BBC news reports former Iranian secular leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is planning to run for office again, against the instructions of Iran's supreme leader Komenie.

This is a complex situation.

It has the backdrop of the nuclear deal between Britain, France, Germany, China, Russia, and U.S.

and at a time when Iran is already elbow deep in colluding with Russia in Syria to prop up Assad.

So is this report on Ahmadinejad true?

If it is, why has he made this decision? Does he want to be "somebody" again? Or does Ahmadinejad actually have a political agenda he wants to advance for Iran?
