The first line tells the story:

(emphasis mine)

SEATTLE - Even though it is against the law, Seattle leaders are pushing to adopt a controversial income tax proposal that would be a first for Washington state.

Wednesday night saw the first public hearing on the plan, and council chambers were packed with supporters.
“The Seattle City Council is on the cusp of voting for a tax on the richest people in our city. This is incredible,” said Councilmember Kshama Sawant in her opening remarks.

An overflow crowd turned out to embrace this latest solution to the city’s money problems.
“Tax the rich,” said Bowe Samantha Oddisey during the public comment portion. “We need safe, affordable housing and we need infrastructure."

Truly freaking nuts. There's not one damn thing stopping people from donating to their cities or states or to the federal government directly. Hell the IRS has set up a direct way to do so. What a farce.

Won't all the moonbats be pleased when the rich simply pack up and leave?

And Boeing & Microsoft move to a friendlier state?

You'd think someone would learn from the mistakes California has made - and still is making.

Boeing already moved to Chicago 20 years ago or more; at least their corporate hq. What they will do is make it so any income earned in seattle becomes subject to the tax- not just residency-rules. They are mental midgets, lacking foresight, wisdom, and above all, desire for liberty.

What about the Everett plant ?

Most of the plants are still there in the region - but the HQ moved in 2001 thanks in part to tax incentives ($40M over 20 years) from the state of Illinois, and city of chicago property tax breaks.

What will they do for funding when all of the RICH move out of Seattle?
This is what most cities, towns, and counties across the nation are doing when DEMOCRATS RUN THE SHIT SHOW.
