that are anti-Christ, anti-God, or anti-Christian. It favors those with the liberal viewpoint. Liberals definitely do not favor civil and political liberties for Christians. The group of liberal lawyers that say they are in favor of civil liberties is a prime example of this. This group of lawyers has fought against the truth of creation and for teaching the religion of evolution. It has consistently taken a stand against the morality of the Bible and for every ungodly precept. Liberals are intent on limiting the free speech in Churches. The list of examples could go on.
Favoring the autonomy of the individual? Untrue. This is one of the main misconceptions of liberalism. In fact, liberals do everything to enslave the individual. They enslave many through Government programs that give out benefits or money, converting the Government into a Secular Humanist church and creating dependencies in millions of individuals. Liberals enslave others through high taxes, restrictive regulations, and limits on freedom of expression.
Government by law with the consent of the governed? This clearly is one more misunderstanding of the way that liberalism works. Liberalism limits the freedom of the majority to cater to the minority, which is the opposite of law with the consent of the governed. It does this mainly for political power. There was a time when liberalism thought that popular opinion would give them what they wanted. Now, who are the liberals afraid of? You, the voter. They want the courts to act as despot, as dictator. They can't stand true freedom of choice. They support anti-God, Communist dictators.
Protection from arbitrary authority? This is another misconception of liberalism. Liberalism is the largest source of arbitrary authority. Liberalism loves laws on top of laws and regulation on top of regulation. They think that, if they can find the right combination, they can make everything perfect. Sorry. The coming peaceful government that will bring holiness and joy is called the Kingdom of God. It will take place in the way the Bible says that it will take place. All the arbitrary authority that the liberals want to usurp, mostly through an oligarchy of judges, will not bring what they desire. It will, rather, destroy them.
An economic theory in favor of laissez-faire, the free market? That is a joke. Liberals stand firmly against free enterprise and for socialism. Conservatism tends to favor laissez-fair economic policies and the free market. Liberalism opposes this. It's interesting how the meanings of words change.
Showing or characterized by broad-mindedness? This definition has no basis in reality if we are talking about 21st Century liberalism. Liberals are open to liberal ideas only. Liberals are not open to fundamentalism, for instance. True liberals are not tolerant of Christian ideas and the Biblical world view.
Having political or social views favoring reform and progress? Not really. They don't want to reform a corrupt voting process that encourages cheating at the polls. They don't want to progress toward Biblical righteousness and a closer walk with God. They want to maintain their message control system. They want to progress toward any laws or restrictions that would help liberals to be more liberal.
Tolerant of change? Not if the change is toward righteousness. Not the change toward open sharing of all sides of an issue in public schools and universities. Not the change to stop discriminating against Christians in Government and privately financed media. Only if the change is toward liberalism. They are desperate to change the world into a world that only follows liberalism. They are frantic to change the world to eliminate Jesus Christ.
Giving freely? Not in the sense Jesus spoke of: "Let not your left hand know what your right hand is doing." There is some giving, usually with great fan fare and publicity, which is really just good business PR. There is some giving that is for the purpose of a liberal showing that he or she is a good person. This is not the same as giving freely. In fact, the large majority of liberal giving is the act of robbing Peter to pay Paul in hopes of getting political power in the form of Paul's vote. Some have crept into the Church and have twisted the Scripture, saying that the Church has the responsibility to use the government to coerce unbelievers into giving money, in the form of taxes, to help the poor and many other "causes." Real giving involves reaching into one's own pocket and not even allowing one's own ego to notice. "Let not your left hand know what your right hand is doing." The Bible rightly says, in many place and in many ways, that there is not a just man upon the earth. It says, very clearly, that we need Jesus. It says, very clearly, that by receiving Jesus we may receive forgiveness and also we may receive real righteousness. This is not the righteousness of the human, which would be hypocrisy, but it in the righteousness of the holy Christ living and working in the one who has received Christ.
This one point is the focal point of all of history. This one point is the reason that the United States is divided. This one point is Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
This is the reason that secular humanists, agnostics, and atheists have risen up, from time to time, against Christians.
This is the reason that some Hindu people, some Moslem people, and some from other New Age religions have risen up, from time to time, against Christians.
This is the reason that liberal Christians have risen up, from time to time, against Christians.
The members of the elitist liberal class consider themselves to be above the other members of society. These are the self-righteous. They are the true hypocrites in the sense that Jesus used the word, hypocrite. They consider themselves to be "intellectuals" and love to think of themselves as the elite and good people, but they have lost the ability to reason. Unfortunately, the liberals have gotten the U.S. Government to embrace Naturalism and Materialism (which are simply dogmas that are taken on human faith) as State supported dogmas, since these are increasingly being supported by our courts.

Interestingly, the website, Wikipedia, states that liberalism is not a cult on an archived page that no one is allowed to edit. Wikipedia is controlled by those who are most persistent and willing to wrestle. It is not controlled by truth. The liberal writer in Wikipedia gives no reason for this claim but simply states that Wikipedia does not take seriously the idea that liberalism is a cult while asserting that Wikipedia, in a "straightforward and scholarly way gives information and doesn't dally with sleaze." I guess that by reason of their superior scholarliness, they are declaring liberalism to not be what liberalism obviously is--a cult. Of course, claims that liberalism is not a cult are false claims. No cult likes to be identified as a cult. All cults resort to this same type of argument, and liberalism is no exception.
In the process, Wikipedia redefines liberalism, leaving out these important words that are in the Dictionary definition of liberalism: "A political theory founded on the natural goodness of humans." Here is the definition given for liberalism by Wikipedia--at least as of this writing:
