Very nice.

Let's hope we see a great many more stories like this taking place all over the country.

...

According to Salas, the “raids” were taking place in Van Nuys, San Bernardino, Downey, Santa Paula and Oxnard. Immigration attorneys went to the downtown Los Angeles detention and removal facility Thursday afternoon and saw five white vans and one bus filled with people leave the premises. When an attorney asked Immigration and Customs Enforcement for information about clients who were detained, an ICE officer said more information was needed to identify the individuals, because more than 100 people were currently detained in the facility, Salas said. Usually only one or two people are detained in the center on a given day, Salas added.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California tweeted “URGENT: ICE conducted multiple raids of homes across the city.”

Another deportation with the added bonus of Voter Fraud by an illegal.

DALLAS (CBS11) – The family of a woman convicted of voter fraud is speaking out after a Tarrant County jury sentenced her to eight years in prison.

Prosecutors say the reason officials at the elections department in Dallas didn’t stop the voter fraud from happening is because Rosa Ortega claimed she was a citizen on her application.

Now the Tarrant County D.A.’s office is calling for those claims to be verified before handing out registration cards.

Ortega’s attorney said the mother of four will undoubtedly be deported.

Another deported, this time with the funsies of Identity Theft - a common tactic by illegals is to steal a Social Security Number to get a job.

Naturally, 0bama didn't consider the felony identity theft as worth enough to warrant deportation.

Seems things have changed lately.

On a dark morning in December 2008, Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies knocked on the door of a home in west Mesa. They were there to find a woman suspected of committing a felony, namely working with fake documents at a miniature golf course and water park.

Fairly quickly on that Tuesday, just before 6 a.m., Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos told the deputies what they needed to know to arrest her. She verified her name and said she indeed worked at Golfland Sunsplash, an amusement park about 2 miles away.

That arrest in 2008 was part of a well-publicized attack on illegal immigration by then-Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and then-Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas. Both men had vowed to use their local offices to crack down on a national problem. Both men said they would do so, in part, by going after employers who hired people without the proper documents.

That arrest would lead to the deportation of Garcia de Rayos to Mexico this week. It was the result, her immigration attorney said, of tougher enforcement policies put in place by President Donald Trump. Her earlier felony conviction had not merited her removal in previous years. She was simply told to check in regularly with immigration authorities, her attorney said.

But this week, her family feared she would be subject to different criteria put in place by Trump’s executive action. She and her family held a news conference outside the Phoenix immigration office before she entered. Inside, she was ordered detained and deported. Back outside, protesters amassed. For a time, they blocked the van that would drive her to the border. But that was temporary. Her attorney said on Thursday she had been deported.

If Dems could get away with sending absentee ballots to citizens of other countries, they would do it in a heartbeat. Maybe that is what they will do if Trump deports enough illegals.

Another couple of upcoming deportations of illegals using felony identity theft and voting in our elections, this time from Illinois today :

URBANA — A Mexican national who has lived in Urbana since 2005, allegedly using a stolen identity, was arraigned Thursday on seven federal counts, including four related to voting by an illegal immigrant.

Miguel Valencia-Sandoval, 33, who allegedly had been using the identity of a Texas man named Ramiro G. Vasquez, pleaded not guilty to the charges before Magistrate Eric Long at U.S. District Court in Urbana.

Valencia-Sandoval's arraignment came on the same day that new U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions was sworn in, stressing that the nation needs a "lawful system of immigration."

Sessions vowed to uphold immigration laws that he claimed went largely unenforced during the Obama administration. "We need to end this lawlessness that threatens the public's safety, pulls down wages of working Americans," he said. "If you continually go through a cycle of amnesty (for the undocumented), you undermine the respect for the law and encourage more illegal immigration into America."

Federal authorities declined to comment on whether the voting-related charges were tied to President Donald Trump's ongoing claims of illegal voting.

An affidavit accompanying the criminal complaint said that authorities were tipped off to Valencia-Sandoval's real identity last August when the Piatt County sheriff's office was informed that he had been living under Vasquez's name for about 11 years. Valencia-Sandoval most recently has worked for an Urbana drywall contractor.

Last month, Valencia-Sandoval was arrested at the U.S.-Mexico border in Laredo, Texas, when he attempted to re-enter the country with a Texas birth certificate and state of Illinois ID card bearing the name of Ramiro Guerrora Vasquez.

During an interview with agents on Jan. 7, Valencia-Sandoval admitted, according to a federal affidavit, that he was not the true owner of the birth certificate and that in March 2005 he had purchased it from Oscar Guerrero-Vasquez — Ramiro Guerrero-Vasquez's brother — for $50,000.

Valencia-Sandoval, who lives in the 0-to-100 block of Ivanhoe Drive, U, also admitted that he did not have Ramiro Guerrero-Vasquez's permission to use his identity; had used the identity to live in Illinois since March 2005; had obtained driver's licenses, bank accounts and loans for vehicles; had opened two restaurants that have since been sold; and had obtained a lawful permanent resident card for his wife.

The couple has four children, all born in the United States, said his attorneys, Tony and Evan Bruno.

He also acknowledged, the affidavit said, that he is a citizen of Mexico present in the United States without having been legally admitted or paroled.

The affidavit also noted that "fingerprint queries" showed that Valencia-Sandoval had twice before been "encountered" by authorities — it didn't say where or when — without having been arrested.

The indictment alleges that Valencia-Sandoval made a false statement of U.S. citizenship on a passport application in April 2012. Another charge alleges he made a false claim of citizenship in order to vote in an election. Two felony charges of aggravated identity theft, one for using Vasquez's identity to get a passport and another for using the identity to vote in an election, were part of the indictment.

Lastly, he was charged with three misdemeanor counts of voting in an election by an illegal immigrant, for having voted in general elections in 2012, 2014 and 2016.

Local federal officials acknowledge the election-related counts are unusual but declined to comment further.

Asked whether Valencia-Sandoval could be deported, Sharon Paul, the public information officer for the U.S. Attorney's office said, "That's a question for immigration."

Valencia-Sandoval faces prison terms of between 10 years and one year for each of the counts, plus fines.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Bryan Freres is prosecuting the case, which is tentatively set for a jury trial in April before U.S. District Judge Colin Bruce.

Also Thursday, a separate indictment charged Salvador Garcia-Lund, 27, of the 1700 block of Henry Street, Champaign, with making a false statement of U.S. citizenship and aggravated identity theft in March 2016 on a passport application. He also is charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, an illegal immigrant, on Jan. 4.

Marin said roughly 75% of the people arrested this week had prior felony convictions for crimes that included “sex offenses, assault, robbery, and weapons violations.” Most of the 161 people arrested this week had been targeted for removal based on past criminal convictions, but Marin admitted a few people were swept up because they were found to be undocumented while other arrests were being carried out.
“Those were individuals that are in the country illegally, so they had no documentation or any right to be here in the country,” he said.
“The rash of these recent reports about ICE checkpoints and random sweeps and the like, it’s all false, and that’s definitely dangerous and irresponsible,” Marin said. “Reports like that create panic and they put communities and law enforcement personnel in unnecessary danger.”

California expanded its legal attack on federal immigration policy Friday, for the first time challenging practices not part of President Trump's travel ban.

California Atty. Gen. Xavier Becerra joined an amicus brief Friday supporting a lawsuit pending in the U.S. Supreme Court that challenges the authority of federal immigration officials to detain noncitizens without providing them a hearing on their removal from the U.S.

Sanctuary gabby. Are you honestly that dumb, or did you learn to be that way?
Question for Gabby: If your state of Californication declares the entire state a Sanctuary State....how will YOU be able to afford paying the multi-millions needed to rebuild that BROKEN DAM?
If Trump sticks to his word. ALL OF YOU will have to DOUBLE-TAX all of your ILLEGAL workers to pay for all of the DAMAGE since Trump will be cutting off your FUNDS?
Would you like to honestly answer that question?

So, they were in the country illegally. That is a criminal offense. What is so hard to understand
about that? Are you afraid of losing your gardener, maid, nanny, or groundskeeper?

What, exactly, are you disputing, moonbat?

No one said anything about ICE checkpoints or random sweeps - ICE knew exactly where they were going.

I see your reading comprehension is still zero.

Do you obey the laws?
Do you believe in the Constitution?
Do you believe everything you own is yours?
Do you believe ILLEGALS should be able to take what you have?

Tell us what the word ILLEGAL means to you.
Are you here in America Legally, or Illegally?

ICE Rounds Up 44 Criminal Aliens in Texas Capital

AUSTIN, Texas — Enforcement actions underway in Texas as part of the nationwide Operation Crosscheck have landed 44 criminal aliens in federal detention this week.
Following news about criminal aliens being arrested in Austin, Texas, by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, Breitbart Texas reached out to the local ICE spokesperson to learn if the arrests were part of an ongoing operation. While the ICE spokesperson would not confirm or deny the operation, U.S. Representative Joaquin Castro confirmed the arrests underway in Austin and throughout South and Central Texas are part of Operation Crosscheck.

“I have been informed by ICE that the agency’s San Antonio field office has launched a targeted operation in South and Central Texas as part of Operation Cross Check,” Castro said in a written statement obtained by Breitbart Texas. “I am asking ICE to clarify whether these individuals are in fact dangerous, violent threats to our communities, and not people who are here peacefully raising families and contributing to our state. I will continue to monitor this situation.”

Federal agents conduct sweeping immigration enforcement raids in at least 6 states

U.S. immigration authorities arrested hundreds of undocumented immigrants in at least a half-dozen states this week in a series of raids that marked the first large-scale enforcement of President Donald Trump’s Jan. 26 order to crack down on the estimated 11 million immigrants living here illegally.

The raids, which officials said targeted known criminals, also netted some immigrants who did not have criminal records, an apparent departure from similar enforcement waves during former President Barack Obama’s administration that aimed to just corral and deport those who had committed crimes.

Trump has pledged to deport up to 3 million undocumented immigrants with criminal records. Last month he also made a change to the Obama administration’s policy of prioritizing deportation for convicted criminals, substantially broadening the scope of who the Department of Homeland Security can target, to include those with only minor offenses or those with no convictions at all.

Immigration officials confirmed that agents this week raided homes and workplaces in Atlanta, Chicago, New York, the Los Angeles area, North Carolina and South Carolina, netting hundreds of people. But Gillian Christensen, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), said they were part of “routine” immigration enforcement actions. ICE dislikes the term “raids,” and prefers to say authorities are conducting "targeted enforcement actions".

Reports of Raids Have Immigrants Bracing for Enforcement Surge

In Austin, Tex., undocumented women working in a laundromat cowered in the back of the room, petrified after seeing a video and a photograph of apprehensions outside a local grocery store and burger joint.

A day laborer and mechanic in Staten Island told his 17-year-old son where the list of emergency contacts were, including the name of the guardian who would take responsibility for him and his two younger siblings.

In Savannah, Ga., undocumented restaurant workers were asking for rides rather than walking home, afraid they might be stopped and questioned.

As reports of immigration raids and roundups have rocketed across Twitter, Facebook and texts around the country, undocumented immigrants, their lawyers and advocacy groups are bracing for the increased enforcement that President Trump has called for.
