Has anyone seen the preview's for Vince Vaughn's new moving coming out in November? It looks really good, and it's coming from the people who did the Wedding Crashers. If anyone could find the trailer it would be great if you could put it on here.

He was the only reason I don't want to go see it. He drives me nuts.

Hey, hey, my spotting the discussion on Fred Claus is what attracted me here...I think it's going to be a great Christmas type movie, and Giamatti as Santa is the big attraction for me.

Yikes, Vince is a much better actor and poeple who produced The Wedding Crashers are involved and that is one of the greatest movies of all time.

I think Giamatti is the much better "actor" of the two. Giamatti has played all varieties of characters. Vince Vaughn has, for all intents and purposes, been playing his character from Swingers for his entire career. The only exception that I can think of being Clay Pigeons, a really good, pretty unknown movie.

But, I really wasn't impressed with Wedding Crashers. It was okay, but it suffered from trying too hard at its plot. Were there even any jokes in the last half hour of that movie? I'd give it two stars at the most.

Hey, I wasn't impressed by Wedding Crashers either. Giamatti is great. He proved himself in American Splendor and Sideways and showed another side of his abilities as the police inspector in The Illusionist He was good but not really Oscar worthy in Cinderella Man. And let's not mention one he made last year...don't even want to remember the name rightly...Lady In The Water or something like that..well, everyone's entitled to an occasional bummer..Ho, ho, ho!

I don't see how you can like that Paul guy. I've seen better acting from people in Porno's. Vince Vaughn is the only reason this movie will be a success.

Giamatti was also really good in Man on the Moon, Saving Private Ryan, The Negotiator, and Storytelling.

Like I said before, what have you got??? :D

Man on the Moon - Decent, if whitewashed biopic.

Saving Private Ryan - Easily the best war movie ever made.

The Negotiator - One of my favorite action movies.

Storytelling - OK, I see where you're coming from with this one. It's weird and artsy, but I like it, and it might be my favorite Giamatti performance.

As Frosty mentioned, American Splendor is great as well, especially if you read the comics it's based on. Sideways, I wasn't too impressed with.

He has ruined every movie he has ever been in.

So you're not a fan.

Vince Vaughn may be BUT, but until he puts up and stops playing in formage, Giamatti POWNS or PWNES or whatever that stupid phrase is.

Seriously, The Break Up was probably the worst 30 minutes I ever wasted in my life. :laugh2:

Vince Vaughn is the only reason this movie will be a success.

Vaughn will sell more tickets to the movie than anyone else connected with it...that's why he's getting an unbelievable paycheck for it. But I think Giamatti will be the 2nd biggest ticket-seller with Kevin Spacey 3rd. Ludacris, Kathy Bates, and Elizabeth Banks will each sell a smaller share of tickets and its likely pg rating will sell a lot of tickets to mothers and their kids. Being released on Nov. 9, it might well draw a big Christmas crowd for the several weeks before Christmas and be another Elf. Or of course, it could be a flop. But I expect it to be a hit.

To be honest, I hated the Break-Up, I was dissapointed as I expected a lot more from both of them. There wern't even really funny parts.
