South Front reports (https://southfront.org/leaked-audio-of-us-secretary-of-state-john-kerry-shows-obama-wanted-isis-to-grow/#sthash.sFHQvo2S.dpbs):

On Wednesday, Wikileaks released new evidence of US President-elect Donald Trump (https://southfront.org/obama-is-trying-to-delegitimize-trump/)’s assertion that Barack Obama was the founder of ISIS – a leaked audio of US Secretary of State John Kerry’s meeting with members of the Syrian opposition at the Dutch Mission of the UN on September 22. The audio also is an evidence of the fact that mainstream media colluded with the Obama’s administration in order to push the narrative for regime change in Syria, hiding the truth about arming and funding ISIS by the US, as it exposed a 35 minute conversation that was omitted by CNN.
Kerry admits that the primary goal of the Obama’s administration in Syria was regime change and the removal of Syrian President Bahar al-Assad, as well as that Washington (https://southfront.org/washington-post-announces-sanctions-russia-interference-us-elections/) didn’t calculate that Assad would turn to Russia for help.
In order to achieve this goal, the White House allowed the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group to rise. The Obama’s administration hoped that growing power of the IS in Syria would force Assad to search for a diplomatic solution on US terms, forcing him to cede power. In its turn, in order to achieve these two goals, Washington intentionally armed members of the terrorist group and even attacked a Syrian government (https://southfront.org/putin-syrian-government-armed-opposition-reach-ceasefire-agreement/) military convoy, trying to stop a strategic attack on the IS, killing 80 Syrian soldiers.
“And we know that this was growing, we were watching, we saw that DAESH [the IS] was growing in strength, and we thought Assad was threatened,” Kerry said during the meeting.
“(We) thought, however,” he continued to say, “We could probably manage that Assad might then negotiate, but instead of negotiating he got Putin to support him.”
“I lost the argument for use of force in Syria,” Kerry concluded.
According to Wikileaks, “the audio gives a glimpse into what goes on outside official meetings. Note that it represents the US narrative and not necessarily the entire true narrative.”
Earlier the audio was published by the New York Times (https://southfront.org/new-york-times-and-the-new-mccarthyism/) and CNN, however, the both outlets chose only some its part, reporting on certain aspects, and omitted the most damning comments made by Kerry. In fact, they tried to hide the statements that would allow public to understand what has actually taken place in Syria.
The full audio has never been published by the New York Times; the outlet released only selected snippets. CNN deleted the audio (http://edition.cnn.com/2016/10/01/politics/kerry-audio-recording-syria/?__hstc=143095274.3082198784b64b3fd601603c55e2e3ce .1483539060886.1483539060886.1483539060886.1&__hssc=143095274.1.1483539060886&__hsfp=767778946) at all, explaining this with the request of some of the participants out of concern for their personal safety.
Full tape of John Kerry’s statements as released by Wikileaks (the part quoted in the text above is from 26:30 to 26:55):

I don't think you could find anything at this point that would expose more buffoonery from this administration and garner any kind of legitimate surprise anymore, Balu.

I'm embarrassed of Obama and Kerry's incompetence more than I can express.

Just validates what Gaffer and I both knew obama was doing. We had long email talks about it.
I mentioned it several times in various threads here but got ridiculed by the usual suspects.
My big point was that the obama ordered ISIS military command and control center in Raqqua
to never be hit by any of our airstrikes and the fact that as high as 80% of our airs sorties came back with full payloads intact-as at target location they were denied permission to drop those bombs, fire those missiles.
That was so the obama/team could post a high number of airstrikes yet inflict little damage on ISIS.
The high number of airstrikes would be accurate-- what they left out was most didn't actually strike- as refusal to ok the strike stopped them(NO PAYLOAD DROPPED).
It was a very clever , deceptive FALSE IMAGE OF OBAMA ACTUALLY FIGHTING AND TRYING TO ELIMINATE ISIS.

NOW THIS VALIDATES MY CLAIMS MADE AGAINST THE TRAITOR OBAMA!

Remember , how obama went into meltdown mode when Putin rushed in and had his Russian jets strike that ISIS MILITARY COMMAND AND CONTROL CENTER IN RAQQUA(?) (I BELIEVE WITH FRENCH PLANES AS A TEAM EFFORT) !--Tyr

Our liberals are upset over Trump's words about women, or his words about wanting a relationship with Russia.... But where are they with this? I guess this is no big deal? Should I simply prepare for "bush did it too"? LOL

Well, Robert,
You are a chess-player. Look at the map and put together in a chain events in Iraq, Libya, Syria, a Nazi coup the West organized, financed and conducted in Ukraine, the flow of refugees from the Middle East to Europe the USA don't care about, permanent and useless negotiations between Kerry, and Lavrov, the murder of Russian Ambassador in Turkey, over 3,000 American tanks and vehicles (mind the structure of US Army) delivered to Poland and Baltic Republics... Compose the picture and try to imaging that nowadays Atlantic pool is no longer a protective obstacle the US will be able to sit aside with your leaky missile defense, when a satellite controlled missile launchers can already be in any of 20 foot container say 100-150 miles from the targets deep in the territory of the USA (Club-K, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3M-54_Klub )...
For me this is rather cheerless picture, and thanks to God that Putin has nerves of steel.

Most Americans would probably be astounded to realize that the president who has been painted by Washington pundits as a reluctant warrior has actually been a hawk. The Iran nuclear deal, a herculean achievement, and the opening of diplomatic relations with Cuba unfortunately stand alone as President Obama’s successful uses of diplomacy over hostility.
While candidate Obama came to office pledging to end George W Bush’s wars, he leaves office having been at war longer than any president in US history. He is also the only president to serve two complete terms with the nation at war.
President Obama did reduce the number of US soldiers fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, but he dramatically expanded the air wars and the use of special operations forces around the globe. In 2016, US special operators could be found in 70% of the world’s nations, 138 countries – a staggering jump of 130% (http://www.commondreams.org/views/2017/01/05/year-commando)since the days of the Bush administration.

</aside>Looking back at President Obama’s legacy, the Council on Foreign Relation’s Micah Zenko added up the defense department’s data on airstrikes and made a startling revelation (https://www.theguardian.com/profile/micah-zenko): in 2016 alone, the Obama administration dropped at least 26,171 bombs. This means that every day last year, the US military blasted combatants or civilians overseas with 72 bombs; that’s three bombs every hour, 24 hours a day.
While most of these air attacks were in Syria and Iraq, US bombs also rained down on people in Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan. That’s seven majority-Muslim countries.
One bombing technique that President Obama championed is drone strikes. As drone-warrior-in-chief, he spread the use of drones outside the declared battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq, mainly to Pakistan and Yemen. Obama authorized over 10 times more drone strikes than George W Bush, and automatically painted all males of military age in these regions as combatants (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/29/world/obamas-leadership-in-war-on-al-qaeda.html), making them fair game for remote controlled killing.
President Obama has claimed that his overseas military adventures are legal under the 2001 and 2003 authorizations for the use of military force passed by Congress to go after al-Qaida. But today’s wars have little or nothing to do with those who attacked the United States on September 11, 2001.

</aside>The twisted legal architecture the Obama administration (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/obama-administration) has constructed to justify its interventions, especially extrajudicial drone killings with no geographic restrictions, will now be transferred into the erratic hands of Donald Trump.
What does the administration have to show for eight years of fighting on so many fronts? Terrorism has spread, no wars have been “won” and the Middle East is consumed by more chaos and divisions than when candidate Barack Obama declared his opposition to the invasion of Iraq.
While the switch from US troops on the ground to airstrikes and special forces has saved US lives, untold numbers of foreign lives have been snuffed out. We have no idea how many civilians have been killed in the massive bombings in Iraq and Syria, where the US military is often pursuing Isis in the middle of urban neighborhoods. We only sporadically hear about civilian killings in Afghanistan, such as the tragic bombing of the Doctors Without Borders hospital in Kunduz that left 42 dead and 37 wounded.
Pushed to release information about civilian deaths in drone strikes, in July 2016 the US government made the absurd claim it had killed, at most, 116 civilians in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia and Libya between 2009 and 2015. Journalists and human rights advocates said the numbers were ridiculously low and unverifiable, given that no names, dates, locations or others details were released. The London-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism, which has tracked drone strikes for years, said the true figure (https://www.thebureauinvestigates.com/2016/07/01/obama-drone-casualty-numbers-fraction-recorded-bureau/) was six times higher.
Given that drones account for only a small portion of the munitions dropped in the past eight years, the numbers of civilians killed by Obama’s bombs could be in the thousands. But we can’t know for sure as the administration, and the mainstream media, has been virtually silent about the civilian toll of the administration’s failed interventions.

Speaking out on behalf of grieving families whose losses have never been acknowledged by the US government, I asked President Obama to apologize to them. As I was being dragged out, President Obama said: “The voice of that woman is worth paying attention to.”

I'm sure Putin does have 'nerves of steel'. Such could no doubt have been said for many if not most of the world's historical despots ! When ISIS first cranked up, grabbed its first small territory, they were concentrated in a couple small camps-
CAMPS WE KNEW ABOUT BUT OUR MILITARY WAS ORDERED BY OBAMA NOT TO ATTACK!
Remember, he called them no problem= just a varsity team! Cried how, we must not destroy them but rather contain them!
That was because he planned on using them, you simpleton... using them against the legitimate government in Syria.
By that huge mistake he let them grow to be the force we have to deal with today!
He deliberately protected them in their infancy..-Tyr
