He takes no salary to work for America. Now he will give up $1 million of his own hard earned money to help the folks hit the hardest in Texas. Some will spin it in various different ways to make it seem like less of a donation. Contrary to the article... fact is, the man has been EXTREMELY charitable over his life, and a lot of it was never spoken of until folks came forward down the line. And no matter here, it's his money and it's being donated. Perhaps not a ton of money for him, but it's still a lot of money. And it's not often we see our presidents, as individuals, forking over money from their own personal bank accounts.

Any few dollars from anyone - all goes to help those in need when disasters like this hit. I've seen a lot of folks coming forward in American - again as usual - folks I don't care for and folks I don't. :) :)

White House: Trump will donate $1 million to Harvey relief

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House says President Donald Trump is pledging $1 million in personal funds to Harvey storm relief efforts.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders made the announcement at a briefing Thursday.

And she says he's calling on reporters to help decide which specific organization he will give to.

Trump has been criticized in the past for giving far less of his income to charitable causes than many other multi-billionaires.

Harvey's flood waters have heavily damaged tens of thousands of homes across Texas and killed at least 30 people. The storm is now threatening the region near the Texas-Louisiana state line.

Let's predict the response of the MSM:

1. It's not enough $$
2. It means nothing to him because he's so rich
3. He's only doing it to look good.

Did I miss any?

Hate-Filled Liberals Attack POTUS For Pledging $1 Million to Hurricane Harvey Relief

President Trump will donate $1 million to victims of Hurricane Harvey, according to White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The President has not decided yet what group the money will go to, but the White House did extend an offer to the press corps to throw out ideas as to who the President should donate to.

The liberals came unhinged over President Trump’s announcement to pledge $1 million dollars to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Makes sense.

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted out that his father is pledging $1 million in personal funds to Harvey relief and like clockwork, the hateful liberals attacked him.

Liberals prove everyday that they truly are the mentally ill of society. Many liberals implied the money was coming from a Russian bank, others complained that it wasn’t enough money. Remember when Obama pledged $1 million of his own money to the Louisiana flood victims? Neither do we.

From the get go he stated clearly that his donation would NOT be from his foundation but rather from his personal funds. Here is one from the NY Times:

WASHINGTON — President Trump has pledged to donate $1 million from his personal fortune to storm victims in Texas and Louisiana.

“He would like to join in the efforts that a lot of the people that we’ve seen across this country do,” Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, said Thursday during her daily briefing at the White House.

Ms. Sanders said the president has not decided when or where he will send the donation.

“He actually asked that I check with the folks in this room, since you are very good at research and have been doing a lot of reporting into the groups and organizations that are best and most effective in helping and providing aid, and he’d love some suggestions from the folks here and I’d be happy to take those,” she told reporters.

Mr. Trump’s pledge is one of the largest financial commitments made by a sitting president to a charitable cause. Ms. Huckabee, pressed by reporters, said she wasn’t sure whether the donation would come from Mr. Trump’s foundation or his own bank account, saying only that it would come from the president’s “personal” funds.

Trump to donate $1 million in personal funds to Texas relief efforts

President Trump will donate $1 million towards Hurricane Harvey relief in Texas, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Thursday.

The president said he will donate his personal money, according to Sanders, although she could not say with certainty that the president meant his own bank account and not the Donald J. Trump Foundation. Mr. Trump, who will visit Texas Saturday for the second time since the deadly storm hit, has yet to pick a charity and is open to suggestions, Sanders said. Sanders said she would "assume" the money comes from the president's personal funding, as that is how he phrased it.

Here's my take, I don't care if he gives money or if he does so, from which sources of his he gives. To me, it's really not my business. Charity in general should only be 'publicized' in order to encourage others to do the same.

However, for those that do care, it's a story. Look at Sander's quote again.

Again, I just think the WH should NOT respond to these stories, which are only to have them source a 'Trump lie.'
