President Trump removes Stephen Bannon from National Security Council

President Trump has kicked Stephen Bannon off his National Security Council, reversing one of the most controversial moves of his tenure.

Bannon, Trump’s chief White House strategist, was removed as part of a broader reorganization, a National Security presidential memorandum revealed Wednesday showed, ending the controversial aide’s brief time on the critical advisory panel.

News of Bannon’s removal was first reported by Bloomberg News.

Trump had tapped Bannon, the former chief of alt-right news site Breitbart, for a spot on the National Security Council just days after his inauguration, sparking an onslaught of criticism from Democrats, Republicans and prominent national security and foreign policy figures.

I read he was put on the council in the first place to keep his eye on Flynn. Makes you wonder if Flynn lying to pence wasn't the first issue trump had with Flynn. Or if he at least had trust issues earlier on....
