Hopefully Trump and Putin can undo some of the mess that's happened in the last few years.

I expect that Putin wants the sanctions removed, but I don't think Trump can do much in that department. There's a lot of work to be done to fix the rift between our countries.

I also hope so. And it will be for mutual benefit. :slap:
Putin repeated several times, that sanctions are a matter of those who applied them, but not ours. In this case Russia has no intentions to require anything. Those, who didn't understand it are making a mistake. We are accustomed to some sanctions from the West since 1920s, so we used to. Nothing new.

I think you're right regarding the sanctions... the EU and USA threatened them and that didn't deter Putin.

At any rate, what's done is done and we can only look to the future now. I think Tillerson will do a fine job with calming everyone down and reducing animosity.

I hope so again. But I have not heard yet if he was approved by Senate. Have you?

Tomorrow he'll be confirmed by the Senate.

I'm just wondering how many threads of Putin adoration Balu thinks we need. They all say the same thing.

Balu, do you know of our American comedian, Jeff Foxworthy? It might just be the mustache, but they have a striking resemblance :
