Why There Won’t Be Any Evidence Of Russian ‘Collusion,’ Explained In Just Two Paragraphs

The narrative that President Donald Trump has questionable ties to Russia persists, even though evidence of collusion has yet to come to light and probably won’t.

Conservative blogger Jim Geraghty, a contributor for National Review and noted #nevertrumper, explained the complete lack of evidence in just two very straightforward paragraphs.

Are any Democratic lawmakers starting to fear that they’re not going to find that evidence? The intelligence community is presumably always watching the Russian government as closely as they can. The FBI counterintelligence guys presumably track Russian agents on our soil as much as possible. You figure the NSA can track just about any electronic communication between Russians and figures in the Trump campaign. If there was something sinister and illegal going on between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, the U.S. government as a whole had every incentive in the world to expose that as quickly as possible.

They didn’t expose it before Election Day, they didn’t expose it before the Electoral College voted, they didn’t expose it before Inauguration Day … How many months have the best investigators in the United States been digging into this?

all the more reason to not look guilty and talk about what is going right, not focusing on what others are saying. It really looks like Trump doesn't understand that the more he's railed about Comey, the more it looks like he's hiding crap.

I've got no problem whatsoever with an investigation. I think that in the long run it makes the Dems look worse than they do already, and it may even find a few things about them in there. :)

If Mueller is the man so many say he is, hopefully he is going to find that there was no collusion and let the governing go forward. It could be the best thing that happened to Trump, if he and those around him are found to have not done what the Dems keep saying they did. It will take away their credence of future accusations.

This is exactly why the investigator was appointed - it's not like the democrats could have made this happen without GOP & Trump's assistance. Trump called their bluff and has nothing to hide.

So, when Mueller wraps this up, the moonbats will have egg all over their faces. And, as an added bonus, Hellary and Crew are in very real danger of a bona fide investigation without 0bama's corrupt DOJ providing cover.

Ypu're right about the sci-fi part, but it makes sense only to people like you, rev. It was an early 80s flick funded by the Vince McMahon when he was promising wrestlers movie roles and trying to branch out. It's a b-budget flick with a b-budget cast and b-budget script. How many special counsels were appointed during 0bama's 8 years of scandals, despite GOP controlling both houses? DOJ is under the President - I would be the first to say this arrangement has been a conflict of interest, but it is what it is.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing where Mueller ends up with his investigation. It will put to bed the ridiculous moonbat conspiracy theories and quite possibly blow open DNC & Hellary crimes.

Former NH Gov. Calls Out CNN, ‘How Much Crow Are You Going To Eat?’

Former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu had some strong words about the recent Russia investigation for CNN on Tuesday.

Sununu appeared on “New Day” where he and Alisyn Camerota got into it right away.

Camerota said that Sununu should be gravely concerned if there was any collusion between the Trump administration and Russian government officials.

“I don’t see any evidence of collusion, do you?” asked Sununu. He followed up by saying that the lack of evidence should end the media’s reporting on the subject.

Sununu also believes that anything that would have been found against Trump or his staff, would have already been uncovered.

“You’re seven months into the investigation,” Sununu said.

Camerota came back and said that the governor’s point was unfair and that the real investigation was just beginning.

To which the governor replied frankly, “How much crow are you going to eat?”

I too will await, and I believe this will be the most thorough and detailed actions to date of course.

And while I agree to an extent about the intel committees, and they don't have daily access to some tools. How do you think they get their information? They get their updates directly from the intel agencies themselves. So when someone like Dianne Feinstein comes out of an intel committee meeting, and states that she saw no evidence of collusion at all, it's with direct access to the latest intel.

Sadly though, Trump will be convicted in the court of public opinion. He's already on his way there just with this Comey announcement. But facts, and provable facts, and communications, that's what I want to see!!

---

Comey to testify publicly about Trump confrontations

(CNN)Fired FBI director James Comey plans to testify publicly in the Senate as early as next week to confirm bombshell accusations that President Donald Trump pressured him to end his investigation into a top Trump aide's ties to Russia, a source close to the issue said Wednesday.

Final details are still being worked out and no official date for his testimony has been set. Comey is expected to appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating possible connections between the Trump campaign and Russia during last year's presidential election.

Comey has spoken privately with Special Counsel Robert Mueller III to work out the parameters for his testimony to ensure there are no legal entanglements as a result of his public account, a source said. Comey will likely sit down with Mueller, a longtime colleague at the Justice Department, for a formal interview only after his public testimony.

When he testifies, Comey is unlikely to be willing to discuss in any detail the FBI's investigation into the charges of possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign -- the centerpiece of the probe, this source said. But he appears eager to discuss his tense interactions with Trump before his firing, which have now spurred allegations that the president may have tried to obstruct the investigation. If it happens, Comey's public testimony promises to be a dramatic chapter in the months-long controversy, and it will likely bring even more intense scrutiny to an investigation that Trump has repeatedly denounced as a "witch hunt."

The appointment of Mueller as a special counsel in the Russia investigation had raised concerns among some members of Congress that his probe could scuttle the chance for Congress and the public to hear directly from Comey. That appears less likely now that Mueller and Comey have discussed the limits of his testimony.

Based on all of this RUSSIA connection FAKE NEWS where ANYONE who has communicated in ANY WAY with someone from RUSSIA...has to be in collusion with Russia. Back in the early 90's, at Little Creek, Virginia Amphibious Base. We had occasion to welcome the crew of a RUSSIAN navy ship aboard while I was standing OFFICER OF THE DECK on the Quarterdeck.
I must have colluded with the Russians since I TRADED my Navy Ball Cap with a Russian sailor, for several Russian Post cards (which I still have today).

Bottom line. DEMOCRATS are so full of HATRED, and LITERAL STUPIDITY. Not to mention how totally upset, bothered, insulted, and offended because HILLARY lost.
