Obama Owns Worst Economic Numbers In 80 Years

Thanks to Obamanomics the US economy is plodding through the worst recovery in decades.
The Wall Street Journal reported:

The economic expansion—already the worst on record since World War II—is weaker than previously thought, according to newly revised data.

From 2012 through 2014, the economy grew at an all-too-familiar rate of 2% annually, according to three years of revised figures the Commerce Department released Thursday. That’s a 0.3 percentage point downgrade from prior estimates.

The revisions were released concurrently with the government’s first estimate of second-quarter output.

Since the recession ended in June 2009, the economy has advanced at a 2.2% annual pace through the end of last year. That’s more than a half-percentage point worse than the next-weakest expansion of the past 70 years, the one from 2001 through 2007. While there have been highs and lows in individual quarters, overall the economy has failed to break out of its roughly 2% pattern for six years.

It’s even worse than we thought.
Obama looks even worse, ranking dead last among all presidents since 1932 – over 80 years.
The Daily Caller reported:

Over the first five years of Obama’s presidency, the U.S. economy grew more slowly than during any five-year period since just after the end of World War II, averaging less than 1.3 percent per year. If we leave out the sharp recession of 1945-46 following World War II, Obama looks even worse, ranking dead last among all presidents since 1932. No other president since the Great Depression has presided over such a steadily poor rate of economic growth during his first five years in office. This slow growth should not be a surprise in light of the policies this administration has pursued.

Yeah and I can post a dozen links with stats that state how great his economy is and what a great job he did recovering from Bush's disaster. Remember when you said I posted biased links. Good fucking lord Jim. Take your own medicine.

Pete, Investmentwatch is a very well noted website. Can you PLEASE just debate the content of the articles - perhaps take the words, maybe PROVE them wrong?

Take meds? Pete, you're pissing me off tonight, and that's rare. I've been VERY VERY VERY restrained tonight.... but if you would like to take a nap tonight, a mini vacation, 24 hours away - A BAN for the retards... just say the word. How about you reply to people in kind, instead of just being a general asshole to everyone?

someone has to counter you twisted fucks otherwise during registration make it clear this is an alt right community for bashing liberals and wanking off trump. If that is not the case then expect me to counter, because I disagree on just about everything.

A shame. I honestly tried hard this evening to bite my tongue mostly, to try to reply to EVERYONE factually, as best I can anyway. I've pointed out several times that I was doing so with you... and that not EVERYONE here is talking in a certain way, and perhaps you should think about "replying in kind".

Now with the above reply, it appears you are just pushing me now. I'll bite my tongue one more time...

One of the biggest indicators of the fraudulent nature of the "recovery" of our economy is the labor force participation rate which has dropped 18% while The One has been busy trying to "fundamentally change" America. (http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/susan-jones/record-95102000-americans-not-labor-force-number-grew-18-obama-took-office)

Creating a service economy where jobs once valued as an entry level training job are now seen as a career path is nothing about which Mr. Obama should be bragging nor should the methane breathers on the left be vaunting as a great achievement.

:laugh2:

If you are the best that Liberals can field, then I'm going to start making a header for DP saying : MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Come to think of it, you DID nominate a corrupt politician under an active FBI investigation, so maybe you ARE the best that liberals can field.

The problem with pete311 is that he follows a tactic of obfuscating rather than debating. You bring in a room full of Nobel prize winning economists and he'll just poo-poo it all.

He said he could provide a dozen links to refute Jim's original post and hasn't.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would consider the Wall Street Journal, of all publication, not a credible source of economic reporting.

The problem with pete311 is that he just likes to upset the apple cart... he's not here to contribute to a rational debate but to upset people.

I am going to do what is best, place him on my 'ignore' list... after all life is too short than to have to pay attention with gadflies like him

The Wall Street Journal is owned by Rupert Murdoch. It's credibility is nowhere close to what it once was.

Can you cite a source that invalidates Jim's claim? The innuendo that Rupert Murdoch is somehow cooking up phony economic figures from the Commerce Department does not make a convincing argument.

Jim is right, economic growth has been anemic the past several years.

I think the WSJ is right that our recovery has been slower than most but it looks like the Daily Caller is including numbers from when he took office which can't rightly be placed on BO; any POTUS is due a lag between when they take office and when they get blame or credit.

But amazingly someone has a different POV:

President Obama's economic legacy has just been cemented (http://finance.yahoo.com/news/president-obamas-economic-legacy-has-just-been-cemented-162815371.html)BO sucks but even he couldn't completely kill the economy.
