Donald Trump sounds like he really misses not being president
http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/28/politics/donald-trump-100-days/index.html

"I loved my previous life, I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," Trump told Reuters. "I actually, this is more work than my previous life. I thought it would be easier."
Then, later: "I do miss my old life. This -- I like to work. But this is actually more work."

Obama said on the way out the presidency has a way of waking you up. Wonder why the Clinton news network didn't pounce on that.

It's a lot of work because he is a hard worker and means to succeed.
He could always be like Obama and take it easy on umpteen taxpayer-paid vacations.

Sounds to me that he's acknowledging what a tough job it is when you're actually trying to do the best job you can. There's a lot of balls in the air to keep track of while simultaneously dismantling the dark pall of liberalism run amok that's hung over the country for the last 8 years.

And to think, he's doing this gratis. Pretty admirable, wouldn't you say Pete?

Doubtful, but what matters is results.

Execs routinely cut deals and discuss problems while playing golf.

Have you ever seen a President do so much in such a short time? I'm not aware of any, and that's with moonbats blocking him at every turn - hell, he STILL doesn't have all the positions filled.

Trump's trips versus Obama's: When vacations cost millions

Compiled by Times editors

The cost of rest and recreation for U.S. presidents can be hard to calculate. But government records make reasonable estimates possible. The short answer: Taxpayers are footing big bills in security and travel costs for presidents to get away from the White House. President Barack Obama and his family cost the American taxpayers in the range of $100 million during his eight years in office. Right now, President Donald Trump is on track to cost something close to that in his first year.

Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, obtained government records in December 2016 near the end of the Obama administration and summarized the Obama family's eight years of travel, putting the known cost at $96.9 million. "The Obamas' notorious abuse of presidential travel perks wasted military resources and stressed the Secret Service. Judicial Watch estimates that the final costs of Obama's unnecessary vacation and political travel will well exceed $100 million," Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said in December. At that time, he added: "President-elect Trump can immediately save taxpayers money by reforming presidential travel."

I don't think Obama is a saint.

Let's keep it real here, yo. In your world he surpassed sainthood long ago and is firmly in the deity realm now.

What do you think about 0bama taking a $400k payday speech from Wall Street? Seems your fellow moonbats are quite appalled with him cashing in like that. Warren's eyes bugged out at least a quarter inch further than normal and her eyebrows look like they're doing a full frontal assault on her retreating hairline.

I wonder, is he going to redistribute all that money to charities? Word is there's another $400k payday coming up, too.

Fun Fact for you, Petey : Congress makes the laws, not the President.

But since you're concerned, here's a few accomplishments :

President Trump started off as aggressive as any President ever in working for the American people as he promised. Now as President Trump’s first 100 days in office come to an end, here is a complete list of his accomplishments and his resulting impact on the economy and world affairs in this very short period of time:

The US Stock Markets are at record highs and millions of Americans are benefitting in their retirement savings accounts.

* The DOW daily closing stock market average rose more than 15% since the election on November 8th. (On November 9th the DOW closed at 18,332 – on March 1st the DOW closed at 21,115).
* Since the Inauguration on January 20th the DOW rose 6.5%. (It was at 19,827 at January 20th and reached 21,115 on March 1st.)
* The DOW took just 66 days to climb from 19,000 to above 21,000, the fastest 2,000 point run ever. The DOW closed above 19,000 for the first time on November 22nd and closed above 21,000 on March 1st.
* The DOW closed above 20,000 on January 25th and the March 1st rally matched the fastest-ever 1,000 point increase in the DOW at 24 days.
* The US Stock Market gained $2 trillion in wealth since Trump was elected!
* The S&P 500 broke $20 Trillion for the first time in its history.
* In the history of the DOW, going back to January 1901, the DOW record for most continuous closing high trading days was set in January of 1987 when Ronald Reagan was President. The DOW set closing highs an amazing 12 times in a row that month. On February 28th President Trump matched President Reagan when the DOW reached a new high for its 12th day in a row!

President Trump decreased the US Debt in his first 100 days by $100 Billion. (President Obama increased the US debt in his first 100 days by more than $560 Billion.)

The US Manufacturing Index soared to a 33 year high in this period which were the best numbers since 1983 under President Reagan.

President Trump added 298,000 jobs in his first month alone (after President Obama said jobs were not coming back!).

Housing sales are red-hot. In 2011, houses for sale were on the market an average 84 days. This year, it’s just 45 days.

Illegal immigration is down 67% since President Trump’s Inauguration.

NATO announced Allied spending is up $10 Billion because of President Trump.

After being nominated by President Trump, Constitutionalist Judge Neil Gorsuch was confirmed and sworn in as Supreme Court Justice in early April.

The President has signed 66 executive orders, memoranda and proclamations as of April 19th, including:

* Notifying Congress of a strike on Syria after it was reported that the country used gas on its citizens.
* Dismantling Obama’s climate change initiatives.
* Travel bans for individuals from a select number of countries embroiled in terrorist atrocities.
* Enforcing regulatory reform.
* Protecting Law enforcement.
* Mandating for every new regulation to eliminate two.
* Defeating ISIS.
* Rebuilding the military.
* Building a border wall.
* Cutting funding for sanctuary cities.
* Approving pipelines.
* Reducing regulations on manufacturers.
* Placing a hiring freeze on federal employees.
* Exiting the US from the TPP.

In addition to all this, the President has met with many foreign leaders from across the globe including Xi from China, Abe from Japan, etc.

That was as of April 19th. Let's not forget the order reversing 0bama's job killing ban on oil exploration & drilling that just got reversed. That's a doozy! I know you'll be cheering along with the rest of us hard working Americans as we benefit from our vast natural resources.

Looking pretty sweet, eh, Petey?

Decent leader? You mean the one where his party controls nearly all forms of gov and yet has yet to pass any significant legislation?

Thanks again petey. In keeping with your previously dumb, and stupid posts here. You have yet to outdo yourself. Every post you make is a WORK OF ART. Much like the art work done by chimps...http://ww1.prweb.com/prfiles/2012/04/08/9382184/Chimp%20Painting.jpg
BUT YOU ARE LESS QUALIFIED HERE.

I saw a guest or a bot or whatever in the who's online list and decided to click it....

Hilarious seeing a liberal wondering if Trump has 4-8 years in him - and then vote Biden, when he only even wants one term and extremely questionable as to whether he can even finish the first. But not a peep of a question as to whether he can do it or not, just hand out the vote anyway, we can read about it afterwards. :rolleyes:

Donald Trump sounds like he really misses not being president
http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/28/politics/donald-trump-100-days/index.html

"I loved my previous life, I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," Trump told Reuters. "I actually, this is more work than my previous life. I thought it would be easier."
Then, later: "I do miss my old life. This -- I like to work. But this is actually more work."

And stands the same now. His personal life is much much more profitable and less hateful & much less work. And yet he got the work done and they say was by far the hardest worker in the WH. Still don't think he'll be hurting for money when out of office. And they're saying he will easily command about $1 million dollars+ in speaking engagements when out as well.

Pretty sure his campaign was basically "only I can do this" "x,y,z is going to be easy". Do I need to remind anyone of that?

He's an extremely confident man, nothing wrong with that nor was there ever. And when facing off against the folks on the left - he basically was/is the only one to get certain things done.

Now, yeah, political correctness and niceness will be back, and the economy will go down as taxes and gas go up. (much more of course)

So there is zero accountability? How do you decide what to trust him on? You voted for him and yet admit he could have lied to your face in every turn.

Where are all the questions about Biden and Harris? Even better, the very questions were right here and you read them and didn't or couldn't address them. And the "could have" in this case turned into a DID LIE to us. And that goes for both Biden and Harris. And accountability? You know there will barely be any and we both know that the leftist supporters wont' care and most will accept the lack of accountability and lack of transparency - just as it was with Obama. What DID you vote for? And why ignore the many lies over the years - and most importantly why ignore the entire laptop issue with Hunter Biden and all of the countries and other evidence that came along with it? And no questions as to whether or not after they had a long successful career of pay for play - whether that will affect things with Biden in office, and also whether they may even step up that game and make even more $$$?

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2017/apr/17/who-plays-more-golf-donald-trump-or-barack-obama/

He did play more golf. That said, politifact hosts more lies about deciding the truth than any other site I know, owned and operated openly by a couple of liberals. Not always wrong, but many many many times they simply lie to cover the left.

Now no one believes him because he's a proven lier. What makes you trust anything he says now? He will lie whenever it suits HIM.

As will Biden and Harris, why aren't you questioning that? I think they all on both sides lie at times. But liberals absolve left politicians, and any crimes or wrongdoing is ALWAYS overlooked and left with questions unanswered. And that's what I believe we will see with the laptop issue.

7 pages already

Guantanamo should be closed yes, and your point? I don't think Obama is a saint.

And I'm betting I could have then and would easily go there now and peg off left and right things that they got wrong. Guaranteed 100%.

Decent leader? You mean the one where his party controls nearly all forms of gov and yet has yet to pass any significant legislation?

And now 4 years later he has accomplished more than Obama and has our economy humming even after the quickest recovery in history. The amount of accomplishments is extremely long and earned against non-stop hatred, lies, accusations against him. And yet he kept going and kept succeeding. And was in the face of a hostile congress the entire time. Can you imagine, Pete, had your side had decency? That they started by attending his inauguration and at least giving him a chance, and also trying to work in a bipartisan manner, and didn't immediately call for 4 years of obstruction?

A cooperative congress and Trump would have paid dividends. Instead, they were successful in getting rid of him after 4 years and replaced him with a large Egg in a suit - and in the process the entire spectrum on the left tossed any dignity and self respect they had right out the window. From folks running for president to democrats in the house and senate & also former, to the majority of supporters on the left & then then entire news that appears on TV or in print, cable or broadcast or paper & to activist judges....

******* Important in this thread? That even though Pete is pretty much your typical liberal - He opened a thread! And it was based on an actual article and Trump's own words - and he returned to answer questions & more or less discussed a subject. And it wasn't all one tiny and hit enter either!
