North Korean projectile passed over Japan, reports say

North Korea fired a missile over Japan, according to local media.
The projectile passed over the Tohoku region at the northern end of Japan.
Local government urged people living in the area to take refuge in solid buildings or underground shelters, NHK reported.

From what I've read so far, went into the ocean, AFTER passing through Japan's airspace. Something will have to be done.

I've been watching the morning show on fox news, with the tv on mute 90% of the time, but so far not a single word about the pie faced NK retard. Just non stop hurricane coverage. There are several stories on the drudge report however. Japan is pissed, and understandably so.

Ah news, most of their reporters are on site, that's where the cameras are. Just read something in the Independent, think that's a UK outlet. It said that South Korea dropped more than a few bunker buster bombs on the border, to demonstrate that they can deal with N. Korea if pushed.

Yes, the Independent is a UK news'paper'. Or at least, it used to be. Sales of it were so bad that, ultimately, they had to stop selling printed newspapers and restrict their activities to an online presence.

They started out as fully independent. Then, they veered sharply to the Left during the Iraq War. Their reporting has had a broadly Left-leaning bias ever since.

As for the latest from N Korea ... it's surely obvious that the Bad Haircut Guy is being so provocative and belligerent that he'll have to learn a lesson the hard way. I don't see this stopping, and failing to get progressively worse, until his regime suffers a military challenge it cannot shrug off.

Sanctions are getting nowhere (and are doubtless only hurting the poorest people in that country, anyway). Left to its own devices, all N Korea will do is further refine its capabilities until a truly intolerable threat emanates from them.

Even Trump is obviously wary of taking them on, head-on ... but I trust him to act before the threat gets too bad. He will have to. No doubt those on the Left will find a way of blaming TRUMP for any action he takes, and not the real cause of it all .....

Sanctions have worked, thus far, have they ?

You really think so ?

State your case for thinking that future sanctions will have the desired effect. Show us any evidence leading you to such a conclusion.

Nobody guided by reason seeks out war unless or until it's necessary. But, seriously ... what ELSE is going to stop the N Korean situation from getting progressively worse, until they ultimately present an intolerable threat to even the US ?

The Left invariably shuns reality when that reality isn't a preferred one in their worldview. But, reality always wins out. Casting a blind eye to a threat and saying the equivalent of 'I see no ships' really does nobody any good.

It's a prediction. I didn't say it works. We're going to live with a nuclear north korea. There is no military option until you figure out what to do with the millions that could die in seoul and what to do with NK when military campaign is over. Have you thought of that one at all? Trump is all talk on this one. Mark my words. No president wants a NK war on his sheet. He'll stall for the next president like the ones before have.

The White House
Office of the Press Secretary

For Immediate Release

August 29, 201
Statement by President Donald J. Trump on North Korea

The world has received North Korea’s latest message loud and clear: this regime has signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for minimum standards of acceptable international behavior.

Threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the North Korean regime’s isolation in the region and among all nations of the world. All options are on the table.

You say 'we're going to live with a nuclear north korea'.

So tell me ... how's that worked out, so far, Pete ? Has it worked out well ? Do you see NO threat anywhere on the horizon ?

Perhaps you think that the N Korean regime will make no further progress, technologically ? That they cannot refine their capabilities, and to a totally unacceptable level ?

When Russia placed their missiles on Cuban soil, precipitating the Cuban Missile Crisis, would your approach, then, have just been to say 'we will live with it' .. ?

Wars are messy. The innocent die along with, shall we say, the 'less innocent'. But what's the alternative, a N Korea left alone to refine its equipment to the point where they can one day nuke a US city, on a whim, and with precision ? And what about any territories any nearer ? Can you vouch for THEIR safety ??

No. Pete, sometimes reality can be ugly, and very far from perfect. You either deal with it realistically, or, if you stick your head in the sand for too long, you end up paying a VERY costly price for it.

Show me an ostrich capable of shrugging off any and all forms of military aggression, including one that's 'nuke-proof', and I'll rethink this. Until or unless you can, I invite you to take a reality check.

Let me know how that turns out for you.

Maybe if you knuckleheads took time and studied NK a bit you'd understand the situation better. Their goal is not to start a serious war with the US. How does that help them? They are not suicidal. For decades they've had the capability to kill millions of south koreans including tens of thousands of US military men. Yet they haven't. Experts have long stated their goal is to get a nuke to force us into negotiations to leave south korea and then they can begin their unification campaign with the south.

In the end we'll just have to see. But I strongly predict Trump is all talk. Pretty much everyone knows it. There are no military options that most of the US or the world could accept. Maybe you could, but, that means nothing.

No, pretty much everybody DOESN'T know IT, and the safety of Japan, SK, the United States or anyone else NK could hit with a nuclear missile, isn't up to whether or not the "world accepts it" or not, and it never has been.

And NK wants no part of unification with SK. You actually think the pie faced little dictator retard Kim Flung Dung is going to give up his good thing for a free nation where people get to think and do as they please? How ignorant can you be?

Yes, all military options are on the table at this point, and I wouldn't be surprised if CHINA hit NK to teach them a lesson, because every time this little punk fires off one of those POS rockets, it looks bad for CHINA, and the pressure for China to do something about it gets more intense, and China does NOT want to lose "most favored trading partner with America," that would crush their economy. So their choice is either deal with the moron in NK, which is hundreds fold LESS valuable to China than America is, or lose their trading with America which would throw them into financial ruin. Now what do you think China would do?

You have complete shortsightedness and miscalculations about NK and what can be done about it, as well as misjudging the resolve of president trump, or Japan.

Tell us of your evidence which says that he'll back off. That he'll cease his belligerence. That his program of military improvements is going to cease. That no more missiles will be launched.

Pete, it's YOU who needs to get real !

Time will indeed tell. It can pass without no countermeasures being deployed, in which case, you'll give Bad Haircut Boy all the advantage he could ask for. WHY would you want him to have that ??

Sanctions notwithstanding (and they've proved useless in any case) ... N Korea HAS been left alone. Do you like where it's led, so far ?

Presumably you said this last year about N Korea ? The year before ? The year before that ?

Pete ... the world has been sitting on its hands where N Korea's concerned, for quite a few years. We see the result, don't we ? A belligerent regime, given and therefore taking all of that time to build up an arsenal, and refine its militaristic capabilities, during those years.

Now, after those years, we see launch after provocative launch of its missiles .. and no sign of its stopping.

Waiting around to see what will happen, Pete, HAS led us to the current crisis. Waiting for yet longer still will bring ... a reversal, just because Bad Haircut Boy 'suddenly' gets an attack of moderation, and backs off ?

If you're entertaining such a thought ... well, you can't be serious.
