If restricting lawful ownership of Guns does NOT make society measurably safer, WHY would we support the laws doing that very thing? Does it come from the irrational "Well, we HAVE to do SOMETHING!!" argument? Does it come from the rightly-distraught families of those murdered by people with ILLEGAL firearms? The USA has plenty of faults (see also: 'progressives'), but at least, for now, we have not lost, not completely lost our unalienable RIGHTS (what is unalienable cannot be taken away or denied.) to life and liberty.

And on Trump's efforts to help us...

Democrats use the safety argument but they don't mean it. If they did mean it there would be no exceptions, no one would receive a permit. Guns make people equal and that's their problem. The Democrats rely on inequality, without it they are politically irrelevant.
