Damn!!
That is a great looking cat!
I WONDER OF BALU HAS ONE OR TWO.
IF HE HAS TWO, PERHAPS I CAN TRADE FOR ONE OF THEM!
I HAVE SEEN SOME TOUGH DOGS ROAMING THESE WOODS BUT THAT CAT WOULD SCARE THEM AWAY METHINKS!- :beer: -TYR

Beautiful Lynx! Big one, too.

Years ago at the cabin about this time of year, I honked a few Rabbit Squeals with one of those game calls, not really expecting it to work. It snowed overnight, and the next morning there were Lynx tracks all over the yard in a grid search for that rabbit. It heard it, zeroed in on the squeal and investigated after all was quiet. They have big feet, but this one had the foot size of a 150# Malamute.

I'm a HUGE cat lover of course, got me a little black guy now. But the big cats are majestic. Gotta be pretty cool when that sucker climbs on the bed with you and starts purring!! Like this:

My nephew who lives in Georgia had posted a picture on his Facebook wall last year or the year before. It was a beautiful Bobcat. Like a dumbass, I thought it was some kind of pet, because he was holding his head up a little while in the back of his pickup truck. I didn't realize he had killed him and was just posing for a photo. I was pissed, there was no need, he admitted he killed it for fun. :(

I don't think I've spoken to him since.

It is a great pity you can not understand the speech of the owner of this lynx.
You lost a lot. :slap:
And now my dime in the piggy bank.

The couple took the bear to the family when he was only 3 months. Styopa (the name of a bear) now is already 23 years old, he weighs 135 kg.

I sorta hate seeing that animal in an apartment. But it's beautiful.

Here's, fwiw, why I want to live in russia:

The West has plenty of attractive women, folks ...

I daresay that Russia has its 'attractive features'. It might be a worthwhile place to visit. But I'd never, ever, want to live there. Nobody could ever pay me enough to want to live there.

I value (however relative it is) the freedom I still have. If I lived in Russia, I know that I'd have to watch whatever I said or did, for 'fear' of authorities acting against me if I 'transgressed' by 'naughtily' thinking and expressing myself FREELY.

I'd also have to believe official propaganda, of course - of the type that insists that Putin isn't dangerously power-mad, or that Ukraine is led by maniacs (who 'ARE' such because, shockingly, they want AUTONOMY FROM RUSSIA). Or that Crimea was 'lawfully, and willingly' subsumed into Russia's direct influence over all its affairs, and the rest of the world was wrong to consider the Referendum illegitimate ... and from a voting majority that Saddam Hussein might've recognised as familiar ....

Would I want to live in a country that threatened us all with nuclear EXTINCTION, thanks to the Cuban Missile Crisis, back in 1962 ?

I don't think so, somehow. I prefer to live in a country that's done no such thing, thanks very much ... !!!!!
