One vote for "Lastpass" here! Just switched to Chrome a short while back and that's one I had to add.

I make up my own. If someone can find mine that I make from
The Encyclopedia of Arda, they are more than welcome to screw with me:

http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/

I used stuff from there for years on classified sites. There are literally 10's of thousands
of names, places, and terms on that site.

I don't trust anyone with my passwords. Mine are all gibberish.

When it comes to passwords, size does matter:

The best passwords have mixed case letters, numbers, and special characters

Total number of combinations = (number of characters in your character set) raised to the number of characters in your password

How long would it take a hacker to guess your password that included all of these if he could guess 100 billion passwords a second?

1. 8 characters (96**8 combinations) - 20 hours

2. 12 characters (96**12 combinations) - 194,288 years

3. 15 characters (96**15 combinations) - 171,894,463,426 years (172 billion years - that's over 10 times the age of the universe)

4. 18 characters - 152,081,219,993,855,034 years (152 quadrillion years - by this time, all the matter in the universe will have decayed into elementary particles)

change your passwords periodically and use strong passwords (passwords based on random character sequences)...

use two factor authentication when possible

don't set up email servers in your broom closet

Not even the Russians will be able to hack you :)

I always make up my own passwords, and I know they can be better. I USED to just keep them in my notebook here in case I needed to reference. But sites will force changes, then you forget to update the book... Anything that is a MUST secure is ONLY in my head - and that's my banking password, and my password for here. :)

Yeck. They own EVERYTHING. Snapple is where I started.... they own Mott's, Nantucket Nectars... and then I believe they were gobbled up by Kraft. Other than Snapple I hated the rest.

Ours had to be a creative set-up of Caps, lower case, Numerals, and symbols - 14 characters:

Just an example - Forest of Region: F0rest_of_R3g!0n.
