A 36-year-old Minot man will serve three years in prison and be required to register as a sex offender for sexting last year with the 17-year-old girl who became his wife a few months later.

Thomas Hannibal Drumgold II... pleaded guilty on Wednesday in district court in Minot to promoting obscenity to a minor and possession of child pornography, both Class C felonies. The state agreed to drop a third charge of corruption of a minor against Drumgold.

Let me try to explain American society to outsiders.

In the United States, our culture propagates sexuality within our children. We consume photos of young sexual people - those adolescent-looking models on the magazine covers are there because we buy the magazines if they are there. We want to see and want to sexualize our kids - "we" as a group, not individually of course - through our public schools. (http://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher/pedagogy-sexualizing-children-new-york-city-public-schools/) We host parades of sexuality and school dances. (http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-11-15/teenagers-celebrate-their-sexuality-lgbt-school-formal/8027056). We buy films and TV with sexualized kids. We allow kids to choose their sexuality despite not "allowing" them to have actual sex.

Here we have a young lady deciding to NOT be a sexual deviant - had she come out as disturbed-enough to claim she's a boy she would have been celebrated. Had she self-identified as an 18 year old she might have avoided her now-husband having to register as a sex-offender.

We require women to cover their nipples in public but do not require men to cover theirs. We call women feeding their babies obscene but we brag about other women killing their babies. We shield our kids from just about ALL nudity, confusing nudity with sexuality.

On matters of sex, American society is Just backwards as all hell.

That varies by state. We know a woman whose 16 year old daughter gave a blowjob to a 27 year old guy in a park. She called the cops. Age of consent is 16.

Cops couldn't do anything.

I remember a story like this in my social problems class.
