Colin Kaepernick speaks out about police brutality

Following the acquittal of a police officer charged in the death of Philando Castile in Minnesota, there’s definitely been a renewed conversation in America about police brutality and the justice system. After nearly a week of deliberations, the jury found Jeronimo Yanez not guilty of all counts in the July 2016 shooting of Castile. The shooting took place in a suburb of St. Paul and was caught on video. Yanez’s acquittal was met with strong condemnation from protesters around the United States. As a man who led a national anthem protest this past NFL season, free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick took to social media on Friday to speak out against the perception of police brutality.

I KNOW that's got to hurt the SgtMaj. Two canes? That's hard corps.

Kaepernick would probably faint if the SgtMaj went after him. What a pansy-ass loser. From Superbowl to Toilet Bowl in 2 years. I'm impressed. He hasn't even been picked up as a desperation 3rd stringer. So he matters HOW exactly?

That's what happens when folks think playing sports is "heroic". They have no idea what true heroism looks like.

Saw a Kaepernick jersey at Kohl's yesterday, in the 70% off clearance rack.

So is Philando Castile a hero as well since he was not just shot at, but shot DEAD,
after doing nothing but legally carrying a gun with a permit and trying to get ID that the officer asked for?

Or is the cop a hero for killing a man for no good reason?

A jury that saw the video doesn't agree with your supposition. Me neither. I used to hate that crap in the Corps. What was he supposed to do? Wait to get shot?

ANY adult in our society today that doesn't think making sudden moves around a cop is going to amp up the situation is just a dumbass and shouldn't be carrying a weapon to begin with. You can cry all you want in court. May be a pain in the ass but it beats a cold slab for a bed.

Careful there, Rev. That kind of stretch might make you unbalanced!

All he was doing was JUST reaching for ID? You KNOW that? And how? The officer states and feels differently, and obviously what was recorded wasn't enough to have a jury find him guilty. But I'm assuming, that you are stating that he killed someone for no good reason, and did it for reaching for ID....

other than his girlfriends word - what do you base this on? It's one thing to all have opinions leading up to a court case and then hearing all of the facts. But you're finding him guilty, after he was found not guilty - and have no evidence to base that on.

With that crap said, this is about Kaepernick, and I'm thrilled that he remains unemployed and hope he never steps foot on the field again. He's oppressed. I say let him go play in the CFL.

Man, I wish I could be an oppressed man with millions of dollars. And then he gambled by playing games with our national anthem. That's his RIGHT, and he used that right - and now others are using their rights. I hope he enjoyed his time gambling.

We must all remember, when reading posts from REV. Anything negative about cops is his agenda. Anyone who defends a cop is a racist. PERIOD.

Colin is misguided and he is putting lies above truth. Listen to Larry Elders.
