I wonder if Reid and others thought similarly in the past 8 years? And I agree to an extent, anytime they go outside the norms, it coud backfire in the future. But when it comes to something like this, a lifetime position on the SC, where the Dems possibly may not have a chance for many years to come - it's worth the chance. :)

It's looking increasingly likely that Trump will be able to appoint a total of 4 Justices.

And now a simple majority vote will make this a breeze. 3 additional Justices with conservatism & youth in their corner will spell out a very nice direction for the country for decades to come.
