Manhunt underway. IED, did not fully detonate but 20 hospitalized with burns. The device was on a timer to go at height of rush hour.

I think this was done more just for its newsworthiness / impact value, than to kill en masse. The area chosen for this was an outlying one, SW London(ish) area, very much a suburban environment, rather than a busy Central London one.

So on those grounds, it doesn't particularly qualify as 'a major incident' as such. As you'd expect, though, our news is dominated by it.

I don't see the point of it, in any case. We know what terrorists are capable of. We don't need reminders !
