Look at this screenshot. I have 12 tabs open, and the total memory used is only 245MB. Firefox has always treated me good, but towards the end it would be over 300MB not long after opening the browser. If I had 12 tabs open it would probably be 10x what Chrome is using.

And no "hott notes" is not porn. :) It's a cool little post it note program that is always running. And no, not downloading any movies from a warez site there, just doing some research was all. :)

7 tabs, 148 MB. I like Chrome. 7 tabs is to many but 12 would make my head explode.

 Is that considered multitasking?

Stop hitting so many gay sites all at once, pace yourself!!

Sometimes at a forum like the warez place, instead of opening like 8 threads that are on one page, I'll go down the list and right click and open in new tabs. Then I'll go back one by one and see what I like.

The only little issue I see is that it doesn't seem to have as many extensions like FF offers, but that's not too bad as I don't need many. Still a few that I would love to have back. But for the performance gain, I'll forego a few extensions. :)

Chrome is known to be light on memory usage. Opera is even better, I understand. Firefox ... I used to use it, but it always demanded lots of memory for proper functionality. I gave up on it years ago.

It so happens that I, too, have twelve tabs open right this minute (and a similar number open usually). NEVER has this created any problem for me.

Thanks for telling all of us pete. That totally explains your absence of intelligent ability to communicate as a normal human. Not your fault. But it WAS your choice.

As a comparison, here's almost the same with Firefox, and it used up 666MB of memory and swallowed my CPU as well!
