I heard these rumors not long after his death. Can't really say there's anything more to it than just conspiracy at this point though.

Investigator: Murdered DNC Staffer Was Communicating with WikiLeaks Prior to Death

New information has come out regarding the mysterious death of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich almost a year ago. Rich was shot and killed last July in Northwest D.C., and although nothing was stolen from him, police have suggested the killing was a botched robbery. A private investigator is now claiming that police sources have told him that there is evidence on Rich's laptop that shows he was emailing WikiLeaks prior to his death. The sources also say that they were told to "stand down" on investigating the crime.

The murder happened shortly before Wikileaks released emails that prompted the resignation of several Democrat leaders on the eve of the Democratic National Convention. Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has insisted all along that the DNC emails were not hacked by the Russians and has strongly implied that Rich was the source of the trove of damaging emails.

On August 9, WikiLeaks offered a $20,000 reward for information on the murdered DNC staffer.

"Whistle-blowers go to significant efforts to get us material and often very significant risks," Assange said. "As a 27-year-old, works for the DNC, was shot in the back, murdered just a few weeks ago for unknown reasons as he was walking down the street in Washington."

Online conspiracy theories have tied Rich's murder to his activities at the DNC. According to FOX 5 DC, new information has emerged that lends credence to the theories.
