Alibaba job boom: Jack Ma chats with Trump about how to create 1 million US jobs over 5 years

President-elect Donald Trump said he had a "great meeting" with Alibaba executive chairman Jack Ma on Monday, when they discussed 1 million new U.S. jobs.
Ma said that Alibaba's expansion would focus on products like garments, wine and fruits, especially in the Midwest.

"We're focused on small business," Ma told reporters. "We specifically talked about ... supporting 1 million small businesses, especially in the Midwest of America. Small businesses on the platform selling products — agriculture products and America services — to China and Asia, because we're pretty big in Asia."
Where those jobs would come from is unclear. While an Alibaba spokesperson told CNBC before the meeting that the Chinese online retail giant company would create 1 million jobs over five years, Ma's comments focused on supporting small businesses.

Sure pete. I guess his investment would result in ZERO jobs, right? Perhaps they say it isn't clear because they haven't "exactly" seen where the investments go? Kinda hard to know it all when one wants to invest in SO MANY businesses.

All we need to know.

I wouldn't use the "we" word. I'm MORE than happy with this investment. I'll bet you $50 hard cash via Paypal - right this moment - that there are TONS of jobs created via Ma's investment. Of course ANY investment and job increase is a great thing, but since it's only 50 bucks - how about this - I say 100,000 jobs within 2 years accountable to the Ali Baba dude. How's that? I'll even let someone here hold the dough, I'll Paypal it to them today and they can prove it to you. How's that? You're in, right? Stand by your confidence, petey, I am!!

If Trump found a cure for cancer, the liberals would say "yeah, but now Medicare and Medicaid will be bankrupt because of all of those people not dying"

If Trump found an end to war and established world peace, the liberals would find something wrong with that, too... (it would involve a combination of sexual harassment and Russian hacking)

So, why the hell are these liberal blowhards still in the country? I thought they were leaving?

China likely to restrict access to market, disrupt supply chains in a trade war: Economist (http://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/05/china-likely-to-restrict-access-to-market-disrupt-supply-chains-in-a-trade-war-economist.html)

China (http://www.cnbc.com/china/) is unlikely to take trade diktats from President-elect Donald Trump (http://www.cnbc.com/donald-trump/) and instead use ample tools from multilateral trade (http://www.cnbc.com/trade/) rules to financial resources to fight back, a leading economist said.
"We will see some sort of action and the risk is that even small actions—given that the China may push back very hard—could very quickly escalate into a tit-for-tat battle that erupts into a trade war," Cornell University economist Eswar Prasad told CNBC.

fj. China needs the U.S. trade. They depend on it to even attempt to break even in their economy. If they want a trade war, it will only hurt them, and they know it.
Trump isn't playing their games, the way Obama has been. Apologizing for being the Terrible Satan. But China knows, with their ONE BILLION plus population. Any hint of a trade war against the U.S. will only drive them lower. They do not control any markets unless they can sell their CHEAPLY made products to US.
