Lawrence Ripple, 71, was having a tough time at home. On September 2, 2016 he had an argument with his wife. After deciding he could no longer saty in the same house, he went to the bank. And robbed it. He handed the teller a note claiming he had a gun and demanding money. He got $2,924.00 for his work, the waited to be arrested. During the post Miranda interview he told the FBI that he no longer wanted to be in his situation and would rather be in jail than at home with his wife.
His sentence? Six months home confinement and 50 hours of community service!
